Objective To investigate causes and treatment approaches for postoperative complications after laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding(LAGB).Methods Clinical and follow-up data of 302 cases were reviewed.The body mass index (BMI),percent excess weight loss (％ EWL),operation time,intraoperative blood loss,the incidence of complications and management were analyzed and summarized.Results There were no conversion to open surgery.The overall complication rate was 6.29％ including 2 cases of gastric wall injury,5 cases of gastric banding slippage (recovered by reoperation).There was no gastric parietal banding corrosion,tube bursting leakage,pulmonary embolism,micronutrient deficiencies,nor mortality.Conclusions The majority of patients were satisfied with the operation effect,still,there were substantial postoperative complications including gastric wall injury,gastric banding slippage.

A questionnaire was used to survey the perspective of the 22 mentors,24 students, 27 graduate students and 27 public health units on the competence of MPH student. The result showed that the practice skill,analyzing skill,program plan and practice skill,and emergency reaction abil-ity got more attention. This suggested that to the training of MPH,the training objective should focus on the ability to resolve problems; the curriculum should focus on the characters of public health and on the practice training.

Intravenous preparations take more risk than oral preparation and externally applied agent.In phaseⅠtoler- ance trial of intravenous preparations of TCM on human subjects,minimum dose and maximum dose should be decided in light of data derived from preclinical pharmacodynamic and toxicological experiments,combined with practical situation in clinic.Dose-ascending coefficient of the should be reasonable.During the application of intravenous preparations of TCM in tolerance trial,clinical monitoring must be done to ensure the safety of subjects.Overall and integrated observa- tional indices should be designed on the basis of the features of preparation types,administration methods,the nature of medicine,etc.,so as to provide full-scale data for safe dose range,concentration of the preparation,dripping veloci- ty and possible adverse reactions,etc.

OBJECTIVE:To promote effective development of services in the intravenous drugs allocation centre and to bring the pharmacists'function into full play in the hospital pharmacy.METHODS:Information concerning services in the intravenous drugs allocation centre of our hospital and experiences from which was introduced,some problems and difficulties in the pharmacy services were analyzed.RESULTS&CONCLUSION:The centralized allocation and management of intra-venous drugs have ensured the safety and effectiveness of the clinical intravenous drug use and which have become the essential part of the pharmaceutical care with a core of rational drug use.

The survey of the soluble IL-2 receptor (sIL-2R) level in the sera and the membrane IL-2 receptor (mIL-2R) expression on the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from 47 cases of late schistosomiasis japonica was reported. BACKGROUND:Currently, the study of total hip arthroplasty in elderly is more. Perioperative treatment and postoperative rehabilitation are increasingly perfect, but the study of middle-aged total hip arthroplasty is less, especialy long curative effect in postoperative and long-term folow-up stil has many problems to be solved. In China, there are few studies addressing how to select the prosthesis during total hip arthroplasty in middle-aged patients, which kind or material of prosthesis is better, so the evidence for clinical application is less. OBJECTIVE:To compare and analyze the repair effects of bone cement total hip arthroplasty and uncemented total hip arthroplasty in middle-aged patients. METHODS:A total of 60 middle-aged patients who received total hip arthroplasty in the Department of Orthopedics, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Chinese Medicine Hospital from January 2005 to January 2008 were folowed up for 5 years. Their mean age was (37±6) years. There were 32 cases undergoing uncemented total hip arthroplasty and 28 cases receiving bone cement total hip arthroplasty. At 6 months, 2 and 5 years after replacement, Harris score for recovery of limb function and imaging findings were compared and analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Harris score for recovery of limb function was significantly better in the uncemented total hip arthroplasty group than in the bone cement total hip arthroplasty group at 6 months, 2 and 5 years after replacement (P < 0.01). No complications were found at 6 months in the uncemented total hip arthroplasty group, but one case affected osteolysis at 2 years and two cases experienced prosthesis loosing at 5 years after arthroplasty. In the bone cement total hip arthroplasty group, two cases had osteolysis and one case had prosthesis loosing at 6 months after arthroplasty, three cases had prosthesis loosing at 2 years, and two cases affected linear permeability dissolvement at 5 years after arthroplasty. These findings suggest that uncemented prosthesis achieved a high rate of functional restoration and a low rate of complications in middle-aged patients. Uncemented total hip arthroplasty had satisfactory clinical and radiographic outcomes at a minimum of 5-year folow-up.

