Herald of Medicine 2016;35(6):592-596
Objective To study the effect and mechanism of Plantago depressa Willd. extract on rats with chronic nonbacterial prostatitis. Methods Sixty rats were divided into six groups randomly: normal control group, model control group, cernilton group, high-, medium- and low- dose Plantago depressa Willd. extract group, ten rats in each group. Chronic nonbacterial prostatitis rat model was established in the animals except of normal control group. Rats in the cernilton group were administrated with cernilton solution( 100 mg . kg-1 ) . High, middle and low dose Plantago depressa Willd. extract groups were given 150, 300 and 600 mg . kg-1 of Plantago depressa Willd. extract, respectively. The rats in the normal control and model control group were treated with the same volume of purified water. The administration was performed once every day, and lasted for three weeks.Effects of Plantago depressa Willd.extract on prostate index (PI), prostate specific antigen (PSA), tumor necrosis factorα ( TNF-α) , interleukin-1β ( IL-1β) , cycloxygenase 2 ( COX-2) , prostaglandin E2( PEG2 ) , transforming growth factor-β1( TGF-β1 ) , and connective tissue growth factor ( CTGF ) levels and pathological changes of prostate tissue in rats were observed. Results PI and PSA levels of the normal control group were(0.8±0.3)mg.g-1 and(106.5±10.6)pg.mL-1, respectively;those of the model control group were(2.2±0.2)mg.g-1 and(319.4±23.4)pg.mL-1 respectively; Those of the cernilton group were(1.6±0.3)mg.g-1 and(179.5±13.7)pg.mL-1 respectively; Those of the low-, medium- and high- dose Plantago depressa Willd.extract groups were(1.8±0.4),(1.3±0.3),(0.8±0.3)mg.g-1 and(263.4±28.6),(178.5±21.5), (143.5±12.9)pg.mL-1, respectively.Compared with the model control group, PI and PSA were significantly decreased(P<0.01) , TNF-α, IL-1β, COX-2, PEG2 , TGF-β1 and CTGF levels in the prostate tissues were decreased ( P<0. 01 ) , and inflammatory cell infiltration and fibrosis of prostate tissue was significantly alleviated in the model control group. Conclusion This study confirms Plantago depressa Willd.extract exerts effective therapeutical effect on chronic nonbacterial prostatitis in rats.
3.Research advances of Mfn2 in tumor
Journal of International Oncology 2021;48(1):45-47
Mitofusin 2 (Mfn2) plays an important role in the process of mitochondrial fusion, and is involved in regulating mitochondrial function and morphological changes. Studies have found that Mfn2 has a tumor suppressor effect in a variety of malignant tumors and their cell lines, including cervical cancer, hepatocellular cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, and bladder cancer. The difference in the expression of Mfn2 in malignant tumor tissues suggests that Mfn2 may play an important role in the proliferation, apoptosis, invasion and migration of malignant tumor cells. As a cancer-related gene, Mfn2 provides new ideas for gene therapy of malignant tumors.

Microbiology 1992;0(06):-
Protein fulfilling the their roles, one of important ways is through protein-protein interaction. In functional genomic era, identifying all of protein-protein interaction in proteome and mapping the protein interactions that have been attracting many scientists' attention , of which large-scale yeast two-hybrid system is one strategy of most widely used. In recent two years, ambitious projects have launched to examine all of the protein-protein interaction in Saccharomyces cer-evisiae using large-scale yeast two-hybrid system. Nevertheless, huge protein network is larger than that we predict and single yeast two-hybrid system cannot solve all the problems, which need be complemented by other wags.

Clinical Medicine of China 2008;24(7):680-682
Objective To study the effects of ginsenoside on expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase and concentration of NO in THP-1 induced by amyloid beta(Aβ) in Alzheimer's disease. Methods The concentra- tion of nitric oxide was determined by Griess Reagent in supernatant of THP-1. The content of iNOS was measured by western blotting. Results The expression of iNOS of model group was significantly higher than those of control group. Compared with model group, the ginseng could reduce expression of iNOS and concentration of NO significant- ly in THP-1. Conclusion Ginsenoside can significantly inhibit the expression of iNOS, and reduce secretions of NO, so it may provide a novel therapy for AD.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 1985;0(03):-
Objective:To analyze two different kinds of mouse model with immune thrombocytopenic purpura for the immune mechanisms. Methods:Immune thrombocytopenic purpura was induced by either injection of polyclonal antibody or immunized inoculation with rat platelets. Results:The two kinds of model all induced decrease of platelets, while immunization with platelets of rat induced alloantibodies in the mice. Conclusion:Immunization with platelets of rat can mimic the production process of autoantibodies in human and lead to immune thrombocytopenic purpura in mice.

Objective To study the effect of different calcium interference on the bone health during pregnancy. Methods 59 pregnant women aged from 26 to 36 were observed by longitudinal follow-up,the research women were divided into three groups by random, with similar amount of energy and nutrient given excepting calcium. Results Calcium content in the traditional diet of pregnant women was lower than 450mg/d,in different groups and stages,no changes were found in serum calium and phosphorus contents.Calium retention in bone increased after calium supply. Conclusion Calcium content in the traditional diet of pregnant women is lower than RDA.The level of serum calium and phosphorus are fixed.Calium supply is necessary for pregnant women.

Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(03):-
Objective Artificial mineral water pills were made by loading many kinds of trace elements into the ceramic carrier.Pure water could be mineralized after dipping the pills into the water. To assess the possible hazardous effects on the human health induced by the pills,a series of hygienic and toxicological experiments on the pills were carried out. Methods Acute oral toxicity test, micronucleus test of mice bone marrow cells, sperm abnormality test in mice and Ames test were con-ducted.Contents of trace elements, heavy metals and radioactivity in the mineralized water were determined according to the examination methods in Standard Examination Methods for Drinking Water and Examination Methods for Drinking Natural Min-eral Water. Results The contents of trace elements, heavy metals and radioactivity in mineralized water met the requirements of GB5749-1985Sanitary Standard for Drinking Water and GB8537-1995Sanitary Standard for Drinking Natural Mineral Wa-ter.Mineral pills were classified as actually non-toxic and the results of micronucleus test of mice bone marrow cells, sperm ab-normality test in mice and Ames test were negative. Conclusion Mineralized drinking water treated by artificial mineral pills were safe.
