4.Analysis on the Efficiency of 14 Division-level Hospitals of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Based on DEA Model
Chinese Health Economics 2013;(7):78-80
Objective: To evaluate the operational efficiency of the division-level hospitals of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Methods: Use DEA’s CCR model and BCC model to calculate the overall efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and use super-efficiency model to calculate efficiency ranking of the division-level hospitals. Results: In the total pattern, there were 28.6%of the agricultural division hospitals at the stage of constant returns scale;in the medical service model, there were only 14.3% hospitals at that stage. Conclusion: From the results of two models, the technical efficiency has more room for improvement, compared with efficiency scale. The hospital needs to improve the level of health care technique, avoid blind expansion, minimize unnecessary input, strengthen internal meticulous management, and improve the overall operating efficiency of the hospital.
5.Exercise training improves the arterial baroreflex function in heart failure rats
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 2010;26(1):59-63
AIM: To investigate the effect of exercise training(EX) on the arterial baroreflex and possible mechanisms in rats with chronic heart failure(CHF).METHODS: Experiments were carried out in four groups: EX-CHF,CHF,EX-sham,and sham. CHF was induced by left coronary artery ligation, and EX consisted of 4 weeks of treadmill running. Baroreflex function, plasma angiotensin II(Ang II) and central AT1 receptor expression were determined.RESULTS: (1) The average slope and maximal gain of the baroreflex curve in CHF rats were lower than those in sham rats(P<0.01). EX significantly enhanced baroreflex parameters in CHF group but not in sham group.(2) EX decreased plasma Ang II in CHF rats [(137±27)ng/L vs (263±55)ng/L,P<0.01],but had no significant effect on plasma Ang II in sham rats [(75±17)ng/L vs (92±21)ng/L].(3) Expression of AT1R protein in the PVN of CHF rats was higher than that in sham rats(1.20±0.21 vs 0.70±0.14,P<0.01). EX reduced AT1R protein level in CHF rats(0.90±0.13),but had no impact in sham rats(0.60±0.16).CONCLUSION: EX restores the attenuated arterial baroreflex function in CHF rats, involving in decrease of plasma Ang II and downregulation of AT1R in the PVN.
6.Increased central reactive oxygen species mediate the attenuated baroreflex function in heart failure
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(05):-
AIM:To determine the effect of reactive oxygen species on the baroreflex and to investigate the intracellular mechanism responsible for baroreflex dysfunction in the heart failure state.METHODS:In the rat model of cardiomyocytes infarct induced heart failure, baroreflex function was evaluated by measuring the relationship between renal sympathetic nerve activity(RSNA)responses and change of blood pressure by intravenous injection of nitroglycerin and phenylephrine.Alteration in baroreflex function was measured under the different reactive oxygen species(ROS)level induced by intracerebroventricular administration of several chemicals.RESULTS:(1)The range of RSNA response, average slope and maximum gain of baroreflex function curve were(92.2?9.9) mmHg,(0.07%?0.01%)/mmHg and(1.20%?0.10%)/mmHg,respectively,in CHF rats, which were significantly lower than those in sham rats(65.6?7.4) mmHg,(0.13%?0.02%)/mmHg and(3.00%? 0.20%)/mmHg(P
7.Advances in chemotherapy and radiofrequency ablation of colorectal cancer liver metastases
China Oncology 2006;0(10):-
Colorectal cancer has the propensity to develop liver-dominant metastases. In some of these patients, the liver is the only site of metastatic disease. Thus, surgical resection is the mainstay of treatment for liver-only colorectal cancer metastases, which can produce long-term survival in selected patients, but only 10%-20% of patients are suitable for a surgical approach. In this paper we introduced how to transfer the inoperable colorectal liver metastases to operable colorectal liver metastases through improved chemotherapy with /without molecular target therapy and multidisciplinary treatment approaches, and the results of radiofrequency ablation(RFA),which can also produce long-term survival in a subset of patients with colorectal liver metastasis or prolong survival duration.
8.Changes of Elements in Culex quinquefasciatus Larvae after Infected by Lagenidium giganteum (Oomycetes:lagenidiales)
Chinese Journal of Parasitology and Parasitic Diseases 1987;0(04):-
Objective To analyze the quantitative change of 18 elements in Culex quinquefasciatus Larvae infected by Lagenidium giganteum (Oomycetes:lagenidiales), and to explore possible mechanism of mosquito-killing by the fungus. Methods. Elements in the mosquito larvae at different developmental stages from infected and non-infected (control) groups were detected with automatic bioassay machine. Results . At the early stage of infection, content of Ca and Cu in the infected group was markedly lower while the content of Co and Cd were higher than the control. In 24 hrs after infection, the content of Ca, Mg, Na, P, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn and Cr was significantly lower while that of K, Mo, Co, Ni, Al, Cd and Pb were higher than those in non-infected larvae. No marked difference was found for the content of Sr and B between the two groups. In 48 hrs after infection, considerable difference was found in 17 elements between infected and non-infected larvae, with only one exception of Sr. Conclusion . Many elements which play an important role in maintaining the vitality of the mosquito larvae decreased and some of the heavy metal elements accumulated after the infection of Lagenidium giganteum. This might be a part of the killing mechanism to Culex quinquefasciatus larvae.
