Objective To access the relationship between the polymorphism of G protein-coupled receptor kinases 4(GRK4,including R65L,A486V and A142V) and essential hypertension.Methods All the literature on the subjects was searched by keywords such as essential hypertension,hypertension,G protein-coupled receptor kinases 4 gene,and polymorphism in the electronic databases,Medline of Year 1997 to 2006.RevMan 4.2 software was used for Meta analysis.Results A total of 857 cases and 913 controls from 4 studies were included.The ORs of genotypes of R65L,A142V and A486V were 0.97(0.75 to 1.25,P=0.81),0.81(0.30 to 2.08,P=0.65) and 1.48(1.16 to 1.8,P=0.001) respectively.Conclusion GRK4 gene polymorphism A486V is significantly associated with susceptibility of essential hypertension.People who carries A486V have a higher risk to be subject to essential hypertension.

[Objective ] To evaluate the curative effect of urinary retention caused by hyperplasia of prostate gland after treatment of electric acupuncture to Ciliao and Zhongliao acupoints combined with ultrashort wave therapy.[Methods] 35 patients were treated by electric acupuncture to Ciliao and Zhongliao acupoints cooperating with ultrashort wave therapy.Residual urine volumn(RUV),frequency of urinary retention,the therapeutic effect and follow-up were recorded and statistically analyzed.[Results] 29 patients were able to urinate after the therapy,except for 6 patients who were still in urinary retention condition.Effective rate were up to 82.8%.[Conclusion] It proved that the less the frequency was,the better the clinical effect would be.However,no matter how frequent the retention was,our combination therapy still worked,and both effects of the near future and long-term were proved to be fine.Special therapeutic action from Shu acupoint,electric acupuncture's electric current effect,and physical therapy of ultrashort wave contributed to the outcome.

Objective To investigate the calcium signal transduction pathway in hippocampal neurons of mice with vascular dementia (VaD) and the intervention effect of dihydroergocriptine (DHE). Methods The mice were subjected for ischemia-reperfusion repeatedly on bilateral common carotid arteries by knots to establish the VaD models. Animals with sham-operation were taken as control group. The treating group was administered with DHE after the establishment of VaD model. The behavior changes were observed through the step-down avoidance test and water maze test on the 29th and 30th days after operation. The resting 〔Ca 2+〕 i level of hippocampal neurons was evaluated by laser scanning confocal microscopy. RT-PCR technique was used to measure mRNA expression of CaM an CaMPKⅡ in hippocampal neurons. Objective To evaluate the value of retrospective ECG-gated 256 slices spiral CT technique in the scanning of inferior phrenic artery (IPA).Methods 80 patients with underdone abdominal CTA were divided randomly into two groups (40 patients each)as regular abdominal CTA scanning group and retrospective ECG-gated technique group.And further analysis was done to evaluate the display of IPA branches and the image quality.Results 80 patients were all scanned successfully.40 cases LIPA and 40 cases RIPA were showed in the regular group.80 cases showed 1st level branches of IPA,73 cases with 2nd level,59 cases with 3rd and 43 ca-ses showing 4th level.40 cases LIPA and 40 cases RIPA were showed in ECG-gated group.And the numbers of IPA branches levels were 80,79,71,65,respectively.There is no significant difference in the ability of showing the1st level IPA or their image quality between those two groups (P >0.05);and there is a statistical significance in the ability of showing other levels of IPA and their im-age quality.Conclusion It is feasible that we use retrospective ECG-gated 256 slices spiral CT scanning technique to show the IPA. And it could improve the ability of showing the IPA branches as well as the image quality.

The effect of recombinant human phospholipase D2(rhPLD2)in vivo was investigated on the secretion of serum glycosyl phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase D(GPI-PLD)in guinea pigs of chronic asthma．Ater treating the guinea pigs attacked by chronic asthma with rhPLD2,the GPI-PLD activity detection was canrried out by phase separation of human placental alkaline phosphatase in Triton X-114．Compared with the healthy guinea pigs(NS group),the serum GPI-PLD in the guinea pigs of chronic asthma are much higher than that of control groups,P≤0．01．Our results showed that rhPLD2 could significantly reduce the secretion of GPI-PLD when the guinea pigs were attacked by chronic asthma．

Objective To observe the effect of penetrating electro-acupuncture at scalp-acupoints on the motor function and oxidative stress action of mice with Parkinson's disease (PD).Methods Mouse model of PD was established by 5-day intraperitoneal injection of 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP,30 mg/kg),and then PD mice were given electro-acupuncture set at different parameters.The effect of the electroacupuncture on the behavior and expression of tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) of mice were observed to screen out the appropriate treatment parameters.Healthy C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into blank group,model group,positive group (madopar,6.25 mg/kg) and electro-acupuncture group.The mice except for blank group were given intraperitoneal injection of MPTP to induce PD,and then the PD mice of positive group and electroacupuncture group were treated with madopar(6.25 mg/kg) and electro-acupuncture respectively from the 6th day for 7 continuous days.Behavioral test was carried out on the 5~ modeling day and on the Th electro-acupuncture treatment day to evaluate the motor function of the mice.After the mice were killed and their brains were isolated,mitochondrial complex Ⅰ ～Ⅳ activities,reactive oxygen species(ROS) level,malondialdehyde (MDA) content,and total activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD) in the cerebral mitochondria were determined to evaluate the effect of electro-acupuncture at acupoints on anti-oxidative stress of PD mice.Results The motor function of PD mice was improved,the activity of mitochondrial complex Ⅰ was increased,the contents of ROS and MDA in cerebral mitochondria were decreased,and the activity of SOD was increased in the electro-acupuncture group,the differences being significant compared with those of the model group (P ＜ 0.05 or P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion Penetrating electro-acupuncture at scalp-acupoints can increase the anti-oxidative ability of the cerebral mitochondria and improve the motor function of PD mice.

