Objective To observe the efficacy of somatostatin on elderly patients with acute suppurative cholecystitis and its impact on the C-reactive protein (CRP), prealbumin (PA) and total bilirubin (TBIL) effects before or after operation. Method 110 elderly patients with acute suppurative cholecystitis, which from January 2011 to June 2013, were randomly divided into observation group and control group, each group had 55 cases, the control group were gave operation, the observation group were treated with somatostatin on basis of control group before and after operation. The operative time, blood loss, postoperative visual analog scale (VAS) score and morbidity were observed. At the same time, the levels of CRP, PA and TBIL were detected before and after operation. Results After treatment, the blood loss, postoperative hospital stay and postoperative complication rate in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group (P<0.01), while the differences in operative time and postoperative VAS score between two groups were not significant . After treatment, the levels of CRP, and TBIL appear significantly lower than those before treatment (P<0.01), while the PA levels appear significantly higher compared with those before treatment (P<0.01), the decreasing or increasing levels in observation group were more obvious compared with control group (P<0.01). Conclusion The adjuvant therapy efficacy of somatostatin were obvious before and after operation, they can significantly reduce the body's inflammatory response, and promote the postoperative recovery.

Objective To investigate the gene expression of sodium pump α-subunit in aortic smooth muscle of 1-kidney-1-clip (1k1c) hypertensive rats. 　Methods 1k1c hypertensive rats were prepared by partially ligating the left renal artery and removing the right kidney. 4 weeks later, all the rats were killed and sodium pump α1- , α2-, and α3-subunit in aortic smooth muscles were detected with reverse transcription p ol ymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method and immunohistochemical assay at both mR NA and protein levels, respectively. 　Resulsts Changes in the expression of sodi um pump α-subunit gene were found in aortic smooth muscles of 1k1c hypertensiv e rats: α1-su bunit increased at both mRNA protein levels, while α2- and α3-subunits r emained without changes. 　Conclusions There were great changes in the gene expression of so dium pump α-subunit in aor tic smooth muscles of 1k1c hypertensive rats, which might be related to the development of hypertension in this hypertensive model.

Objective To explore the relationship between endogenous ouabain and the pathogenesis of hyper- tension. Methods ① Sixteen Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were selected and randomly divided into two groups, and then the rats were injected with ouabain in dosage of 20μg/kg. d and normal saline (NS), respectively. The indirect systolic blood pressure of all the rats were recorded once a week. ②) Twenty-five lk1c (one kidney and one clipped) hypertensive rats were established and injected randomly with anti-ouabain antibody, normal rabbit IgG and normal saline, respectively. The direct blood pressure of all the lklc hypertensive rats were recorded by cannulated carotid artery for 3h after administration. Results The systolic blood pressure of rats injected with ouabain began to increase 2 weeks after ouabain administration and increased significantly at 6 weeks compared with NS group (17.7±1.2)kPa vs .(15.4±1.1)kPa, P＜ 0. 01). Anti-ouabain antibody could significantly decrease the blood pressure of 1 k1c rats, while the normal rabbit IgG could not. ConclusionThe results of this study indicate that endogenous ouabain might be one of the pathogenetic factors of hypertension.

Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RALRP) and retropubic radical prostatectomy (RRP).Methods From May 2004 to September 2013,data from 124 prostate cancer patients were collected.Of them,41 cases underwent RALRP,and 83 cases underwent RRP.The following clinical data was reviewed and analyzed,including operation time,blood loss,transfusion rate,duration of catheterization,time of postoperative hospital stay,postoperative pathology,continence and biochemical recurrence.Results All the operations were successfully performed,without RALRP converted to open surgery.The mean operation time of the RALRP group and the RRP group was 224 min and 165 min,mean blood loss was 266 ml and 659 ml,the transfusion rates were 20％ and 86％,the mean postoperative hospital stay was 16.4 d and 17.9 d,the positive margin rates were 24％ and 10％,the differences were significant (P ＜ 0.05).The mean catheterization time was 27.2 d and 23.5 d (P ＞ 0.05).The 6-month,1-year and 2-year biochemical recurrence rates were 8％,21％ and 24％ in RALRP group,and 13％,16％,31％ in RRP group.The 3-month,6-month,1-year and 2-year continence rates were 56％,70％,80％ and 94％ in RALRP group,and 55％,70％,78％ and 79％ in RRP group.For biochemical recurrence and continence rates,there was no significant difference between the 2 groups.Conclusions RALRP possesses advantages of less bleeding and faster recovery.In addition,the effect of postoperative oncology and continence is similar to open surgery.

Objective To quantitatively investigate the effect of low-dose ionizing radiation on the frequencies of chromosome aberrations and micronucleus-containing cells of radiation workers.Methods Nine electronic databases were systematically searched on the basis of the published studies evaluating the effects of low-dose ionizing radiation on the frequencies of chromosome aberrations and micronucleuscontaining cells.Of the 195 studies searched,21 studies were identified with a total of 1 970 626 cells under studying.Cochrane' s Q and I2 statistics were used to evaluate heterogeneity among studies and pooling odds ratio (OR) with 95％ confidence intervals (CI) were calculated using random-effect models or fixed-effect models,and publication bias were also calculated.Meta-analysis was performed using Stata 12.0.Results The pooling OR of chromosome-type aberrations [OR =3.03 (2.59,3.56)],dicentric plus centric rings [OR =4.12 (2.99,5.67)],translocations [OR =2.73 (1.67,4.46)],micronucleuscontaining cells [OR =1.70 (1.40-2.06)] were higher for radiation workers when compared with control group.Conclusions The frequencies of chromosome aberrations and micronucleus cell of peripheral lymphocytes are significantly high in radiation workers who were occupationally exposed to low-dose ionizing radiation.It should be noted that the radiation protection of radiological workers be enhanced.

