Objective To observe the clinical characteristics and prognosis in children with high take -off coronary artery. Methods The clinical characteristics, laboratory examinations and prognosis were retrospectively ana-lyzed in 49 children with high take -off coronary artery who had been admitted to Beijing Children′s Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University from April 2009 to December 201 2.Results Among 49 medical records of children with high take -off coronary artery,34 cases were male and 1 5 cases were female, with a mean age of (9.28 ±4.42)years old,and the youngest patient was 1 3 months old,and the oldest patient was 1 7 years and 2 months old.The 64 -section multidetector CT angiography of all patients showed one or both coronary arteries originated from 1 .0 cm higher than the junction area of sinus and aorta, including 38 high take -off of the left coronary artery,7 high take -off of the right coronary artery and 4 high take -off of both coronary arteries. The chief complaints of the patients included chest pain (22 cases,44.90%),chest tightness(1 3 cases,26.53%),declining of exercise tolerance(7 cases,1 4.29%),fatigue (5 cases,1 0.20%),palpitation(3 cases,6.21 %),syncope(1 case,2.04%).Electrocardiogram(ECG)of those pa-tients showed ST -T changes, atrioventricular block, sinus tachycardia, pathological Q -wave,proiosystole and bundle branch block.Ultrasonic cardiogram(UCG)indicated 1 4 patients with the enlarged left ventricle, including 2 patients with ejection fraction lower than 60%.After 1 0 days hospitalization, the anesis of chest pain and chest tightness were significantly different statistically(P <0.05),but there was no significant difference in ECG and UCG.Thirty -nine out of 49 children were followed for 1 year. After 3 months,6 patients with ST -T problem showed normal ST -T segment. After 6 months,1 0 patients with ST -T problem showed normal ST -T segment. After 1 year,1 7 patients with ST -T problem showed normal ST -T segment. Conclusions High take -off coronary artery is a rare malformation of the coronary artery, which can cause myocardial ischemic, leading to multiple clinical manifestations and may result in ECG changes and the left ventricle enlargement.High take -off coronary artery can be confused with myocarditis and myocar-dial lesion clinically.Patients receiving systemic treatment may have their symptoms released, but ECG and UCG may not relieve in a short term.Patients with high take -off coronary artery need long -term observation.

To clarify the active components in Guizhi Fuling capsule in treatment of intrinsic dysmenorrhea, pelvic inflammation and hysteromyoma, main components were gradually knocked out from the capsules, the effects of knockout capsules on uterine contraction, TNF-α secretion, murine splenocytes (SPL) and hysteromyoma cells proliferation were evaluated, respectively. The inhibition of capsules on uterine contraction was weakened by gradient knockout of paeoniflorin, paeonol, and amygdalin. The suppression of capsulte on TNF-α secretion was reduced by gradient knockout of gallic acid, cinnamaldehyde, pentagalloylglucose, and pachyman. The promotion of SPL cells proliferation was reversed by gradient knockout of gallic acid, paeoniflorin, cinnamaldehyde, quercetin, and pachyman. The depression of capsules on hysteromyoma cells proliferation was attenuated by gradient knockout of paeoniflorin, paeonol, pentagalloylglucose, and albiflorin. In conclusion, the compounds mentioned-above could be the key active basis of Guizhi Fuling capsule in treatment of intrinsic dysmenorrhea, pelvic inflammation and hysteromyoma.

Objective To propose a new blood purification modality-hemodialysis with plasma- based dialysate (HD-PBD) plus high volume hemofiltration (HVHF) for patients with liver failure, and to evaluate the effect of this treatment on plasma cytokines. Methods Twelve patients with liver failure were included in this study. All patients received HD-PBD therapy in the first 6 hours, and then were treated with HVHF for 24 hours with the same filter (AV600).The levels of TNF-?,IL-1?, IL-6 and IL-8 in plasma before and after HD-PBD plus HVHF for 6 and 24 hours were examined respectively by ELISA,and changes of clinical parameters were observed at the same time point. Serum bilirubin, total bile acids (TBA),serum ammonia, blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine (Scr) were detected before and after treatment.Arterial blood gas analysis and the concentration of electrolytes were monitored before and after treatment. Results (1)HD-PBD for 6 hours was more effective than HVHF for 24 hours in removal of serum bilirubin and TBA(P<0.05). (2)Serum ammonia,BUN,Ser,arterial blood HCO_3~-,PCO_2,PO_2 and electrolytes did not show significant difference before and after HD-PBD (P>0.05),but these parameters significantly changed before and after HVHF (P<0.05).(3)The average level of serum bilirubin was sharply decreased after HVHF for 24 h following HD-PBD(P<0.05).(4)After HD-PBD plus HVHF,there was a marked reduction of the plasma levels of TNF-?,IL-6 and IL-8.Conclusions HD-PBD plus HVHF,a newly proposed modality for patients with liver failure, can effectively decrease serum bilirubin,TBA,BUN,Scr,ammonia and cytokines, and adjust water-electrolyte as well as acid- alkali balance. It is a low-cost,safe,simple and convenient therapy.

This project is targeted on exploring some improving approaches to isolate and culture the microorganisms which are difficult to be isolated and cultured through the conventional ways. The results showed that betaine, sodium pyruvate, SOD and catalase are helpful for increasing the total number and variety of isolated strains. A kind of combined method was also used to isolate the micro-colony which can not be seen by naked eyes on the plates. Totally 52 Actinomycetes and 103 bacteria and 17 fungi were obtained from 4 soil samples using the above methods. 4. 325% microorganisms were obtained as positive strains to inhibit the growth of some kinds of test bacteria, which is higher than the percent using generally isolated ones. These microbial natural products may remain an important resource for the drug discovery.

AIM:To compare the efficiency of fibrin glue to suture technique in pterygium surgery performed with limbal autograft under different methods of anesthesia.
METHODS: A prospective randomised clinical trial was carried out in 60 eyes of 55 patients operated for primary nasal pterygium, which were divided into two groups randomly: experimental group ( 30 eyes in 27 patients ) was under surface anesthesia ( oxybuprocaine ) and control group ( 30 eyes in 28 patients ) was under local anesthesia ( 20g/L lidocaine ). Autologous limbal graft taken from the superotemporal limbus was used to cover the sclera by a fibrin tissue adhesive after pterygium excision. Patients were followed up at least for 6mo. Time of operation, matching degree of graft and VAS score were mainly observed and recorded.
RESULTS: In experimental group the average surgery time was shorter (P=0. 008) and matching degree of graft ( 93%) was better than control group ( 83%) , the differences had statistical significance(P<0.05).
CONCLUSION: The surface anesthesia is enough when using fibrin glue for graft fixation in pterygium surgery, which will shorten surgery time and get better matching degree of graft.
