Objective To investigate the knowledge degree of the risk of intrauterine adhesions in patients with induced abortion.Methods A total of 360 patients,who accepted induced abortion in gynecological clinic from June to November 2015,were evaluated using self-edited Assessment on Doctor-patient Communication in Gynecological Outpatient Clinic.Results 83.9％ patients could provide previous pregnancy and fertility history,24.2％patients could repeat clearly therapeutic advice and attentions after induced abortion,13.1 ％ patients understood the risk of uterine adhesion,9.7 ％ patients understood the influnce of uterine adhesion on fertility and 31.9 ％ patients wished to prevent uterine adhesion with drugs,patients with spontaneous abortion and multiple abortion history understood the risk with 67.6％ and 31.5％ respectively,overall 61.9％ patients felt the pressure and wished to get more attetions.Conclusion We need to strengthen the risk informing of intrauterine adhesions after induced abortion.

BACKGROUND:Closed reduction and interlocking intramedullary nailing can protect blood supply of fractured bone,decrease infection and promote bone healing.which is becoming the first choice for treating femoral shaft fracture However,it is difficult to conduct in closed reduction and keep stabilization of fractured bone.OBJECTIVE:To explore the curative effect of closed reduction and interlocking intramedullary nailing in treating femoral shaft fracture with assist of rubber tourniquet 360°elastic fixation METHODS:From May 2008 to November 2009,18 patients(14 males,4 females;aged 18-65 years)with closed femoral shaft fracture were treated at the Dongguan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Body skin was protected by cloth,elastic rubber tourniquet was doubled and 360°wrapped around the fractured bone with the length of 10 cm from up and down.Supracondylar femur was reamed by Kernig-needle;fractured bone was dealt with countertraction and horizontal rotation.Another assistant compressed the fractured bone according to the displacement of fracture,which contributes to bone fracture reduetion and interlocking intramedullary nailing.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:All 18 patients were followed up postoperatively,no case was found with skim necrosis and damage of nerve and blood vessel.16 cases were bone union with excellent 15 cases,fine 1 case;2 cases were still being followed up.Callus was firstly found 1 month after operation and was obviously found in 3e months postoperatively The result suggested that the treatment of closed reduction and interlocking intramedullary nailing with assist of rubber tourniquet360°elastic fixation is a simple and applicable approach.which reduces the interruption of blood supply for fractured bone and closed reduction gets good result,which reduces the chance of open reduction.

BACKGROUND: Primate is the best animal to establish a model of spinal implants. However, ethics and cost limit its application. Mixed-breed dogs have similar anatomic structures as human. Moreover, it is easy to obtain with low cost, so it may replace primate to serve as models.OBJECTIVE: To determine the feasibility of canine lumbar spine to establish the anterior interfixation model following measurements of related anatomic data.METHODS: A total of 9 adult healthy dogs were selected. The transversal diameter, sagittal diameter and height of vertebral body and disc were measured, and the artificial vertebral body replacement was performed. Bone graft fusion was observed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The transversal diameter, sagittal diameter and height of vertebral body and disc increasedgradually from L_(1) to L_(7), and the height was greatly exceeded its sagittal diameter. All dogs survived, but one was paraplegia. Allthe others stood and acted in 12 h to 72 h after operation. The fusion effect was proved to be good by imageology and histology. The establishment of models was simple and cost-effective, and the biocompatibility of bone tissues and implants, as well as thebone tissue ingrowth can be observed. The lumbar spine of dog can be used as an anterior interfixation model in vitro test.

BACKGROUND:Poly-D,L-lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) that was characterized as absorbable,weak cytotoxicity,and adjustable hardness was ideal to be synthetized artificial spinal dura mater.Because of lacking of functional group at the surface of PLGA,it should be modified to fit the demand of satisfied biocompatibility.OBJECTIVE:To study the biocompatibility of PLGA membrane modified by type-Ⅰ collagen and chitosan.DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:Contrast observation study,which was carded out in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Laboratory Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May to December 2007.MATERIALS:Porous PLGA membrane was provided by Jinan Banzheng Biology-Technology Co.,Ltd.,type-Ⅰ collagen by Sigma Company,USA,chitosan by Shanghai Qisheng Biological Agent Medical Apparatus and Instrument Company,and L929 L cell by Cellular Institute of Shanghai Academy of Life Science,Chinese Academy of Science.METHODS:PLGA membrane (P membrane),PLGA/type-Ⅰ collagen composite membrane (PG membrane),PLGA/type-Ⅰ collagen/chitosan (9:1) composite membrane (PGC 9:1 membrane) and PLGA/type-Ⅰ collagen/chitosan (5:5) composite membrane (PGC 5:5 membrane) were produced through a certain process.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Contact angle,absorption rate and cytotoxicity were tested.Morphological changes of L929 L cell cultured for 1,3,and 7 days were observed under fiberscope.RESULTS:Contact angle was shown as PG membrane＜PGC 9:1 membrane＜PGC 5:5 membrane＜P membrane (P＜0.01 );absorption rate was shown as P membrane＜PGC 5:5 membrane＜PGC 9:1 membrane＜PG membrane (P＜0.01).L929 L cell was characterized as well distribution,expansion and appearance after inoculation of PG membrane,PGC 9:1 membrane and PGC 5:5 membrane.Cytotoxic experiment (MTT methods) showed that,on the 1st day,there was no significant difference in absorbency among groups (P＞0.05).On the 3rd and 7th days,there were significant differences between P membrane and PG membrane or PGC 9:1 membrane,and between PGC 9:1 membrane and PCK2 5:5 membrane (P＜0.05).PGC 9:1 membrane could further improve cell adhesion and proliferation,and PGC 5:5 membrane could inhibit cell proliferation and differentiation.CONCLUSION:Type-Ⅰ collagen and chitosan appended to the exterior of PLGA can enhance the biocompatibility of membrane.In terms of biocompatibility,PLGA/type-Ⅰ collagen/chitosan (9:1) composite membrane can be fit to the qualification as a type of material of artificial spinal dura mater.

