1.Determination of Phenylenediamine in Oxidative-type Hair Dyes by Capillary Column Gas Chromatography

Objective To establish a method for determination of p-phenylenediamine,m-phenylenediamine,o-phenylenediamine in oxidative-type hair dyes.Methods The samples of oxidatve-type hair dyes were solved by ethyl acetate,then followed by centrifuged,extracted.The extraction was qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed by gas chromatography,the working condition was optimized also.Results The linear range for p-phenylenediamine,m-phenylenediamine,o-phenylenediamine was 25-400 ?g/ml,r=0.999 1-0.999 9,the detection limits were 3.1,3.6,3.4 ?g/ml respectively,the standard recovery rates were 86.8%-104.3%,RSDs were 2.3%-4.5%(n=3).Conclusion This method was simple and rapid,it can be effectively applied in extraction and separation of phenylenediamine in oxidative-type hair dyes.

3.Research progress in co-delivery of gene and chemotherapy drugs with nanocarriers for cancer therapy.

Current trends in nanotechnology and RNA interference technology have made the application of nanocarriers (NCS) as a novel gene and drug delivery systems very promising for the field of multidrug resistance (MDR) cancer treatment. Co-delivery of gene and chemotherapy drugs with NCS has a good synergistic effect compared with the traditional chemotherapy which can increase the amount of the drug distribution in target organ in order to reduce the toxic side effects thereby enhancing efficacy. Therefore, the advent of co-delivery systems with NCS especially in the clinical treatment of MDR has had a significant impact on the cancer treatment.
4.Clinical analysis of 15 cases of acute pancreatitis in systemic lupus erythematosus.

Objective To investigate the clinical features,causes,pathogenesis and treatment of acute pancreatitis in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).Methods From January 1983 to March 2003,15 SLE patients with acute pancreatitis were retrospectively analyzed.Results There were 12 patients with mild acute pancreatitis and 3 patients with severe acute pancreatitis.All patients received the treatment of moderate to large dosage of corticosteroids.Five patients recovered.Five patients improved.Five patients died.Conclusion (1)Acute pancreatitis occurs in the active stage of SLE.(2)The pancreatic vascular lesion is the main pathogenic mechanism in SLE acute pancreatitis.(3)The corticosteroids may not be the cause of SLE pancreastitis.(4)The treatment with moderate to high doses of corticosteroids is safe and effective.
5.Effects of RNA interference targeting HIF-1α on location and metastasis in HeLa cells

Objective To construct an eukaryotic vector expressing short hairpin RNA(shRNA) of HIF-1α,and to observe its effects on location and metastasis of HeLa cells under hypoxic condition.Methods shRNA templates was developed based on HIF-1α gene sequence and then cloned into pSilencer2.1-U6-neo vector.The resultant plasmid was transfected into HeLa cells with Lipofectamine 2000.The cells were incubated in hypoxic condition.The HIF-1α protein and mRNA were detected by Western blot and RT-PCR.The colony formation assay and Transwell cabin assay were performed to measure the colony formation and metastasis.Results The plasmid pSilencer2.1-U6-neo-HIF-1α was successfully constructed and transfected into HeLa cells.The expression of HIF-1α in HeLa cells decreased,and the number of colony formation in soft agar and cells penetrating matrigel also decreased under hypoxic condition.Conclusion The shRNA expressing plasmid targeting at HIF-1α may suppress the location and metastasis of cervical carcinoma cells under hypoxic condition.
6.High-dose epirubicin combination therapy in the treatment of 48 cases with advanced chest malignant tumors

Purpose:To estimate the curative effects and side effects obtained from high-dose epirubicin (EPI) combination therapy in the treatment of advanced chest malignant tumors. Methods:Forty-eight cases with advanced chest malignant tumor(32 cases with non-small-cell lung cancer; eleven cases with breast cancer and five cases with mediastinal malignant lymphomas) were treated with the combination therapy of high-dose EPI. Results:The response rate in non-small-cell lung cancer was 56.3%, in breast cancer was 72.7%, in mediastinal malignant lymphomas was 100%. The most frequent toxicities were neutropenia.Conclusions:The combined chemotherapy of high-does EPI is an effective and safe treatment in advanced chest malignant tumor.
7.Determination of 7 Preservatives in Cosmetics in One Time by Gas Chromatography

