Objective To investigate the influence of vertebral artery (VA) dominance in basilar artery (BA) curvature and pontine or cerebellar infarction occurring around the vertebrobasilar junction. Methods Radiological data (infarction laterality,VA dominance,BA curvature and their directional relationships)were analyzed in 86 patients with acute unilateral pontine or posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) territory infarction.Multiple Logistic regression analysis was performed to predict the moderate to severe BA curvature. Results The dominant VA frequently happened on the left side (69.8%,60/86).The BA curvature frequently happened to be right lateral flexion (74.4%,64/86).In 86 patients,71 patients had negative direction relationship between VA dominance and BA curvature. The diameter grade of VA had significant relationship with hypertension, moderate and severe BA curvature and right diameter of VA (P < 0.05 or < 0.01).The diameter of VA was the only independent predictor for moderate and severe BA curvature (OR =2.81,95% CI:1.33-6.09).Conclusions VA dominance is an important predictive factor of BA curvature, and BA curvature is usually opposite to the side of VA dominance.VA dominance and BA curvature caused by VA dominance increase the incidence of vertebrobasilar junctional infarction.

Objective To explore the differences of bone age of radius, ulna, metacarpophalangeal and carpal bones in children with different physiques. Methods Radiographs of children's wrists aged between 4 and 12 years were collected. The bone age of radius, ulna, metacarpophalangeal, and carpal bones were assessed using the Chinese Children's Bone Age Score, and the difference between the two bone ages(the former minus the latter)was recorded.According to gender, age, and physical grouping, the physical group was divided into normal and abnormal groups. The abnormal group was further divided into thin, overweight, and obese groups.A comparative analysis was conducted to determine the differences in bone age between normal and abnormal groups for both males and females at all ages. Results A total of 3 028 children were included, and the differences between the two bone age results for normal boys aged 7-12 years and normal girls aged 5-12 years were not statistically significant(P>0.05).In boys, there was no significant difference in bone age between the normal group and the thin group(P>0.05),the difference in bone age between the normal and thin groups at the age of 5-6 years was greater than that between the overweight and obese groups, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),the difference in bone age between the normal group at 11-12 years and the thin group at 11 years was smaller than that between the overweight and obese groups(P<0.05).The difference in bone age was smaller in the normal group than in the thin group at 6 years of age for girls(P<0.05),and larger in the thin group than in the overweight and obese groups at 5 to 6 years old(P<0.05).Conclusion The difference in bone age between the TW-C RUS series and TW-C C series bone age values is influenced by the child's gender, physique, and age.The difference in bone age between the majority of normal children and the thin group is not statistically significant, but differed from the overweight and obese groups at some ages, most are the overweight and obese boys.

Objective :
To explore the method of intraperitoneal injection of allogenic fecal filtrate to establish the rat model of moderate and severe sepsis.
Methods:
The preparation method of allogeneic fecal filtrate was determined.Allogeneic fecal filtrate of different concentrations (0. 5,1,2 g / kg) was injected intraperitoneally to observe the general situation, survival time and severe degree of sepsis of rats. After determining the optimal concentration, the success rate of the model, serum inflammatory factors, serum concentration of D-lactic acid ( D-LA) and serum intestinal fatty acid binding protein (I-FABP) ,lung function changes, lung, liver and kidney tissue injury were further observed.
Results:
After intraperitoneal injection of allogenic fecal filtrate for 24 h,the rats of 1 g / kg group presented fever, tachypnea and hypotension, the survival rate was 83. 3% at 24 h and 16. 7% at 48 h, 2 g / kg group rats all died within 24 h,the dose of 1 g / kg was determined for subsequent experiments.Injected fecal filtrate for 24 h,the success rate of the sepsis model was 77. 8% . The levels of interleukin-6 ( IL-6) ,tumor necrosis factor-α ( TNF-α) ,D-LA and I-FABP in serum significantly increased. There were severe edema and bleeding in lung tissue,Pulmonary function appeared respiratory dysfunction, included functional residual capacity (FRC) ,quasi static compliance ( Cdyn) ,forced expiratory volume for the first 100 milliseconds(FEV100) ,peak
expiratory flow (PEF) decreased, airway resistance (RI) ,inspiratory capacity (IC) increased.Liver and kidney tissues also showed varying degrees of edema and inflammatory cell infiltration, the levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) ,aspartate aminotransferase (AST) ,blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine ( Cr) in serum significantly increased.
Conclusion
Intraperitoneal injection of allogenic fecal filtrate ( 1 g / kg) can produce a relative typical septic model in rats.
