Objective To determine the anatomical and visual outcome of indocyanine-green (ICG)-assisted internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling for idiopathic macular holes. Methods Thirty-one eyes of 31 patients with 3- (14 eyes, 45.2%) and 4-staged (17 eyes, 54.8%) primary idiopathic macular holes were analyzed. All the patients underwent the subtotal pars plana vitrectomy with removal of the posterior vitreous. ICG solution with the concentration of 1.25 mg/ml was injected into vitreous cavity. The ILM was stained and removed in a circular fashion of 2 to 3 disc-diameter from the edge of the hole. At the end of the surgery, 14% C 3F 8 mixed gas was used and the patients were required to maintain a prostrate posture for two weeks postoperatively. The mean follow-up duration was 9.1 months. Results The preoperative median visual acuity was 20/200. In the final follow-up, 28 eyes (90.3%) had anatomical restoration of the macular holes, 21 eyes had improvement of two lines or more of visual acuity. There was no direct complication or toxicity related to ICG-assisted ILM peeling except one patient with retinal detachment caused by peripheral retinal hole. Conclusion ICG-assisted retinal ILM removal appears beneficial and safe for primary idiopathic 3 and 4-staged macular holes.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between dietary -related behaviors of college students and their health , so as to provide the evidence for the health education for college students .Methods:A question-naire survey was conducted among 2105 college students from Xi′an Jiaotong University with stratified cluster ran-dom sampling .Results:In this survey , college students generally had unhealthy dietary behaviors , cognitive bia-ses of self-images and blind unhealthy weight -losing phenomenon as well .And there was a difference of dieting behaviors between college students of different sex and those of different body mass index .Conclusions:Unhealth-y dietary behaviors of college students were one of the main reasons leading to their abnormal BMI .Hence , it was necessary to improve health ethics education and dietary health guidance for college students , so as to introduce them to consciously assume their own health responsibilities and manage their health .

Objective To analyse the results of Zephir semiconstrained or Window dynamic cervical plates with autogenous cortical bone graft in treating the cervical spondylotic myelophathy(CSM). Methods A retrospective review was performed with 43 patients who underwent anterior cervical discectomy, autogenous cortical bone graft with endplate retaining, fixation with Zephir or Window cervical plates. Aim To investigate the preventive effects of misoprostol on osteoporosis in aged ovariectomized(OVX)rats.Methods Female,10-month-old SD rats were ovariectomized(OVX)and,2 months later,were treated with misoprostol or controls for 2 months.The static and dynamic parameters in trabecular bone of the forth lumbar vertebrae(LV4)were examined with histomorphometrical analyses;the fifth lumbar vertebrae(LV5)was used to perform the compression test.Results Compared with the data from the sham-operated rats,the percent trabecular area and elastic modulus significantly decreased in OVX rats.Correspondingly,the bone break load and break stress decreased of post OVX was compared with those of sham-operated rats.Misoprostol increased the percent trabecular area by 21.6% compared with OVX rats,but it couldn't meet the statistical significance.Misoprostol enhanced the break load and elastic modulus compared with OVX rats.Conclusion Misoprostol can improve biomechanics of bone in ovariectomized osteoporosis rats.

AIM:To establish a HPLC fingerprint of Stellera chamaejasme L. from Inner Mongolia Region. METHODS: The RP-HPLC method was used with Akzonobel Kromasil C_ 18 (250 mm?4.6 mm, 5 ?m) the acetonitrile-0.5% phosphoric acid (gradient elution) was used as mobile phase, analytic time was 60 min, and detective wavelength was at 297 nm, the column temperature of 15℃ were adopted. RESULTS: The HPLC fingerprint of Stellera chamaejasme L. set up showed that 14 peaks were co-possessing in different sources. The results of method validation met technical standard of fingerprint, the similarities of Stellera chamaejasme L. were 0.9 to 1.0. CONCLUSION: The method is stable and reliable with a good reproducibility and provides a reference standard for the quality control of Stellera chamaejasme L. from Inner Mongolia Region.

Objective To investigate the expression levels of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6) and the change of serum ferritin in patients with intracranial aneurysm and its clinical significance.Methods 22 patients with intracranial aneurysm and 16 cases of traumatic brain injury who recevied operation in Department of Neurosurgery in Quzhou People's Hospital from Jan.2014 to Jan.2015 were enrolled as observation group and control group.The intracranial aneurysm tissues and normal cerebral vascular tissues were collected respectively to detect the situation of inflammatory cell infiltration,and the expression of TNF-α and IL-6 was detected by HE staining and immunohistochemical staining.The serum was collected on hospitalized,postoperative 3 days and postoperative 7 days to detect serum ferritin.Results The positive cells were observed in the observation group after immunohistochemical staining,in which the expression levels of TNF-α [(0.194 ± 0.074) vs.(0.135 ± 0.047),t =2.799] and IL-6 [(0.152 ± 0.057) vs.(0.103 ± 0.028),t =3.494] were significantly higher than those in the control group(P =0.008,0.001).The serum ferritin level in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group at postoperative 3d [(232.25 ± 105.26) ng/mL vs.(169.51 ± 66.24) ng/mL,t =2.097] and postoperative 7d[(263.39 ± 114.73) ng/mL vs.(166.57 ± 73.71) ng/mL,t =2.955] (P =0.043,0.005).The difference of serum ferritin on different day in the observation group also was statistically significant(F =8.625,P =0.003).Conclusion The expression levels of TNF-α and IL-6 in intracranial aneurysms were high,which may be one of the important factors in the formation of intracranial aneurysms,and it provides an important reference of early prevention and drug treatment for patients with intracranial aneurysm.The serum ferritin is related to the rupture and hemorrhage of intracranial aneurysm,which can be used to judge prognosis and guide rational treatment,and worth further study to confirm.