Objective To identify the sounces of occupational stress and explore the relationship between occupational slreas and social support for nurses in ICU.Methods A descriptive and correlation design was used in this study.From July to October in 2007,159 nurses from 8 ICU and 160 nurses from common wards completed the questionnaires.Statistical analysis was performed for the investigation results.Results The ayes age score of occupational stress for nurses in ICU was (3.41±0.73),which was in a moderate to high level.The main stress was that they regarded nursing as a high risk career,maximums working intensity,always overload work and frequent night-shift.While the average score of occupational stress for nurses in common wards was (3.29±1.05).The main stress was that they regarded nursing as a high risk career,Score of occupational stress between nurses in ICU and com wards had no statistical difference(P＞0.05).There was a significant negative correlation between occupational stress and social support for nurses in ICU(r=-0.159,P＜0.05).And the sup port by friends was into the equalion by multi-linear regression.Conclusions The level of occupational stress for murses in ICU was fairly hish.Scientific management of human resource,reducing work pressure of nurses and workloed,exerting various social support will benefit for reducing the stress of nurses in ICU.

Two DNA fragments, designated as P190CRI (AA1-55) and P190CRV (AA1597-1667) respectively, which encoded amino acid residues of conserved region I and V on the P190 antigen, were amplified by polymerase chain reaction from genomic DNA in FCC1/HN strain of Plasmodium falcipamm isolated from Hainan Province, China. It was found that there were five bases substitution in the P190CRV, in comparison with the nucleotide sequences of MAD20 strain. These two sequenced fragments were inserted into pGEX-2T plasmid. E.coli JM109 (DE3) were transformed with the recombinant plasmids and the parental plasmid. The results show that the two fragments were expressed at high level as C-terminal fusions with glutathione s-transferase (GST). The fusion proteins were easily purified from bacterial lysates by affinity chromatography using glutathione sepharose 4B.

AIM: To investigate the regulation of sodium pump ?-subunit gene expression in the cortex of kidneys from one kidney one clip (1k1c) hypertensive rats. METHODS: 1k1c hypertensive rats were prepared by partially ligating the left renal artery and removing the right kidney. 4 weeks later, all the rats were killed, the levels of sodium pump ? 1-, ? 2-, and ? 3-subunit mRNA and protein in the cortex of kidney were detected with reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) method and immunohistochemical assay, respectively. RESULTS: The mRNA levels of sodium pump ? 1-subunit increased and ? 2- and ? 3-subunit were unchanged in the cortex of kidneys from 1k1c hypertensive rats compared with control rats, while no change has been found for all the three subunits gene expressions at protein level. CONCLUSION: There were some changes in the expression of sodium pump ?-subunit gene in the cortex of kidney of the 1k1c hypertensive rat, which might be related to the development of hypertension in this hypertensive model.

OBJECTIVEBy observing the adipogenic and angiogenic microenvironment impact on the morphology of newly generated tissue for exploring the key factors which inducing mature adipose tissue regeneration in tissue engineering model.

METHODS24 healthy 6 months' New Zealand rabbits were picked and put into four groups according to different microenvironment. Every group has 6 rabbits and divided as follows: no axial-blood supply fat flap(0 ml), granular fat only(0.6 ml), axial blood vessel only (0.05 ml), axial vascularized fat flap ((0.6 ml). We separated or combined adipogenic and angiogenic environment within these groups. After 8 weeks, samples were harvested for histologic observation including macroscopic observation, volume analysis and HE testing.

RESULTSIn granular fat group, its volume decreased by (0.25 ± 0.10) ml after 8 weeks as the shortage of blood supply and finally it could be enveloped. In axial blood vessel group, its volume increased by (0. 37 ± 0. 04) ml after 8 weeks with fibrous tissue formation as shortage of adipogenic microenvironment. The no axial-blood supply fat flap group grew into(0.12 ± 0.03) ml, which can' t support large volume adipose tissue formation because of lacking independent blood supply. Only axial vascularized fat flap model could generate mature adipose tissue in large volume(3.45 ± 0.48) ml. The number of new capillary in every group was different after 8 weeks. By counting the numbers in every single view, no axial-blood supply fat flap group 15 ± 3.5)and granular fat only group(5 ± 2.5)had a significant difference with axial vascularized fat flap group 22 ± 5) respectively.

CONCLUSIONOnly both adipogenic or angiogenic microenvironment exist could induce mature adipose tissue in large volume in tissue engineering chamber model.

AIM: To explore the role of endogenous ouabain (EO) in the development of hypertension and its secretion character in 1k1c hypertensive rats(HR). METHODS: EO contents of plasma and tissues in 1k1c HR were detected by ELISA. The relationships between plasma and tissues ouabain and blood pressure were analyzed. RESULTS: EO contents of plasma, heart, kidney, adrenal gland, pituitary and hypothalamus in lklc HR were significantly higher than those of normal rats, especially in the adrenal gland and hypothalamus. EO contents of serum, kidney and hypothalamus were correlated with blood pressure. CONCLUSIONS: EO might play an important role in the development of hypertension in 1k1c hypertensive rats. Adrenal gland might be the major source of EO.
