1.Effect of acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy for the stress reaction during postoperative anesthesia recovery period in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery

Objective:To observe the effect of acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy for the stress reaction during postoperative anesthesia recovery period in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery.Methods:A total of 120 patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery were included,and all patients were under trachea intubation and general anesthesia.The patients were randomized into an observation group and a control group,with 60 patients in each group.Patients in the control group received conventional anesthesia resuscitation,while patients in the observation group received acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy on the basis of conventional anesthesia resuscitation.Changes in the heart rate (HR),systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were observed at three time points including the end of the surgery (TO),the removal of the tracheal tube (T1) and 10 min after the removal of the tracheal tube (T2).The awakening and tube removal time,choking cough and restlessness,and adverse reactions (dizziness,nausea and vomiting) in 24 h post-surgery period were compared.Results:At T1 and T2,the comparisons of HR,SBP and DBP between the two groups showed statistical significance (all P<0.05).Intra-group comparisons showed that the HR,SBP and DBP of the control group at T1 and T2 were significant different from those at TO (all P<0.05).There were significant differences in the awakening time and tube removal time between the two groups (both P<0.05).The incidences of choking cough and restlessness were 8.3% and 3.3% respectively in the observation group,versus 53.3% and 30.0% in the control group,and the between-group comparisons showed statistical significance (both P<0.05).The incidences of dizziness,nausea and vomiting in 24 h post-surgery period were 3.3%,5.0% and 0.0% respectively in the observation group,versus 43.3%,33.3% and 25.0% in the control group,and the between-group comparisons showed statistical significance (all P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy can effectively regulate the stress reaction during postoperative anesthesia recovery period in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery,and maintain a stable internal environment.
2.Transcatheter closure of coronary artery fistula

Objective To explore the indication and the methodology of transcatheter closure of coronary artery fistula.Methods Altogether 17 cases for intervention,included 13 using the Cook corp coil(2 detachable and another 11 un-detachable);1 with the Pfm corp detachable coil;3 with the AGA corp Amplatzer-Duct.The other 26 cases underwent surgery. Results Intervention group,showed 3 failure cases because of selecting too small and un-detachable coil in early stage with final displacement.Fourteen cases were successful.Follow-up 3 years showed no residue shunt and other complications.All patients were successful with surgery.Conclusions Transcatheter closure of the coronary artery fistula is mild invasive,short hospitalization,safe,and effective under proper indications.
3.A preliminary study of stent grafts seeded by CD34~+ stem cells in venous system

Objective To investigate the effect of CD34+ stem cells seeded stent graft in venous system. Method Twelve mongrel dogs were randomized into 2 groups. Stent grafts covered with PTFE or Dacron were implanted into infrarenal vena cava through a delivery system. In each group, 4 stent grafts were seeded by autogenous bone marrow CD34+ cells, and 2 treated by autogenous blood only as control. The grafts were explanted at 2 weeks. Light and electron microscopy were used to examine endothelialization of neointima. CD34 and Ⅷ factor stain were applied to identify endothelial cells. Results All stent grafts were patent except for one Dacron stent without seeding. Light, electron microscopy, CD34 and Ⅷ factor stain demonstrated that confluent endothelial cells appeared on the neointima of seeded grafts. No endothelial cells were detected in the non-seeding grafts. Conclusions Rapid endothelialization of stent grafts can be achieved through bone marrow CD34+ cells seeding in venous systems.
4.Effects of Bile Adds on the Proteins, Enzyme Activities and Ion Permeability of Human Erythrocyte Membrane

Fresh healthy human erythrocytes were treated by four kinds of bile acid solutions (DC, GDC, C, and GC) at physiological and pathological concentrations of human plasma, and the membrane proteins, enzyme activities and permeability of cations were observed. The results showed that some components of the membrane cytoskeleton proteins disappeared, the activities of total ATPase and Gr-ATPase were distinctly increased with the increasing of bile acid concentrations, the activity of the membrane acetylcholinesterase was decreased with the increasing bile acid concentrations, the permeability of cations was increased with the increasing bile acid concentrations. The effect of the dihydroxy bile acids more stronger than that of the trihydroxy bile acids.
6.Osteogenetic ability of mouse spermatogonial stem cells cultured in vitro

