Objective To study the relationship between nitric oxide within cervical microenvironment and different HPV types as well as the effect of sodium nitroprusside( SNP), a nitric oxide donor, on the proliferation and apoptosis of cervical cancer cell lines. Methods HPV typing test was assessed from 115 women by using high-risk HPV (HR-HPV) 21 typing test and the release of cervical nitric oxide(NO) was assessed as nitrate, nitrite in cervical fluid. Cervical NO was then compared between women showing different HPV types. Proliferation of Caski and HeLa cervical cells was determined by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay, cell apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry after 24 hours treated by different final concentration of SNP (0. 125,0. 25,0. 5,1.0 and 2. 0 mmol/L, respectively). The expressions of HPV E6,E7 gene mRNA and p53 protein were detected by SYBR Green Ⅰ quantitative real-time PCR and western blot. Results ( 1 ) The cervical NO release of women with HR-HPV was higher compared to that in HPV negative women [ (47. 6 ± 1.4) μmol/L vs ( 22. 8 ± 0. 3 ) μmol/L; P < 0. 05 ]; but there was no statistical difference between low-risk HPV (LR-HPV) group [ (24. 1 ± 1.2 ) μmol/L] and control group (P >0. 05 ). (2)After 24 hours treated by different final concentration of SNP, the results shown that SNP could inhibited the proliferation and increased apoptosis rate in Caski and HeLa cells, in which the concentration of SNP ≥ 1.0 mmol/L , there were significantly different ( P < 0. 05 ), while when SNP ≥2. 0mmol/L, the proliferation of cells inhibited seriously. Treated by SNP ( 1.0 mmol/L ) 24 hours, the expressions of HPV18 E6, E7 mRNA in HeLa cells were reduced from 27. 362 ±0. 191,22. 962 ±0. 053 to19. 181 ±0. 360, 17. 571 ±0. 010 and the protein expression of p53 increased from 1. 17 ±0. 03 to 0. 23 ±0. 05, there were statistically significant differences between adding SNP group and the control group ( P <0. 05); but there were no statistically significant differences in HPV16 E6, E7 mRNA and that of p53 in Caski cells( P > 0. 05 ). Conclusions The presence of HR-HPV is associated with an increased release of NO in the human uterine cervix; NO could inhibit the growth and proliferation and enhance the apoptosis of cervical cancer cells, inhibit the expression of HPV18 E6, E7 mRNA in HeLa cells and activate the expression of p53 protein, the mechanism may be due to higher sensitivity of HeLa cells (cervical adenocarcinoma cell) to SNP. The increasing release of NO may play a role in regulating the elimination of HPV in cervical microenvironment, which is a part of mucous membrane immunity.

Objective The levels of Thl cytokines(IL-10 and IL-13)and Th2 cytokines(INF-? and TNF-?)were determined in the sera of patients with Schistosomiasis japonica in order to find the relationship between cytokines and severe hepatic fibrosis(HF)in schistosomiasis. Methods A total of 358 patients with advanced Schistosomiasis japonica were examined by ultrasound.68 HBsAg negative patients were chosen randomly as experimental control.Among them,39 patients were found to have mild HF and 29 were severe HF.The sera levels of Thl and Th2 cytokines were determined with ELISA.Results Among these 358 patients,83(23.2%)were HBsAg positive.Neither earlier nor severer hepatic fibrosis was noted in the patients who had been simultaneously infected with HBV than those only infected with schistosomiasis. There was a significant difference between mild[ 1.60(1.30-12.14)ng/L]and severe[ 4.20(1.43- 52.07)ng/L]HF patients in the level of IL-10(Z=-3.907,P0.05)was found in level of IFN-?,between severe[3.12(1.38-66.14)ng/L]and mild[5.87(1.33-216.33)ng/ L]HF subjects. Our observation did not reveal any obvious difference of TNF-? between severe[ 2.48(0.79 -19.86)ng/L]and mild[ 2.28(0.67-15.72)ng/L]HF groups. Conclusions Patients infected with advanced shistosomiasis may become more susceptible to HBV.The results of the present investigation showed that a high level production of IL-13 was associated with severe HF.

A diving decompression procedure is a specific rule that divers should follow when they ascend and get out of water. It
comes from the decompression theory and algorithm and is designed for the prevention of decompression sickness. With the
, ,
development of diving technology and diving medicine the decompression procedures are constantly innovated and the new
,
decompression procedure can be used in diving practice after safety verification. In principle the safety verification of
,
decompression procedures should be conducted on animal experiments before human experiments and the risks of
,
decompression sickness and oxygen toxicity should be systematically assessed. However the assessment methods used in
, , ,
different studies differ greatly thus it is urgent to establish a standard and universal verification system. Traditionally the risk
, ,
assessment of decompression sickness and oxygen toxicity is mainly carried out by observing the incidence detecting bubbles

supplements. Due to the special underwater environment the diving operation is prone to accidents. Therefore in addition to
,
verifying the safety of the new decompression procedure exploring its safety decompression limit is of great significance for the
formulation of emergency decompression procedures in emergency situations. The specific approach is to shorten the
decompression time and assess the safety until the critical time for detecting bubbles without the occurrence of decompression

sickness is found. Future studies should continue to optimize safety assessment methods explore sensitive biochemical markers

clarify species associations and improve verification efficiency and reliability of results.

OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate decision regret among patients receiving penile girth enhancement with acellular dermal matrix (PGE with ADM) and to investigate the potential indicators for decisional regret so as to facilitate the decision-making process for this special group.
METHODS:
In the study, 78 patients receiving PGE with ADM from Jun. 2016 to Jan. 2019 at Peking University People's Hospital and cooperative hospitals were eligible. Penile girth was taken by only one surgeon 1 week before surgery. Hospital anxiety and depression scale (HAD), international index of erectile function (IIEF) and a 10 cm long visual analogue scale named visualized penile image (VPI) were applied to measure psychological burden, erectile function and satisfaction with penile image respectively at the same time. All the patients were followed up for 3 months. Decision regret scale (DRS) was adopted for measuring decisional regret. Multivariate analysis of variance was applied to investigate the potential indicators for regret. Data analysis process was conducted with SPSS (version 24.0; SPSS, Chicago, IL, USA).
RESULTS:
Mean penile girth recorded before intervention was (8.29±0.30) cm and increased to (9.46±0.29) cm post surgery (t=76.28, P < 0.01). As for both subscales of HAD measuring psychological burden, a signi-ficant reduction in the mean score was seen, that is, 2.8±1.3 (t=19.28, P < 0.05) for anxiety and 3.0±1.2 (t=20.67, P < 0.05) for depression, respectively. The average score of VPI increased by 3.7±1.1 (t=30.63, P < 0.05). There was no significant change in the average score of IIEF measuring erectile satisfaction (t=1.60, P=0.11). Twenty-nine (38.2%) patients expressed regret to some degree, and the mean DRS score was 23.4±14.8. The scores of DRS correlated negatively with scores of visualized penis image (r=-0.348, P < 0.01), and positively with scores of anxiety (r=0.760, P < 0.01) and depression subscale (r=0.471, P < 0.01). The scores of DRS was irrelevant to those of IIEF (r=0.02, P=0.867). The patients with high annual income (> 120 000 yuan) and education level above undergraduate were more prone to experience decision regret after intervention (P < 0.01).
CONCLUSION
PGE with ADM did augment penile girth and lower psychological burden, the regret rate of which was acceptably low among the patients. High income and good education might indicate more post-operative regret. Additional decision-making aids should be offered to patients with high income and education level above high school.
