Objective To grasp the malaria epidemic situation in Changzhou City from 2010 to 2014,so as to provide the ev?idence for formulating and adjusting malaria control strategies and measures. Methods The epidemiological data of malaria cas?es in the special report system from 2010 to 2014 were collected,and the malaria epidemic situation and the diagnosis and treat?ment of malaria patients were analyzed. Results There were 132 malaria cases reported in Changzhou City from 2010 to 2014, with a decrease of 27.47%compared to 182 cases from 2005 to 2009. Among the 132 cases,2 cases were local infected cases and the remaining 130 cases were imported cases. Four cases were clinically diagnosed and 128 cases were laboratory con?firmed,with 97 cases of malignant malaria,14 cases of vivax malaria,13 cases of ovale malaria,and 4 cases of quartan malar?ia. The 132 cases were distributed in five districts:56 cases in Jintan City,51 cases in Liyang City,19 cases in Tianning Dis?trict,3 cases in Wujin District,and 3 cases in Xinbei District. The median duration between the onset and treatment of the dis?ease was 2 days,and the median duration between the diagnosis and treatment was 1 day. The diagnosing units were concentrat?ed on the county?level disease control agencies,and medical institutions at county and municipal levels,accounting for 92.42%(122/132). From 2011 to 2014,there were no local malaria cases. Conclusions From 2012 to 2014,there have been no local malaria cases in Changzhou City,and the goal of eliminating malaria has been achieved basically. However,there are still many imported malaria cases,and the infected species are diverse. Therefore,imported malaria is still the key of malaria prevention and control.

Objective To study the effect of relaxation therapy on sleeping quality of patients with post cran- iocerebral traumatic syndrome. Methods 90 cases with sleep disorders were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. The control group was given routine care and the treatment group was given relaxation therapy combined with routine care. Take pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) as evaluation criteria. Results There was significant difference between the two groups( P < 0.01 ). Sleep quality was more improved by relaxation therapy in the experimental group than that of the control group. Conclusion Relaxation therapy can effectively im- prove sleep quality in patients with post craniocerebral traumatic syndrome.

Objective To approach the effect of bed exercise for patients with intracranial aneurysm undergoing neural interventional treatment. Methods Ninety-six patients with intracranial aneurysm were divided into the test group(50 cases) and control group(46 cases).The control group received routine nursing, while the test group carried out bed exercise base on routine nursing. The incidence of complica-tions and changes of life quality were compared between the 2 groups. Results Lower incidence of com-plications took place in the test group than the control group(P ＜ 0.05).But changes in pulse rate and blood were not significant (P ＞ 0.05).The score of life quality in the physical domain and psychological domainwere not statistically different between the two groups (P ＜ 0.01 ),but no evident difference was seen in the domain of social relationship and environmental domain (P ＞ 0.05). Conclusions Bed exercise could al-leviated the anxiety and trepidation of patients with intracranial aneurysm,decrease the incidence of compli-cations such as body pain caused by absolute bed rest,thus improve patients' life quality.

Objective To improve the sleep quality of patients by evaluating the effect of relaxation training in combination with listening to music on sleep quality of patients with intracranial aneurysm who underwent endovascular interventional therapy. Methods 55 patients who reached the entrance standard were divided into the observation group (28 cases)and the control group(27 cases).The control group received routine nursing measures. The observation group were given relaxation training in combination with listening to music based on routine nursing measures. The sleep quality was appraised by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and patients subjective feeling was investigated by self-designed questionnaires. Results The relaxation training in combination with listening to music ameliorated the sleep quality in the observation group compared with that of the control group(P＜0.01).Conclusion The relaxation training in combination with listening to music could improved the sleep quality of patients with intracranial aneurysm who underwent endovascular interventional therapy.