Objective To establish a method for determination of 7 preservatives, benzyl alechol, sorbic acid, benzoic acid, methyl-paraben, ethyl-paraben, propyl-paraben, butyl-paraben, in cosmetics in one time by gas chromatography. Methods The cosmetic sample was dissolved by methanol, extracted by ultrasonic and separated by packed column of DB1, the optimized experimental condition was explored also. Results The concentrations of 7 preservatives showed a positive correlation with the peak heights at the following ranges, 100-500 ?g/ml for benzyl alechol, 200-600 ?g/ml for sorbic acid, 25-500 ?g/ml for benzoic acid, methyl-paraben, ethyl-paraben, propyl-paraben and butyl-paraben, the correlative coefficients were 0.998 3-0.999 9. The detection limits were 5.5, 57.1, 29.6, 6.2, 5.5, 6.2, 6.2 ng/ml respectively. The recovery rates were 91.6%-102.7%. RSDs were 2.2%-10.2%. Conclusion The present method can perfectly separate the seven preservatives in cosmetics mentioned above with some advantages, such as simple, accurate, sensitive and quick.

9.Children with Functional Abdominal Pain Treated with Shaoyao Gancao Decoction

Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Shaoyao Gancao Decoction on treating children functional abdominal pain to offer reference for further observation. [Method] Choose 200 children patients in pediatric outpatient department of Changxing County TCM Hospital, randomly divide them into treatment and control groups in order, n=100. The treatment one was administered revised Shaoyao Gancao Decoction, the control one orally took Medilac-Vita; both for 4 courses, then observe the cure effects. [Result] In treatment group, total effective rate 94.00%; for control one, it was 86.00%. The comparison of both had difference of statistical meaning( P<0.05). On comparing their abdominal pain relieve, in treatment group, there's more in first 2w and showed marked summit value in the first week; while in control one, there's no marked summit value; so the treatment group was more obvious than other one on relieving pain in the first 2w(P<0.05). The side effect occurrence rate of treatment group was less than other one, the difference between them had statistical meaning(P<0.05). [Conclusion] The revised Saoyao Gancao Decoction has marked cure effect on children functional abdominal pain, worth clinical promotion.
10.Anti-inflammatory Effect of Compound Cornu Cervi Degelatinatum on Collagen-induced Arthritis Model of Mice

Objective To investigate the effects of compound cornu cervi degelatinatum on the expression of related inflammatory cytokines and pathological changes of the synovium in mice with collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). MethodsThe CIA model of Balb/c mice was established. The mice were randomly divided into 5 groups: blank control group, model control group, low-dose group ( C1 ) , high-dose group ( C2 ) and glucosidorum tripterygll totorum group D. After the first immunization in mice, we observed the general condition and lesions of the fore and hind jaws. After the second immunization, the mice in groups C1 and C2 were orally administered with compound cornu cervi degelatinatum at the doses of 2. 5 and 5 g·kg-1 body weight per day for 4 weeks, and meanwhile those in group D were administrated with glucosidorum tripterygll totorum at the dose of 13. 6 mg·kg-1 body weight per day. The serum of the mice was collected to detect the levels of TNF-αand IL-4 by ELISA. Ankle joints were harvested, and the pathological changes of synovial tissues were observed under light microscope. Results As compared with the model control group, the level of TNF-αin the treatment groups was significantly decreased, while the level of IL-4 was elevated in group C1. Histological pathology of ankle joints demonstrated that the synovium of the CIA mice were hyperplastic and the synovial tissues were markedly ameliorated in treatment groups. Conclusion The compound cornu cervi degelatinatum can relieve redness and swelling in mice with CIA. The mechanism may be related to the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF-α and regulation of anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-4.
