International Journal of Surgery 2013;40(12):820-824
To review the outcome of the endovascular treatment of aortoiliac occlusive disease, the recent literature concerning endovascular treatment as well as aortoiliac occlusive disease was extensively reviewed, and the research and development were summarized. The results are:(1) In most cases, endovascular invention is better than surgery ; (2) Stent placement has a higher technical success rates and a better longterm outcome than percutaneous transluminal angioplasty, primary or selective stent placement, which is better,is controversial; (3)Covered stents perform better than bare stents in longer-term patency and clinical outcome ; (4)Endovascular treatment of complex AIOD provides excellent early and long-term results, similar to those obtained in the treatment of simple lesions. So,in general, endovascular treatment of aortoiliac occlusive disease provides excellent clinical results, further research is needed.
2.Will Chinese ovarian cancer patients benefit from knowing the BRCA2 mutation status?
Chinese Journal of Cancer 2012;31(1):1-4
In Western countries, the mutation status of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes is commonly determined for genetic counseling among members of families with a history of breast or ovarian cancer, especially for women of the Ashkenazi Jewish ethnicity. Recent studies in the Cancer Genome Atlas project have demonstrated that BRCA2 mutation carriers are more responsive to platinum-based chemotherapy among high-grade serous ovarian cancer patients. Thus, in Western countries, the mutation status of BRCA1 and BRCA2 is recognized to have an important value with which to assess cancer risk and therapeutic response. However, very limited studies of BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations and their implications for counseling and therapeutic prediction have been conducted in China. Therefore, a potentially important genetic test that is technically simple has not benefited Chinese women with an increased risk of breast or ovarian cancer. This article summarizes the current progress in the study of BRCA1/2 mutation in China and recommends an increased effort in applying advances in genetic testing to the clinical management of Chinese patients with ovarian cancer.

Chinese Medical Ethics 1996;0(01):-
The patient-physician relationship can be understood from the two aspects of patients′ trust and patients′ satisfaction.Compared with patients′ satisfaction, dimensions and attributes of patients′ trust indicate to better match with the measuring capacity of patients. Thus, the evaluation of the quality of medical services based on patients′ trust is justified theoretically. The existing literatures assert that the research on patients′ trust could help understand patient-physician relationship and eventually improve the quality of medical services. The conceptual model in this paper entails the concept, dimensions and attributes of patients′ trust. Also, this paper points out its effect on the measurement of the quality of medical services through the comparison of patients′ trust and patients′ satisfaction.

Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 1996;0(03):-
Objective To understand the effects of "total quantity control" indexes on community health services and the residents' use of them so as to provide scientific basis for furthering reform in the medical insurance system. Methods A survey was made on the operation of the 3 community health centers of Jiangbin Xincun,Huashanwan and Hejianong in Jingkou District of Zhenjiang by means of direct inquiry and literature review. Results The average annual quantity of medical insurance plans allocated to the centers in the last 4 years involved 810 thousand yuan, the quantity actually fulfilled involved(953.5) thousand yuan, and the estimated annual quantity the centers were capable of fulfilling was valued at(1.45) million yuan, nearly 500 thousand yuan more than the quantity actually fulfilled. Conclusion Total quantity control on community health centers not only hinders the healthy development of community health services and the enthusiasm of the medical workers but also adversely affects the residents'use of health services and their health maintenance.

Chinese Journal of Interventional Cardiology 2003;0(06):-
Objective To summarize our experiences of management for hypogastric artery in endovascular repair(EVR) of infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm(IAAA).Methods From July,1997 to March,2007,62 cases of IAAAs required special management of the internal iliac artery(IIA) during the EVR.Among them,57 cases were type C AAA who included 35 cases of unilateral common iliac artery(CIA) bifurcations and 22 cases of bilateral iliac bifurcations. The remaining 5 cases involved superior iliac bifurcations.Various techniques including simple coverage by stent-graft,embolization of the IIA trunk combined with stent-graft covering, reconstruction of the IIA and combination of the above techniques were applied according to the different conditions of the IIA involved. Results None of the 62 patients required conversion to surgical repair.Immediate post operational angiography demonstrated type Ⅰ endoleak in 6 cases(9.7%).Claudication due to gluteus ischemia occurred in 5 cases(8.1%),leg numbness in 1 case(1.6%),and severe constipation in 1 case(1.6%),but no buttock and colorectal necrosis was recorded. Conclusion It is important to preserve one of the hypogastric arteries and avoid occlusion of both hypogastric arteries in EVR of IAAA.

Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(02):-
Objective To evaluate the efficacy of endovascular aortouniiliac repair (EVAR) combined with cross-femoral bypass grafting (CFBG) for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). Methods From May 1997 to February 2007, 8 patients with AAA, in whom bifurcated stent-graft could not be used because of complex iliac anatomy, were treated with EVAR using AUI stent-graft combined with CFBG. The endoleak, ischemic syndromes, patency of the bypasses, and blood supply of the lower limbs were observed after the operation. Results There were no perioperative mortalities in this series. One patient died of myocardial infarction 15 months after the operation. Three patients developed primary endoleak, and was cure spontaneously 1, 3, and 6 months postoperation. The 8 patients were followed up for a mean of 24 months (3-72 months), during which the patency rate of cross-femoral bypass was 100%. One year after the operation, 1 patient developed mild anastomotic stoma stenosis without ischemia of the lower limbs, but no limb ischemia. Conclusion In patients with complex iliac anatomy unfavorable for bifurcated endografting, EVAR using AUI combined with CFBG is safe and effective.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(07):-
Objective To observe the Smad5 gene knockout and induced-changes of auditory physiology and cochlea morphology in mouse, to explore whether Smad5 gene is a new gene related to hearing function. Methods Double blind control methods were used to detect the auditory threshold of auditory brainstem responses (ABR) in the mouse of Smad5 (+/+) to Smad5(+/-) and the cochlea morphology (cochlea paraffin-cut section and basal membrane spreading section). The hair cell count was also taken. Results As shown by ABR audiometry, the average hearing of Smad5 (+/-) mouse (aged 24 weeks) is 90.63?17.65 dB (SPL) and that of Smad5(+/+) mouse is 63?19.94 dB(SPL), which are of significant difference (P0.05). Conclusion Smad5(+/-) gene knockout can cause the mouse a auditory threshold decline in moderate or severe extent. Cochlea morphology indicated that hair cells (mainly outer hair cells) in mouse cochlea basal membrane became deficient. A mechanism of Smad5 gene knockout to caused the deafness and the deficiency of hair cells remained to be further studied.
