Objective:To compare the effect of misoprostol respectively with sublingual administration and rectal administration in the treatment of postpartum hemorrhage. Methods:Totally 72 pregnant women were randomly divided into two groups with 36 cases in each. The sublingual group was given misoprostol 600 μg under the tongue immediately after the front shoulder of baby was delivered, while the rectal group was given misoprostol 600μg into rectum deeply. The amount of blood loss in 2 hours and 24 hours after the de-livery and the adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results: The postpartum hemorrhageon in 2 hours and 24 hours of the sublingual group was significantly less than that of the rectal group, and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage in the sub-lingual group was significantly lower than that of the rectal group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). After the treatment, the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups had no significant difference (P>0. 05). However, the incidence of shiver in the sublingual group was significantly higher than that in the rectal group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0. 05). Conclusion:The preventive effect of misoprostol with sublingual administration on postpartum hemorrhage after natural vagi-nal delivery is better than that with rectal administration, which is safe and convenient, and worthy of promoted application in clinics.

OBJECTIVE To find out the reasons for the failure of sterilization of low temperature plasma antiseptic,and make corresponding measures to improve and standardize the plasma sterilization methods.METHODS A total of 280 times with the plasma sterilization by Johnson & Johnson STERRAD100S from the November 2007 to 2008 were conducted.RESULTS Among the antiseptic 280 pots,255 pots were completed smoothly.Another 25 pots were finished after removing the barriers.CONCLUSIONS The STERRAD100S low temperature plasma antiseptic is used standardizedly,taking effective measure,to speed up cycling rate of surgery instruments,reducing precious instrument's purchase and enhancing the antiseptic effect.It can positively use in operating room for antiseptic disinfection.

[Objective] To observe the reversal action of acupuncture on experimental rats with insulin resistance. [Methods] Twenty-four rats were randomized into normal group, control group and treatment group. Each group had 8 rats. Rat models with insulin resistance were induced by feeding of high-carbonhydrate forage. Fasting blood-glucose (FBG) and plasma insulin (PI) levels and insulin sensitivity index ( ISI) were examined after acupuncture of Neiguan ( PC6 ) , Zusanli ( ST36) , Sanyinjiao (SP6) and Shenshu (BL23). Objective To explore the effects of hyperglycemia and oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) on the differentiation of macrophage derived THP-1 monocytes. Methods THP-1 human monocytic leukemia cell line was cultured in vitro, and the differentiation of THP-1 cells into macrophages was induced by phorbol esters. The macrophages were then incubated with the absence of D-glucose and ox-LDL (control group), 30 mmol/L D-glucose (hyperglycemia group), 100 μg/mL ox-LDL (ox-LDL group) or 30 mmol/L D-glucose and 100 μg/mL ox-LDL(G-ox-LDL group) for 24 h. High performance liquid chromatography was used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of intracellular cholesterol and cholesteryl esters. Both light microscope with red oil O staining technique and transmission electron microscope were employed to observe the morphology of treated and control THP-1 cells. Results A large number of intracellular red oil O stained granules and lipid vacuoles were observed in ox-LDL group and G-ox-LDL group, the contents of total cholesterol and cholesteryl esters were significantly higher than those of control group (P<0.05), and the contents of cholesteryl esters were higher than 50% of total cholesterol in both groups. However, only a few intracellular red oil O stained granules and lipid vacuoles were observed in control group and hyperglycemia group, there was no significant difference in the contents of total cholesterol and choleateryl esters between control group and hyperglycemia group (P>0.05), and the contents of cholesteryl esters were less than 50% of total cholesterol in both groups. Conclusion Foam cells form when THP-1 cells are incubated with ox-LDL, while hyperglycemia alone can not convert THP-1 cells to foam cells, indicating that ox-LDL is necessary for the macrophages derived THP-1 monocytes to turn into foam cells.

SWNTs are a mixture of 1/3 metallic SWNTs (m-SWNTs) and 2/3 semiconducting SWNTs (s-SWNTs). It is desirable to separate the metallic SWNTs from the semi-conducting ones. In this study m-SWNTs was separated by using a poly[(m-phenylenevinylene)-alt-(p-phenylenevinylene)] (PmPV) derivative and used as photo-thermal media instead of SWNTs. The separation effects of m-SWNTs were evaluated by Raman spectra, molecular modeling and TEM images. The effects of m-SWNTs on MCF-7 cell proliferation and apoptosis were evaluated with MTT assay and flow cytometry, respectively. m-SWNTs were separated with high purity. A strong inhibition of MCF-7 cell growth was observed with the m-SWNTs under near-infrared (NIR) light irradiation. Our results will be helpful for the potential applications of m-SWNTs in clinical photothermal cancer therapy.

In this experiment six methods,calcium chloride(CaCl_(2)) precipitation,polyethylene glycol(PEG,pH7.0) precipitation,polyethylene glycol(PEG,pH11.5) precipitation,aluminum chloride(AlCl_(3)) precipitation,Amicon Utcra centrifugal filter devices and cellulose nitrate membrane were used to concentrate the vaccine poliovirus type 1(PV_(1)) added to water body;experimental conditions for concentration were selected and optimized.The results showed that two methods,CaCl_(2)and PEG(pH 7.0) precipitation were suitable for concentrating virus in large volumes of water while amicon utcra centrifugal filter devices for small ones.The virus recovery of the three methods reached a 100% rate.

[Objective] To study the effect of electroacupuncture on NO, NOS and ET - 1 levels in rats with focal cerebral ischemia (FCI). [Methods] Rat models with FCI were established by occlusion of unilateral middle cerebral artery. Twenty - two rats were allocated to three groups: Group A (mimic operation group), Group B (model group) and Group C (model rats treated with electroacupuncture). NO, NOS and ET - 1 levels in brain homogenate were measured by spectrophotometry and radioimmunoassay method respectively. [Results] Sixty minutes after modeling, NO, NOS and ET- 1 levels were increased and then decreased 10 minutes after acupuncturing Baihui (GV20) and Dazhui (GV14). [Conclusion] Electroacupuncture of Baihui (GV20) and Dazhui (GV14) can protect neuron from ischemic injury by decreasing the levels of NO and ET - 1 and inhibiting the activity of NOS.