Objective To evaluate the value of the fusion of 99m Tc-MIBI imaging technology apply in the diagnosis of malignant lung tumor. Methods Thirty - four cases with lung nodules proved by X-ray and/or CT scanning, a total of 48 lung nodular lesions. And the imaging with-99m Tc-MIBI of chest performed at 10 minutes and 2 hours delayed after injection by GE Infinia Hawkeye 4 SPECT-CT. then the regions of interesting ( ROI) were drawn in the tumor and contra lateral position to calculate the radioactivity ratios of tumor to normal ( T/NT) , and fused with the spiral CT scanning image in the same machine, and reading the early and delayed image respectively. Judged the result of the image develops, and statistical analysis of the ratio (T/NT) according to the final pathologic consequence. Results All cases with total of 48 nodular lesions, 21 nodules were positive in early imaging, 16 nodules were positive in delayed imaging (the ratio T/NT over 3. 33). defined the delayed image positive as the final criterion, The(T/NT)ratios of Malignant lung lesions were significantly higher than the benign lesions ( P ＜0. 05). Negative nodes 27, 13 cases of lung cancer lesions were malignant, confirmed by postoperative pathologic examination. The falsepositive nodules 3, false-negative nodules 2. The sensitivity was: 88.88%, the specificity was: 90.9% positive predictive value ( +PV) was: 84. 21% , negative predictive value (-PV) is: 93.75%. Conclusion 99mTc-MIBI as a tumor positive imaging agent is highly sensitivity to lung lesions, but specificity is not so high.

Objective To study the relationship between morning blood pressure surge with carotid artery intima-media thickness in good controlled elderly hypertensive patients.Methods A total of 151well controlled elderly hypertensive patients was selected in this study.Through the ABPM examination,the morning blood pressure peak was calculated,and then these patients were divided into two groups according to the morning blood pressure peak.The patients whose morning blood pressure peak ≤30 mmHg were divided into non-morning blood pressure surge group (NMS group),and the patients whose morning blood pressure peak ＞ 30 mmHg were divided into morning blood pressure surge group (MS group).The carotid IMT of these patients was measured with ultrasonic detection.The hypertension-related factors with blood pressure and morning peak phenomenon and the impact of IMT were analyzed,and the relationship between the morning blood pressure peak and IMT was analyzed with linear regression analysis.Results Two groups of 151 cases were well-controlled hypertension,76 patients with morning blood pressure showed peak phenomenon,accounting for 50.3％.Age,gender,body mass index,blood lipids,blood glucose,the maximum systolic blood pressure,average systolic blood pressure,minimum systolic blood pressure,maximum diastolic blood pressure,average diastolic blood pressure and minimum diastolic blood pressure had no difference between the two groups ( P ＞ 0.05 ).However,the morning blood pressure peak in patients with MS group [ (42.34 ± 7.10)mmHg] and IMT [ (0.89 ± 0.13 )mm] was higher than the NMS group [ (21.16 ±5.23) mmHg,(0.84 ±0.14) mm,P ＜0.01 orP ＜0.05],and carotid IMT and peak morning blood pressure was positively correlated ( r =0.56,P ＜0.01 ).Conclusions Good controlled elderly hypertensive patients remained the phenomenon of the morning blood pressure surge,the morning blood pressure peak might lead to carotid atherosclerosis.

BACKGROUND:The self-locking ROI-CTM interbody fusion has zero profile design which can significantly reduce the impact on the esophagus and pharynx, and also simplify the operation procedure. However, there is no report whether it has satisfactory outcomes in the treatment of Hangman fractures.
OBJECTIVE: To compare the clinical effects of ROI-CTM or titanium plate internal fixation on postoperative cervical stability and fusion rate in the treatment of Hangman fractures.
METHODS:Twenty-one cases of Hangman fractures were included, including 13 males and 8 females, aged 25-62 years old. Fifteen cases were treated with titanium plate internal fixation, and the other five cases were treated with ROI-CTM fusion device. Cervical anteroposterior and lateral radiographs, lateral flexion extension radiographs and CT scanning were carried out before, 3 days and 3 months after repair to assess angular displacement, horizontal displacement and fusion rate; visual analog scale score and Bazaz dysphagia score were determined.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:At 3 days after operation, the ROI-CTM group was significantly better than the titanium plate group in visual analog scale scores and Bazaz dysphagia grade (P < 0.05), and there were no significant differences in angular displacement and horizontal displacement (P > 0.05). However, at 3 months after operation, there was no significant difference between the two groups in visual analog scale score, Bazaz dysphagia grade, angular displacement and horizontal displacement and fusion rate (P > 0.05). Postoperative complete reduction rate of spondylolisthesis was higher in the ROI-CTM group than the titanium plate group (P < 0.05). In each group, the angular displacement and horizontal displacement were significantly reduced at 3 day and 3 months after operation (P < 0.05), but there was no significant difference at 3 days and 3 months after operation (P > 0.05). No rejection reaction, internal fixation fracture and loosening occurred in the two groups. These findings indicate that the self-locking ROI-CTM fusion for treatment of Hangman fractures are characterized as higher reduction rate of spondylolisthesis, less dysphagia, and less neck pain.