Objective To investigate the short-term outcome of laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB) for morbid obesity complicated with type 2 diabetes. Methods Eight morbidly obese patients with type 2 diabetes underwent LAGB from October 2006 to August 2007. The weight parameters, fasting (FBG) and 2-hour blood glucose (2hBG), medication for diabetes were assessed 1,3, 6 and 9 months after surgery. Results All of the patients lost weight, with a mean body mass index decreased from (38.7±7.5) kg/m2 before LAGB to (30.5±4.3) kg/m2 9 months after LAGB. The FBG and 2hBG were decreased significantly at month 6 and 9 after LAGB, with normal FBG and 2hBG in 4 patients. At month 9 after LAGB, 3 of 5 patients with insulin treatment before LAGB were changed to oral hypoglycemics, 1 was continuously administered with a reduced dose of insulin, and 4 patients stopped any medication. Conclusion LAGB is an effective procedure in the treatment of morbid obesity complicated with type 2 diabetes with a favorable short-term outcome.

Risk factors of hyperamylasemia in 152 diabetic ketoacidosis(DKA)patients who had no acute pancreatitis were examined.Serum levels of hemodiastase,natrium,kalium,chlorine,calcium,phosphonium,creatinine,carbon dioxide combining power,osmotic pressure,blood glucose,blood lipids and uric acid were measured.With hemodiastase and other 14 factors as independent variables,the multiple linear regression analysis was performed and the partial regression coefficient was estimated.Blood glucose,serum natrium,osmotic pressure and triglyceride entered the regression equation,and their partial coefficients were 10.26,10.35,2.21 and 8.00,respectively.The constant quantitv was -2162.06.Compared with amylase-normal group,hyperamylasemia group showed statistically significant difference in blood glucose,serum natrium,osmotic pressure and triglyceride levels.Higher blood glucose and triglyceride might be the primary causes of hyperamylasemia.

Objective To study the accuracy of preoperative planning and postoperative satisfaction of prosthesis posi?tion by applying the personal surgical cutting guide (PSCG) to total knee arthroscopy (TKA) based on 3D printing technique. Meth?ods In this randomized study, 20 patients were selected from August 2014 to October 2015, who were randomly divided into two groups. In PSCG group, 4 males and 6 females were enrolled, with a mean age of 70.9±6.69 (from 59 to 78) years. In con?ventional instrumentation group, 2 males and 8 females were enrolled, with a mean age of 69.9 ± 6.35 (from 58 to 77) years. The conventional instrumentation group was treated with conventional TKA, while the PSCG group was treated with personal surgical cutting guides. Then the knee valgus angle of patients, the angle between prosthesis components on the coronal and the sagittal plane of two groups were evaluated. Subsequently the correlation of the actual osteotomy amount, the valgus angle, caster angle, external rotation angle between intra? and preoperative planning were compared in the PSCG group. Results Compared with the ideal value of each angle, the mean deviation of the hip?knee?ankle angle 0.77°±0.51°, frontal femoral compo?nent angle 0.37° ± 0.53° and frontal tibial component angle 0.11° ± 0.24° showed statistically significant difference between two groups (P<0.05). The mean deviation of the lateral femoral component angle and the lateral tibial component angle (respectively 8.26°±0.85°, 0.71°±0.77°) were smaller than that of the conventional instrumentation group, while the differences all had no statis?tically significant difference (P>0.05). The actual osteotomy amount, the valgus angle, caster angle, external rotation angle corre?lated well between intra?and preoperative planning (t=-2.547, 3.864, 0.537,-0.040,-1.290, P>0.05). Conclusion TKA assist?ed by PSCG can make lower extremity alignment and accuracy of prosthesis implantation more accurate compared with convention?al TKA, especially in hip?knee?ankle angle, frontal femoral component angle and frontal tibial component angle.
