Basic & Clinical Medicine 2015;(10):1419-1423
Long non-coding RNAs are important regulators of gene expression.ANRIL which was coded on the Chr9p21.3 loci participates in the pathogenesis of tumor, coronary artery disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus and oth-er diseases.Multiple ANRIL isoforms are tissue-specific.ANRIL mainly functions through Polycomb proteins, while there are also other downstream targets. The mechanism of each isoform and the downstream pathways are hotspots incurrent researches.
2.Comparison of the analgesic efficacy between the epidural and intravenous analgesia after spinal fusion:a Meta-analysis
Chinese Journal of Spine and Spinal Cord 2014;(5):433-439
Objectives: To compare the efficacy of patient-controlled epidural analgesia and patient-controlled intravenous analgesia in postoperative analgesia after spinal fusion. Methods: The CNKI, Wanfang, CBM, Pubmed, Embase, Ovid, Cochrane library databases were searched by computer. The randomized controlled trails with patient-controlled epidural analgesia or patient-controlled intravenous analgesia after spinal fusion published from May 1985 to July 2013 were selected. All of them were assessed by the standard of Cochrane systematic review. Data of postoperative VAS and the rate of side effects after using the analgesic drugs were extracted into an electrical sheet, which was synthesized by a Meta-analysis with RevMan 5.2 software. Re-sult: Eight randomized controlled trails involving 482 patients met the inclusion criteria. And the quality grade of 3 literatures was A, 5 literatures was B. The result of meta-analysis showed that: ①Visual analogue score(VAS). The postoperative first day′s VAS[WMD=-0.47, 95%CI(-0.74, -0.20)], second day′s VAS[WMD=-0.66, 95%CI(-1.14, -0.19)] showed that the patient-controlled epidural analgesia had a good analgesic effect compared with the patient-controlled intravenous analgesia, and both had statistic differences(P<0.05). No dif-ference in the postoperative third day′s VAS[WMD=-0.58, 95%CI(-1.38, 0.21)] was observed between the two methods, and no statistic difference(P>0.05); ②The side effects. The patient-controlled epidural analgesia had a higher incidence of skin itch[RR=1.53, 95%CI(1.08, 2.16)], paresthesia[RR=3.34, 95%CI(1.12, 9.98)] after surgery than the patient-controlled intravenous analgesia, and both had statistic differences(P<0.05). While two groups had no a significant deviation about nausea [RR=1.05, 95%CI (0.79, 1.40)], vomiting [RR=0.80, 95%CI (0.48, 1.31)], and no statistic difference(P>0.05). Conclusions: The patient-controlled epidural analgesia has better analgesic effects on the postoperative first and second day after spinal fusion, but obviously has a high-er incidence of skin itch and paresthesia than the patient-controlled intravenous analgesia.

Objective To observe the effects of mild hypothermia on the dynamic change of neuron specific enolase (NES) in serum, the damaged neuron number around the impact site and the content of brain tissue water following traumatic brain injury (TBI) in rats so as to provide a quantitative parameters to evaluate the protective effect of the mild hypothermia on the brain. Methods A total of 45 SD rats were subjected to a lateral moderate cortical impact injury caused by a free-falling object and divided randomly into three groups:⑴ sham operation group (Group A);⑵ normothermic group (Group B);⑶ hypothermia group (Group C). The Group C was treated with mild hypothermia and the Group B with normothermia immediately after injury. A series of samples were obtained directly 3, 6 and 24 respectively after trauma in three groups. Pathomorphological method was used to observe the number of the damaged cortical neurons around the impact site. The serum concentration of NSE and the water content of brain tissue water were measured by radio-immunoassay. Results Following TBI in rats, the serum level of NSE was significantly increased (P

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2002;0(12):-
Objectives To investigate the etiological factors, clinical features and treatment of pediatric primary spontaneous pneumothorax (PSP). Methods The clinical data of 84 PSP patients under the age of 18 from Departments of Emergency,Respiratory Diseases and Thoracic Surgery of our hospital from June 1999 to June 2009 were collected. There were 72 males (85.7%) and 12 females (15.3%) with a ratio of 6 to 1. Their age ranged from 14 to 18 (mean 17.06). Patients with pneumothorax following trauma, pneumonia, iatrogenic and other underlying causes were excluded. Therapeutic methods included oxygen therapy for 4.8% patients, closed drainage of pleural cavity for 57.1% patients, and surgery for 38.1% patients,But there were 31 patients receiving surgical treatment after closed drainage was failed. The period of follow-up ranged from 1 to 123 months (mean 25.73 months) through telephone or outpatient. Results Eighty-four patients were included,of whom 96.4% had chest pain,7.1% had chest tightness,66.7% had dyspnea,8.3% had shortness of breath and 14.3% had cough. There were 96.4% patients having decreased breathing sound and 3.6% having absent breathing sound. Bullae or blebs occurred mostly in apex and upper lobe. Twenty-one patients suffered from recurrent pneumothorax. Smokers (66.7%,n=9) had higher recurrent rate than non-smokers (22.0%,n=75). Conclusion PSP should be considered when symptoms such as chest pain and dyspnea appear in teenagers. Closed drainage of pleural cavity combined with surgical procedure is recommended for treatment. PSP patient with a history of smoking has higher recurrent rate of PSP.
