1.An Experimental Study on the Dynamic Expression of Oct-4B in Rats with Pulpitis by Immunohistochemistry
Journal of Kunming Medical University 2013;(10):10-13,21
Objective To establish a model of rat endotoxic pulpitis induced by Lipopolysaccharide (LPS);to study the dynamic expression and location of Oct-4B in rat pulpitis model at different time;To evaluate the role of Oct-4B on pulp injury and reparation in rat endotoxic pulpitis. Method The slides were made and the dynamic expression and location of Oct-4B was examined by immunohistochemistry. Results Oct-4B was moderately positive in the pulp fibroblasts and odontoblasts in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, it was still positive in odontoblasts and fibroblasts. Up to 3 weeks, it was weakly positive in odontoblasts and fibroblasts. Conclusion Oct-4B is dynamically expressed in the rats with pulpitis, and may play an important role in the incidence, development and recovery of pulpitis.

OBJECTIVE To study the disposition, hospital divisions and risk factors that induce nosocomial infections, and approach utility measure for prevention.METHODS To investigate and analyze the nosocomial infections in the patients who hospitalized from 2004 to 2006,through the way combined with retrospective investigation and the cases report by doctors.RESULTS In our hospital, the nosocomial lower respiratory tract infection was the highest(33.7%).The second was the upper respiratory tract infection(23.0%),and the gastrointestinal tract infection(18.7%).The incidence of nosocomial infection in medical and paediatrics department was higher than other departments, the main infection site in internal medicine department was lower respiratory tract(49.1%),but in pediatrics it was skin soft tissue infection(41.6%).There was significance difference of risk factors in nosocomial infection.CONCLUSIONS To grasp the causes of nosocomial infection, emphasize the monitoring for the high risk factors in departments, strengthen the prevention for nosocomal infection among the staff, standardize the various kinds of nursing operation and reasonably apply antibiotics, all are the effective measures for the prevention of nosocomial infection.

Many patients suffering from insomnia, especially chronic insomnia are treated by hypnotics. While taking hypnotics for long time will lead to drug dependence. How to fulfill gradual reduction of hypnotics has become one of the big problems doctor meet clinically.Drug dependence can be classified into two aspects. One is psychological, the other is pathological.Psychological treatment has advantage in the procedure of reducing drug.Thought imprint psychotherapy under lower resistance (TIP) which combines traditional Qigong, relaxation and cognitive-behavioral therapy of modern clinical psychology is a psychotherapy fit for Chinese.TIP techniques used during reduction procedure of hypnotics have been improved.

Objective To introduce personality-reshaping technique in the static state of Qigong to enrich modern clinic psychotherapy. Methods Based on previous therapeutic experience, we introduce personality-reshaping technique in the static state of Qigong. Results Personality-reshaping technique in the static state of Qigong can change personality of patients through series of techniques. Conclusion Personality-reshaping technique in the static state of Qigong has great clinical values.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of sleep-regulating technique of low resistance thought imprint psychotherapy (TIP3-2) for insomnia. Methods A total of 120 patients with insomnia were enrolled and randomly allocated to either a treatment group (60 patients) or a control group (30 patients). The patients in the treatment group and the control group were treated by TIP3-2 and zopiclone for 4 weeks, respectively. The therapeutic effect was evaluated using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), polysomnography and the self-made sleep confidence scale. Results A total of 79 patients in the treatment group and 28 patients in the control group completed treatment. PSQI scores showed that overall sleep quality (1.3 ± 0.65 vs. 1.8 ± 0.50;t=6.378, P=0.000), daytime function (1.5 ± 0.89 vs. 2.1 ± 0.66;t=13.624, P=0.000) and total score (9.6 ± 3.35 vs. 12.4 ± 2.83;t=22.124, P=0.000) in the treatment group were significantly improved compared with the control group. Polysomnography showed significant difference between two groups in the times of awakening (3.4 ± 2.49 vs. 4.2 ± 4.02;t=4.196, P=0.043), and the percentages of sleep stages 1 and 2 (stage 1:35.0%± 19.42%vs. 43.0%± 23.31%, t=4.593, P=0.034;stage 2:40.3%± 16.47%vs. 34.9%± 16.57%, t=4.255, P=0.042). The total score of the sleep confidence scale in the treatment group showed a significantly improvement compared with the control group (8.6 ± 5.85 vs. 12.8 ± 3.84, t=11.346, P=0.001). Conclusion TIP3-2 can improve sleep confidence, have certain efficacy for insomnia, and may be superior to zopiclone.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of sleep regulation technique of thought imprint psychotherapy in lower resistant state (TIP) for the treatment of primary insomnia. Methods 45 hospitalized outpatients with primary insomnia from sleep medical clinic of Guang'anmen Hospital were randomized at a 2 ∶ 1 ratio into a therapy group and a control group using random table. In the therapy group, patients received sleep regudation technique of TIP twice per week.In the control group, patients were asked to take zopiclone 3.75mg per night 30 minutes before bedtime. And the maximum dose can be 7.5mg according to their condition. The treatment lasted one month.Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) was used to assess sleep quality. Results ① After 4 weeks treatment, the clinical efficacy showed significant difference between the two groups (therapy group was 80%,control group was 33.3%).② Inner group comparison:therapy group was significantly improved in PSQI sleep quality (1.20 ± 0.71),sleep latency(1.53 ±1.01),sleep time(1.23 ±0.82),sleep efficiency(0.90±1.21),sleep disorders (1.30±0.65),sleep medication(0.13±1.36),daytime function (1.67±0.99),total score(8.30±3.19),(P<0.05); the control group was significantly improved in the PSQI sleep quality(1.60±0.91),sleep latency(1.87±0.64),(P<0.05).③ Inter group comparison:after treatment, compared to the control group, the therapy group was superior in the sleep latency, sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep medication, daytime function, and total score ofPSQI (P<0.05).Conclusion Sleep regulation techmique of thought imprint psychotherapy in lower resistant state can improve sleep quality of primary insomniacs.

Objective: To investigate the direct protective effect of SiniTang (SNT) on cultured myocardial cells of neonatal rats injuried by hypoxia and reoxygenation. Methods: The contracting frequency and content of primary-cultured myocardial cells sampled from different groups (control, oxygen and glucose deprivation model, and theated groups with 8. 0, 17. 9, 40, 89. 4, 200?g/mL SNT) were determined by TV recording system and computer image analysis system at different time (hypoxia for 30min, 60min, 90min, 120min, 150min, 180min and reoxygenation for 30min, 60min). The LDH activity in culture media was measured colorimetrically. The quantity of surviving myocardial cells was measured with MTT reduction method. Results: The contraction frequency and range of cultured myocardial cells decreased during hypoxia, the myocardial cells'pulsation of the groups treated with SNT was kept longer than the oxygen and glucose deprivation model, and the myocardial cells treated with SNT of 200?g/mL pulsed again after reoxygenation. After hypoxia for 3 hours, the LDH release of oxygen and glucose deprivation model was significant higher than that of the control ( P
