Objective To explore the role of choledochofiberscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of biliary complication after orthotopic liver transplantation. Methods The patients with continuous biliary infection and obstructive jaundice in 6 cases subject to orthotopic liver transplantation were treated by choledochofiberscopy through T tube sinus tract. The findings from choledochofiberscope at different periods after operation were recorded. Results Three to five months after operation, there were a lot of flocs in the bile duct cavity under the choledochofiberscopy, and mucous membrane of bile duct was pale or coarse. On the postoperative month 6, 11 and 18, choledochofiberscopy revealed there were funicular, columned and brown biliary stones in bile duct cavity which mostly located in porta hepatis, and there existed stenosis in anastomotic stoma of bile duct to varying degrees; the wall of bile duct was coarse, with congestion of the mucous membrane. The flocs and stones could be extracted conveniently by the choledochofiberscope. Conclusion We can observe the transplanted liver’s bile duct through the T tube sinus tract by the choledochofiberscopy and treat the biliary complications conveniently.

Animal models are highly valuable systems that have been extensively used to elucidate human disease pathogenesis and to find therapeutic ways to treat human diseases .Since non-human primates are close to humans, monkeys are important model species in exploring the mechanisms and treatment of human neurodegenerative diseases , neuropsychiatric disorders, cognitive function, and neural circuits. However, due to the lack of embryonic stem cell lines in large animals, the traditional gene targeting technology is difficult to establish primate animal models of human diseases . CRISPR/Cas9, as a recently developed tool for genome modifications , has been successfully used to target genomic loci in mouse, rat, monkey, and other species. Here, we discuss the utilization of CRISPR /Cas9 technology in establishing monkey models for studying human neurodegenerative diseases .

Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2001;0(01):-
Objective To summarize the onset and the management of serious responsiveness during the tilt table test (TTT), and the prevention measures. Methods Thirty six elderly patients (26 males and 10 females, aged between 60 70) were tested with a tilt angle of 70 degrees for a maximum of 45 minutes and then processed with isoproterenol provocative tilt testing. ECG and blood pressure were monitored during the test and the peripheral intravenous cannula were maintained for all patients with normal saline. Results Twenty one of the 36 patients were defined as positive including 10 showing serious responsiveness. Of the 10 patients, 3 had a history of atherosclerosis involving internal carotid arteries; among the 3 with bradycardia, 2 were associated with II? A V block, and another one was with chronic atrial fibrillation. The serious reponsiveness included asystole for more than 5 seconds(3 cases) , serious bradycardia for more than 1 minute(3 cases) , and serious hypotension for more than 1 minute (4 case), respectively. Those with serious responsiveness were managed with returning to supine position, or intraveneous atropine, or CPR (2 cases), or oxygen given(4 cases). Only 2 hypotensive patients recovered gradually in 10 minute emergent management while others recovered rapidly and with no complication. Conclusions TTT may result in serious responsiveness especially in elderly patients though it is non invasive method. Therefore, proper patient selection according to the indications, control of isoproterenal infusion and close observation of vital signs are important for a safe consequence.
