In the development pathology physiology experiment teaching,we used the interactive teaching method to train the students’ability to solve problems and fully arouse their enthusiasm,and got good results in the pathophysiology experiment.

From September of 2006,Department of Pathophysiology opened laboratory to the undergraduates of 2004 grade.Stu- dents chose titles and designed experiments by themselves,and after expert teachers' assessment,they put them into practice. Functional Laboratory of the college is in charge of the oprtation and administration of it.Through this semester's practice and exploration,we got satisfactory effect and great welcome from students.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of chitosan in the repair of clinical surgery wounds.Methods The databases of Cochrane Controlled Trials Register (CCTR),Embase database,Medline database,PubMed database,CNKI database,WanFang database,VIP database and Chinese Biomedical Journal Library (CMCC) were retrieved with computer for collecting randomized controlled trials (RCT) about the repair clinical surgery wounds healing.Meta-analysis on all the data are carried out by RevMan 5.0 software.Results There were totally 16 trials and 3414 patients included.The results showed that the wound healing time ofchitosan was significantly shorter than that of the control group [WMD =-0.64,95％CI (-0.69～-0.59),P ＜ 0.000 01],and chitosan can better promote wound healing [RR =1.03,95％CI (1.01～1.04),P =0.0002].In experimental group,postoperativepain were reliever [WMD =-3.49,95％CI (-5.07～-1.91),P ＜ 0.0001],and postoperative infection were reduced [RR =0.49,95％CI (0.33～0.71),P =0.0002].Conclusion The existing evidences indicate that chitosan can shorten postoperative wound healing time,promote wound healing,relieve pain,and reduce infection.However,the study is limited by the quality of included literature,more clinical trials should be done to confirm the effective and safety.

Objective To investigate the relationship between personality and social network profile-based information.Methods 438 college students were recruited,and Big five inventory NEO-FFI was applied to all subjects.The participants' Renren web profile information were recorded.Results ①Individuals with higher score of Extraversion had more friends (2.47 ± 0.29,2.34 ± 0.27,F =17.861,P =0.000),shared more (2.51 ± 0.56,2.32 ± 0.57,F =8.617,P =0.004),pasted more photographs (2.30 ± 0.51,2.14 ± 0.56,F =5.523,P =0.02).② There was a U shape correlation (t =2.258,P =0.024,t =2.115,P =0.035) between levels of neuroticism and numbers of blogs (0.66 ± 0.71) and photographs (1.92 ± 0.83).③There was no difference on numbers of friends (2.38 ± 0.31,2.39 ± 0.27,F =0.149,P =0.700) and e-gifts received (1.30 ± 0.52,1.26 ± 0.45,F =0.257,P=0.613) between participants of high and low levels of agreeableness.④ Individuals with higher scores in openness shared more with others(2.46 ± 0.57,2.29 ± 0.58,F =5.248,P =0.023).⑤ Individuals being more conscientious had more blogs(1.08 ±0.49,0.96 ±0.48,F=3.064,P=0.082).Conclusion There are significant differences about profile-based information among college students with different personality.

Objective To investigate the relationship between social network behaviors and personality.Methods Both questionnaires including self-reported Renren questionnaire and the simplified Chinese version of NEO five-factor inventory (NEO-FFI) were completed in university students (n =509).Results (1) Individuals with higher score of Extraversion used Renren applications more frequently,such as using Wall (2.26 ± 0.51,2.10±0.40,t=3.163,P=0.002),Status Update (2.58 ±0.71,2.33 ±0.62,t =3.268,P=0.001),Image (2.05±0.88,1.81 ±0.72,t=2.628,P=0.009),and Photo (2.17 ±0.49,1.96 ±0.33,t=4.409,P＜0.01).(2)Individuals with higher score of Openness of Experience were more likely to use Gift (2.01 ± 0.49,1.83 ± 0.59,t =2.870,P =0.005).(3) Individuals who were willing to use Blacklist (41.93 ± 4.41,43.07 ± 4.72,t =2.207,P =0.028) and who were willing to send private messages (42.23 ± 4.79,43.27 ± 4.55,t =2.476,P =0.014) have higher score of Agreeableness.(4) Individuals who checked messages more often had higher score of Conscientiousness (41.59 ± 6.33,40.72 ± 5.67,37.56 ± 8.33,F =7.170,P =0.001).(5) Individuals with higher score of Neuroticism were more likely to be dependent to Renren (2.91 ± 1.01,2.48 ± 1.02,t =3.815,P ＜0.01).Individuals who were more likely to express their emotions on SNS had higher score of Neuroticism (33.10 ± 6.78,32.19 ± 6.16,31.36 ± 5.77,F=3.594,P =0.010).Conclusion The data suggest that the usage of social networking sites are related to personality factors.Personality can be used to predict university students' social networking behaviors.

ObjectiveTo study the method,indications, advantage and shortcoming of laparoscopic repair of inguinal hernia. MethodsFrom Jun. 1995 to Jun. 2000,50 patients with inguinal hernia were treated with laparoscopy. There were 34 indirect inguinal hernia, 9 direct inguinal hernia and 7 concealed hernia. The transabdominal preperitoneal laparoscopic mesh repair of hernia(TAPP) was performed in 34 patients. Closure of the internal orifice of hernia was performed in 7 patients. Totally extraperitoneal repair was performed in 9 patients. ResultsAll cases were operated successfully. The mean operation time was 59.3(15～180) mins. The average length of postoperative stay was 5.4(3～7)days. There were no death record and no conversion operation. There was one early failure owing to the use of too small a piece of mesh. There has been no long-term recurrence. ConclusionThe results indicate that mesh repair of hernias is a satisfactory technique with a low recurrence rate and a low major complication rate.

Objective To test the scientificity, practicability, feasibility, intelligibility, and acceptability of the Primary-Level Personnel Guiding Handbook for Schistosomiasis Control(probationary edition). Methods Twenty-seven county and village doctors were selected randomly from two schistosomiasis transmission uncontrolled counties in Jiangxi Province as pretest objects. The pretest was carried out with the focus group discussion. Results The proportions of pretest objects who considered handbook had scientificity, practicability, feasibility, intelligibility and acceptability were 59.26%, 85.19%,55.56%,51.85% and 92.59%, respectively, and the pretest objects had proposals and suggestions for modification. Conclusion According to the suggestion and proposal from the pretest objects, the handbook can be modified and published.

Talk teaching is an effective form of teaching research activity.It focuses on the teachers,teaching ideas and their abilities of curriculum development,curriculum designing and teaching practice.It is of great significance in optimizing pathophysiologic teaching,improving the teaching effect and teachers'quality.It is worth discussing and promoting.Talk teaching should be the basic skill necessary to the teachers of basic medicine.