Objective To evaluate the effect of relaxation training combined with listening to music on controlling the pain of patient with intracranial aneurysm before interventional therapy.Methods To determin the pain degree and subjective reception of the patients on admission and after relaxation training combined with listening to music.Results Pain degree relieved obviously after relaxation training combined with listening to music[(7.31±2.24)vs(3.76±2.12),P＜0.01];self-made questionnaire showed the positive evaluation of relaxation training combined with listening to music was 95%.Conclusion Relaxation training combined with listening to music can relieve the pain and general malaise bacause of absolute bedrest before interventional therapy.

Objective To discuss the effectiveness of rehabilitation training after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.Methods Seventy-four cases of arthroscopic rotator cuff repair were studied.They were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group.Both groups received shoulder passive motion training after the operation.The treatment group also received 3-phase shoulder exercises for rehabilitation.changes in American shoulder & elbow surgeons' scores (ASES scores),University of California at Los Angeles shoulder scoring system scores (UCLASS),and visual analogue scale (VAS) scores were assessed pre-operation,and 6 months and 1,2 and 3 years later.Results There was no difference between the groups pre-operation.After the operation,significant improvements in all the outcome measurements were observed in the treatment group.Significant improvement in VAS scores was observed only in the treatment group.Shoulder pain,mobility,range of active forward flexion,strength of forward flexion and patient satisfaction all improved significantly more in the treatment group than in the control group.Conclusions Early and systematic rehabilitation training is an effective way to improve the function of the shoulder joint after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.

Objective To analyze the results of assessment and authentication of malaria elimination of 7 county?level cities and districts in Changzhou City,Jiangsu Province,and explore the suitable monitoring methods for malaria after the elimination in this region,so as to provide the evidence for formulating and adjusting the malaria elimination strategies and measures. Meth?ods The data from the network reports of malaria epidemic situation,blood examinations of febrile patients,epidemiological questionnaires of malaria cases,investigation of epidemic focuses and disposal tables were collected and analyzed in Changzhou City from 2009 to 2014. The clinicians were assessed with the closed?book written examinations for their ability of the diagnosis and treatment of malaria. The inspection personnel were assessed by the microscopical examinations of Plasmodium. Totally 30 negative blood slides were reviewed. In the natural village where the last local case of malaria was located ,200 blood filter pa?pers were collected for gene detection of Plasmodium. Results From 2009 to 2014,145 malaria cases were reported in Chang?zhou City. Totally 170 638 febrile patients received blood detections for malaria,of which 137 cases were positive and the posi?tive rate was 0.08%. The majority of malaria cases were imported except 8 local malaria infection cases in 2009 and 2 local ma?laria infection cases in 2010. Four of seven county?level cities(districts)gained an average score of 20 points on the microscopi?cal examinations of Plasmodium. Liyang City got a minimum average score of 18.8 points. In capacity assessment of malaria diag?nosis and treatment,Liyang City gained the highest average score of 19.8 points,and Qishuyan District got the lowest average score of 18.0 points. The malaria elimination assessment scores of the 7 county?level cities(districts)were all above 93 points. Four county?level cities(districts)(Xinbei District,Wujin District,Liyang City,and Jintan City)carried out the active case detections. A total of 731 cases were detected and the results were all negative. Liyang City in 2012,Zhonglou District and Jin?tan City in 2013,Tianning District,Qishuyan District,Xinbei District and Wujin District in 2014,passed the malaria elimina?tion assessment at county(district)level,respectively. Conclusions All the 7 county?level cities(districts)of Changzhou City have passed the malaria elimination assessment at a high score. After the malaria elimination ,the monitoring should contin?ue to consolidate the achievements.

