BACKGROUND: Pathogenesis and pathophysiological changes of chronic compressive cervical myelopathy havenotbeen completely clarified.OBJECTIVE: To establish an animal model of experimental chronic compressive cervical myelopathy for the exploration of the pathological and electrophysiological changes after chronic spinal compression.DESIGN: A randomized and controlled observatory study using experimental animals as subjects.SETTING: An Animal Experimental Center of a University and an Orthopaedic Laboratory of Affiliated Hospital of a Military Medical University MATERIALS: The study was conducted in the Animal Experimental Center of Nantong Medical University and the Orthopaedic Laboratory of Shanghai Changzheng Hospital from June 2002 to April 2003. Sixty 12-week healthy Chinese rabbits of either gender with a bodymass between 2.5 kg and 3.0 kg were randomly divided into control group( n = 6) and study group( n = 54).METHODS: Titanic metal screw was put into C5 vertebra through cervical anterior approach for progressive compression to establish chronic cervical myelopathy model.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Principal consequences: ①histological examination ;②electrophysiological examination. Secondary consequence:neural function evaluation.RESULTS: Totally 48 rabbits entered into result analysis, in which 6 rabbits from control group and 42 rabbits from study group. Modified Tarlov's motor function evaluation was 3 in 31 rabbits with compression signs, and 4 in 11rabbits without compression signs. The latency of N1 wave in cortical somatosensory evoked potentials (CSEP) was (9.11 ± 1.61 ), ( 11.36 ± 2.17)and (17.55 ± 3.73) ms respectively in animals of control group, animals of study group without compression signs and animals of study group with compression signs. The lantency of CSEP N1 wave was significantly longer in animals of study group with compression signs than that of the animals in the control group and study group without compression signs (P<0.05).CONCLUSION: This animal model can simulate clinical invasion process of chronic compressive cervical myelopathy. The severer the spinal compression is, the more often the compression signs appear, the longer the lantency of CSEP N1 wave is, and the more serious the spinal pathological damages are.

Objective To study the ralationship of arrhythmias and heart electrical parameters changes after transcatheter closure of ventricular septal defect (VSD) .Method 50 patients had been successfully finnished the transcatheter closure of ventricular septal defect, and then we observed ralationship of arrhythmias and heart electrical parameters changes. Results (1) Compared with the situation of VSD occluder preoperative and postoperative, during follow-up there were 20 arrhythmia cases, including bundle branch block 16 cases, including the complete left bundle branch block 2 cases, complete right bundle branch block 4 cases,a transient third-degree trioventricular conduction block 1 case, most return to normal in the follow-up. 2 Intracavitary electrogram showed before and after transcatheter closure:A-V conduction parameters A-H,H-V value of (75.10 ± 14.34) ms vs (80.67±23.03) ms and (47.9±12.61) ms vs (50.07±15.23) ms,the difference was not statistically significant ( >0.05) . Conclusions (1) Some patients with new ECG changes after transcatheter closure of VSD, manifested as an increase in bundle branch block in a week, but most return to normal, the prognosis is good. (2) Intraoperative A-H,H-V extension is not related with with postoperative slow arrhythmia;(3) Arrhythmia is a common complication after VSD transcatheler closure, to strictly selecte indications, and to avoid too large diameter are the effective measures to reduce the arrhythmias after transcatheter closure of ventricular septal defect (VSD) .

Objective To identify hepatitis B virus X-interactive proteins by comparative proteomics method and to understand the molecular mechanism of HBx in the development of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis(2-DE)was used to separate the total proteins of HBx-transfected human hepatoma cell lines HepG2-Px and its parental cell lines HepG2-P_0.PDQuest software was applied to analyze 2 DE images. The differentially expressed protein spots between the two cell lines were identified by matrix-assisted laser desorptionionization time of flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF-MS)and electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry(ESI-Q-TOF).Then,the differential expression levels of some identified proteins were determined by Western blot. The data were compared using t test. Results The well-resolved,reproducible 2-DE patterns of HepG2-Px and HepG2-P_0 total proteins were established.A total of 32 differential proteins were identified in HepG2-Px cell, including 25 up-regulated proteins, such as heat shock protein(HSP)90AB1,Bcl-2 associated athanogene(BAG)-2,nucleophosmin(B23),chloride intracellular channel(CLIC)-1,matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-3,melanoma antigen(MAGE)-12,and 7 down-regulated proteins, such as Wnt-5a.The differential expression levels of some proteins between the two cell lines were confirmed by Western blot analysis. Conclusions Most of the identified proteins are involved in many processes, such as transcription, signal transduction, cell proliferation, cell cycle regulator, apoptosis,DNA repair, metabolisms and immunity. These differential proteins may play a role in tumor genesis and HC development. The data are valuable for further study on the role of HBx in human hepatocellular carcinoma.

Objective:By analyzed the transmission patterns of 4 out of the 51 COVID-19 cluster cases in Shaanxi province to provide evidences for the COVID-19 control and prevention. Methods:The epidemiological data of RT-PCR test-confirmed COVID-19 cases were collected. Transmission chain was drawn and the transmission process was analyzed. Results:Cluster case 1 contained 13 cases and was caused by a family of 5 who traveled by car to Wuhan and returned to Shaanxi. Cluster case 2 had 5cases and caused by initial patient who participated family get-together right after back from Wuhan while under incubation period. Cluster case 3 contained 10 cases and could be defined as nosocomial infection. Cluster case 4 contained 4 cases and occurred in work place. Conclusion:Higher contact frequency and smaller places were more likely to cause a small-scale COVID-19 cluster outbreak, with potential longer incubation period. COVID-19 control strategies should turn the attention to infection prevention and control in crowded places, management of enterprise resumption and prevention of nosocomial infection.

Objective:To understand the incidence trend and epidemiological characteristics of COVID-19 in Shaanxi province. Methods:The incidence data of COVID-19 reported in Shaanxi as of 22 February, 2020 were collected for an epidemiological descriptive analysis. Results:A total of 245 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Shaanxi. Most cases were mild (87.76%). As time passed, the areas where confirmed cases were reported continued to increase. The case number in Xi’an was highest, accounting for nearly half of the total reported cases in the province. The epidemic pattern in Shaanxi had gradually shifted from imported case pattern to local case pattern, and the transmission of local cases was mainly based on family cluster transmission. The confirmed cases from different sources had caused the secondary transmission in Shaanxi. After February 7, the number of reported cases began to fluctuate and decrease stably, indicating a decrease-to-zero period. Conclusions:At present, the overall epidemic of COVID-19 in Shaanxi has gradually been mitigated. However, considering the approaching of return to work and study and the increasing of imported cases from other countries, the prevention and control of COVIS-19 in Shaanxi will face new challenges.