Objective Sperparamagnetic material is widely used in tumor localization and treatment , but there are still few studies in bone tissue engineering .This study aims to investigate the osteogenic efficiency of superparamagnetic scaffolds poly lactic acid hydroxy acetic acid (PLGA)/iron-doped hydroxyapatite (Fe-HA) for repairing rabbit mandibular defects , as well as evaluating the biocompatibility of the material . Methods 36 New Zealand rabbits were randomly selected and randomly divided into 6 groups, control without and with static magnetic field ( SMF ) groups ( no material is implanted), PLGA scaffold without and with SMF groups (implanted PLGA), PLGA/Fe-HA scaffold without and with SMF groups ( im-planted PLGA/Fe-HA), each group has 6 rabbits.We created bilat-eral mandibular defect models , executed the rabbits at 4 weeks and 12 weeks post-surgery, marked the mandibular specimens which detected by general observation, Micro-CT and HE staining, and ana-lyzed the results of bone mineral density in defect area .The hematological detection , pathological examination of liver and kidney sam-ples were carried out at 12 weeks pot-surgery.. Results The PLGA/Fe-HA scaffold without and with SMF groups began to appear rough defect area edge , decreased defect diameter , new bone formation from 4 weeks; the defect area formed a smooth , continuous bone repair from 12 weeks.The PLGA scaffold without and with SMF groups appeared rough , irregular callus repair , visible boundary between defect edge and normal bone tissue .There are still have part of unrepaired bone defect in the center of defect area in the control without and with SMF groups.At 12 weeks , the bone mineral density of PLGA/Fe-HA scaffold with SMF group [(572.50±19.09) mgHA/cm3] , respectively, compared with the PLGA scaffold with SMF group [(467.00±6.24)mgHA/cm3], the control with SMF scaffold group [(480.00±2.08) mgHA/cm3], the PLGA/Fe-HA scaffold without SMF group [(461.00±19.79)mgHA/cm3], the PL-GA scaffold without SMF group [(446.00±11.31)mgHA/cm3] and the control without SMF group [(422.00±28.28) mgHA/cm3], all the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05).The bone mineral density of PLGA/Fe-HA scaffold with SMF group at 4 weeks [(572.50±19.09)mgHA/cm3] was significantly higher than that at 12 weeks [(276.00±28.28)mgHA/cm3] (P<0.05), the differences between 4 weeks and 12 weeks in other groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The superparama-gentic PLGA/Fe-HA scaffolds can promote the repair of bone defect , optimize the osteogenic effect of the material with SMF .Also ,the scaffold showed a good biocompatibility .

ObjectiveTo study the feasibility,efficacy and safety of u tilizing the laryngeal mask airway (LMA) ventilation compared with the endotracheal intubation ( ET ) in neonatal resuscitation for moderate and severe asphyxiated neonates.MethodsNeonates requiring positive pressure ventilation with heartrate ＜60 beats/min were collected and grouped quasi-randomizedly into LMA(36 cases) or ET(32 cases)ventilation.Differences of resuscitation effect,inserting time,successful once insertion rate and adverse reactions between the two groups were observed and compared.Results( 1 ) No significant difference was observed in Apgar scores at 1 min and 5 min between the two groups ( P＞0.05 ).(2) Success rate of once insertion was 94.4％ with average inserting time ( 7.58±1.16 ) s for LMP group,while it was 90.6％ and ( 7.89 ± 1.52) s for ET group.( 3 ) Successful resuscitation rate of LMA group ( 86.11％ ) was slightly lower than ET group (96.88％ ),but there was no statistical difference (P＞0.05).(4) Mean response time of LMA group [ (34.06 ± 10.56) s] was slightly lower than that of ET group [ (41.38 ±27.19) s],also ventilation time of LMA group [( 137.19 ±80.14) s] was slightly lower than that of ET group [ ( 171.09±84.28 ) s ],but neither showed statistical difference ( P＞0.05 ).(5) Adverse reactions were found in LMA group including nausea( 2 cases )and abdominal distention (1 cases),while there were laryngeal edema( 1 cases),pneumothorax(2 cases),respiratory tract bleeding( 1 cases) in ET group.ConclusionThe LMA ventilation is much easier to operate,with its effect no less than that of ET ventilation on resuscitation for moderate and severe asphyxiated cases,even it seems more safe.LMA ventilation can be a good substitute for ET ventilation,especially for those medical staffs who are unfamiliar with ET operation and primary hospital doctors in case of emergency.
