ObjectiveTo study the effect of P21 (WAF1/CIP1) and cyclin D1 and their relationship in colorec- tal carcinoma. Methods The expression of P21 and cyclin D1 was studied in 40 colorectal carcinoma and 10 normal tissues using S-P immunohistochemical technique. ResultsDecreased expression of P12 and overexpression of cyclin D1 were revealed in colorectal carcinoma. Decreased expression of P21 was related to lymph node metastasis. No cor- relation was found between cyclin D1 and clinicopathological parameters. Conclusion Decreased expression of P21 and overexpression of cyclin D1 may be involved in colorectal tumorigenesis, and were associated with poor prognosis. No correlation was found between P21 and cyclin D1 in colorectai carcinoma.

0.05).The morphological characteristics were similar and positive on HE staining and AE5 immunohistochemical staining.PAS staining were negative in two groups. Conclusion The cellu- lar biological activations of limbal epithelial cells are decreased in the ultra low temperature preservation condition, but the affect are limit and can't change the property of corneal limbal epithelial cells and application for ocular surface reconstruction.(Ophthalmol CHN,2008,17:108-112)

Response surface methodology (RSM) was used to optimizing the ultrasonic-assisted extraction technology of pigment from Coreopsis tinctoria. The results showed that the flavonoids were the main constituents of the pigment Based on single factor experiments, a four-factor-level experiment design were developed by box-benhnhen central composite design method with causal factors of ultrasonic temperature, ultrasonic time, ratio of liquid to raw material, the concentrations of ethanol in solvent and the extract absorbance value for the response. The interactive effects of four crucial technological parameters were assessed by response surface methodology (RSM). The optimum ultrasonic-assisted extraction conditions were as follow: ultrasonic temperature was 70 °C, ultrasonic time was 60 min, the concentrations of ethanol in solvent was 72.25% and the ratio of liquid to raw material was 32.05:1 mL . g-1. Under the optimum extraction technology conditions, the absorbance value was 0. 936. The conditidns are suitable for the extraction process regression analysis and parameter optimization.

Garcinia plants are one of the rich sources of natural xanthones and benzophenones which have attracted a great deal of attention from the scientists in the fields of chemistry and pharmacology. Recently, many structurally unique constituents with various bioactivities, especially anti-tumor activity, have been isolated from Garcinia plants. This concise review focused on the anti-cancer activity natural products isolated from Chinese Garcinia plants, and the research finding by authors and collaborators over the past several years were cited.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(22):-
Objective To observe the immunologic effect of lactoferrin on repeated respiratory infection(IRRI) in children. Methods Ninety-eight cases of IRRI were divided into two groups randomly. The control group (48 cases)were treated with routine therapy. The treatment group(50 cases) were treated with lactoferrin based on routine therapy for 2-3 months.T cell subgroup, immunoglobulin and complements were determined before and after treatment. Results Total effective rates in treatment group and control group were 86% and 22.9% respectively. The therapeutic efficacy in treatment group was significantly higher than that in control group(P

Objective To evaluate the value of minimally invasive technique in treatment of severe traumatic intracranial hematoma at emergency department.Method From January 1995 to December 2005,126 patients were treated by using the minimally invasive technique in Affiliated Chaoyang hospital once patients were diagnosedas severe traumatic cerebral hernia resulted from intracranial hematoma and also those whose clinical data were retrospectively analyzed. In the emergency department, the per-operative plan was done according to the CT imaging, including the sute of burr hole on the skull, the direction and depth of carmulation, and the drainage cannula was put into the hematoma cavity for external drainage under local anesthesia. Results The successful rate of puncture was 100%.The patients's dukated oyouk contracted immediately after drainage. There are 79/ 95 patients(83.1%)had single pupil dilated and 17/31(54.8%)patients had bilateral pupils dilated. The immediately clinical effective was 76.2%.According to Glasgow outcome scale,43 of 126 patients had good recovery,26 had moderate deficits and 18 had severe sequelae,16 patients were in vegetative state,18 died. Conclusions Clinical prospective study proves that minimally invasive technique can ameliorate the cerebral hernia, prolong the operative therapie window time.

Objective To study the clinical result of the surgical treatment of upper cervical vertebra disease from high anterior cervical retropharyngeal approach. Methods Among 14 patients, there were 7 C_(2.3)disc hernia- rions combined with C_(2.3)dislocations,3 Hangman fractures,2 odontoid process fractures and 2 C_3 tumors. All patients underwent the high anterior cervical retropharyngeal approach.10 cases were given discectomy of C_(2.3)or focus clear- ance of C_3,iliac bone autograft or titanium cage filled and internal fixation with titanium plate.2 cases of odontoid process fractures were given anterior screw fixation. Results 14 cases got successful exposure. The decompression, reduction, lesion clearance and fusion with internal fixation were done in all patients. There were no important vascu- lar or nerve injuries. The surgical treatment could improve the spinal cord nerve function to a certain degree for the cases with compression of spinal cord. Conclusion Good exposure of upper cervical spine and effective surgical oper- ation could be achieved from high anterior cervical retropharyngeal approach, with minimal trauma and complication, and it was a favorable approach.