OBJECTIVE To analyze the correlation factors of nosocomial infection in patients after receiving craniocerebral operation.METHODS Totally 388 hospitalized patients after receiving craniocerebral operation from Jan 2006 to Dec 2006 were studied retrospectively.RESULTS From them 45 pateints were suffering from nosocomial infection and total incidence of nosocomial infection was 11.59%.Among them,60.0% was lower respiratory tract infection,11.11% was surgical wound infection and 8.89% was upper respiratory infection.Aging,length of stay and invasive operation(deep vein needle detaining,trachea incision,tracheal intubation,urinary canal and drainage tube dwelling) were the main correlation tactors.CONCLUSIONS Minimizing invasive operation and early removing various kinds of dwelling tubes,using antibiotics correctly,improving hospitalizd environment and strengthening wards management are the measures to reduce nosocomial infection according its correlation factors.

Objective To understand the capability of parasitic disease diagnosis among professionals from the clinic labora?tory of Class A tertiary hospitals in Jiangxi Province. Methods The teams that took part in the competition were formed from 20 Class A tertiary hospitals,with 2 contestants per team. The competition contents included written examination and skill opera?tion. The written examination involved the life cycle of parasites,immunological basis,detecting techniques,etiological diagno?sis etc.,and the skill operation involved making and dying thin and thick blood smears,making Kato?Katz’s fecal thick smears, as well as microscopic examinations of smears. Results A total of 40 participants took part in the competition. Their total aver?age score was 97.3±22.4 with the pass rate of 15.0%,in which the mean score of theoretical knowledge was 56.6±12.8 with the pass rate of 52.5%,and the mean score of skill operation was 40.8±12.4 with the pass rate of 5.0%. In the written examination, the scoring rate of the life cycle of soil?transmitted helminths was the highest(90.0%),and the rate of the basic knowledge of food?borne parasites was the lowest(31.5%). Both the pass rates of blood smear making and examination were higher than those of Kato?Katz’s thick smears,and the differences were statistically significant( both P<0.05). The detection rates of Plasmodi?um vivax,Plasmodium falciparum,Plasmodium ovale and negative slides of the contestants were 38.8%,45.0%,35.0%and 25.0% respectively. As to the microscopic examination of helminth eggs,the detection rate of Trichuris trichiura egg was the highest(87.5%),and the rate of the Sparganum mansoni egg was the lowest(2.5%). The scores of Kato?Katz’s thick smear making and examination of the contestants from the provincial level hospitals were higher than those from the city level hospitals (both P<0.05),and the score of those from teaching hospitals in Kato?Katz’s thick smear making was higher than that of those from non?teaching hospitals(P < 0.05). Conclusions The technique level of professionals from the clinic laboratory of the Class A tertiary hospitals cannot meet the needs of the diagnosis of parasitic diseases in Jiangxi Province ,which should arouse the attention of the health authorities and hospitals.

ObjectiveTo establish a new biomechanical test for evaluating biomechanical properties of femoral metaphysis in ovariectomized rats.MethodsTwenty-five-month-old female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into ovariectomized (OVX) group and the sham-operated (Sham) group (n=10).Twelve weeks after operation,femur BMD and histomorphometry of distal femur were detected.Furthermore,femur biomechanical parameters were determined by diaphysis three-point bending test and a new designed metaphysis bending test.The relationships between the biomechanical parameters and BMD or bone histomorphometry were assessed with Pearson correlations.ResultsThe femur BMD,bone histomorphometrical indexes(％Th.Ar,Tb.N,Tb.Th),and biomechanical parameters(maximum load,yield load and stiffness) of OVX group significantly decreased compared with Sham group.In metaphysis bending test,the mean difference of the maximum load(Fmax),yield load(Fy) between group OVX and Sham were significant higher than that in diaphysis three-point bending test.Positive correlations between biomechanical parameters and femur BMD or bone histomorphometry indexes were observed in both the diaphysis bending and metaphysis bending test.The biomechanical parameters in the metaphysis bending test showed stronger correlations with BMD and bone.ConclusionFemur metaphysis bending test could be used to evaluate the biomechanical properties of osteoporosis.When compared with diaphysis bending test,femur metaphysis bending test is more sensitive in evaluating the change of biomechanical properties of femur in osteoporotic rats.