BACKGROUND:Spermatogonial stem cells are a kind of adult stem cells, which have self-renewal and differentiation potential, and can be differentiated into specific cells in vitro, suggesting that the spermatogonial stem cells may be possibly differentiated into osteoblasts. But the related research has not been reported. OBJECTIVE:To observe the biological characterization and osteogenic process of mouse spermatogonial stem cells cultured in vitro. METHODS:Spermatogonial stem cells were obtained from the testicle of mice aged 15-20 days, and were cultured on the feeder layer from bone marrow stroma cells in vitro. When cultured for 3 days, the cells were cultured in the conditioned medium (experimental group) and basic medium (control group). The cells proliferation capability and osteogenic property were examined by phase-contrast microscope, alkaline phosphatase activity and type I col agen immunofluorescence staining. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Spermatogonial stem cells proliferated faster in the experiment group than in the control group. cells grew rapidly in colony-like shape in the conditioned medium at 3-6 days, the three-dimensional feeling enhanced, cellmass and clusters continued to increase in size, the extracellular matrix was increased in number and the cytoplasmic bridge was not obvious. After culture for 15 days, cells in the two groups were positive for alkaline phosphatase staining that the cytoplasmic membrane was dyed black. Under the fluorescent microscope, green fluorescence was visible in the experimental group, suggesting the cells in the experimental group was positive for type I col agen, but negative in the control group, which is similar with the biological characteristics of osteoblasts. These findings indicate that spermatogonial stem cells possess the osteogenic capability under induction conditions, which are expected to provide seed cells for bone tissue engineering.
7.The study of sweep pattern visual evoked potential acuity(SPVEP-A)and international standard visual acuity in amblyopic children

Objective To evaluate the clinical application of sweep pattern visual evoked potential in assessing visual acuity (SPVEP-A)of amblyopic children.Design Prospective clinical study.Participants 80 patients(148 case)of amblyopic children and 26 children(52 case)with normal vision.Methods The correlation were analysed of SPVEP-A and E acuity in 80 amblyopic children and of SPVEP-A and PVEP-A in 26 children of normal visual.SPVEP-A was recorded with UTAS-E 3000(LKC)using gratings of 25 differ- ent spatial frequency from 0.2 to 18.8cpd as stimulus.The response were averaged and DFT on the monitor display.SPVEP-A was de- termined by extrapolate to 0 response amplitude.Both transient PVEP-A and SPVEP-A were examined in 26 normal children.The ob- jective visual acuity in PVEP were determined with the highest spatial frequency which evoked a recognizable response.Main Out- come Measures SPVEP-A,PVEP-A and E acuity.Results SPVEP-A were from 0.35 to 0.9 among 80 patients with corrected E acu- ity from 0.1 to 0.8.The correlation coefficient of SVEP-A-I with E acuity was 0.602 .The correlation coefficient of SPVEP-A.between reproducibility detection was 0.448.The correlation between SPVEP-A and E acuity in amblyopic slightly was higher than middle and severe amblyopia(r=0.773 vs r=0.590).In 26 normal children a correlation coefficient of 0.679 was obtained between E acuity anti PVEP-A but 0.424 between E acuity and SPVEP-A.Higher evaluation or lower evaluation of E acuity was found in SPVEP-A in this study.Acuity was upostimated in lower scope of E acuity and underestimated in higher scope of E acuity.The reproducibility and vari- ation were not satisified.Conclusion The sweep VEP is a objective method of amblyopic screening.There is significant positive corre- lation between SPVEP-A and E,but its variability is more great,so we should improve its stability and positive rate uheriorly.
8.Analysis of selenium content in hair samples of children in Kaschin-Beck Disease areas in Gansu Province

Objective To compare selenium content in hair samples of children in Kashin-Beck Disease (KBD) areas and control areas,and to provide academic data for KBD control and prevention.Methods In 2011,Longnan,Qingyang,Dingxi City of KDB areas in Gansu Provines were selected as survey point,meanwhile,colleagues of Tianshui City and Lanzhou City were selected as control.Hair samples of children aged between 6 and 12 years were taken from each survey point to determine the hair selenium.After using the nitricperchloric mixed acid to digest the sample,the concentrations of selenium were determined by hydride generator atomic fluorescence spectrometry.Results Two hundred and fifty-four samples from KBD areas and 102 samples from control areas were collected.The hair selenium of KBD areas[(0.22 ± 0.07),(0.22 ± 0.00),(0.20 ± 0.07)mg/kg],were higher than the control areas[(0.32 ± 0.08),(0.42 ±0.11)mg/kg].After comparation of selenium content in every sampling point,we found the range of children's selenium content was relatively narrow in KBD areas (0.08-0.46 mg/kg).The minimum value and the maximum value in KBD areas were lower than that of control areas (0.15-0.51 mg/kg).A totle of 51.1% (182/356) of children was seriously lack of selenium,the hair selenium content was < 0.25 mg/kg.It was also found that Se content was not significantly different between boys and girls.Conclusions Children's selenium is deficient in KBD areas in Gansu.It is important to ensure salt supplement with selenium for a long period of time and through other ways to increase Selenium intake to control KBD.

Objective To explore the relation ship between expression of survivin gene in leukemia cells and its clinical effects, and to study the mechanism of survivin resist-apoptosis function in leukemia.Methods Survivin expression was detected by Western blots analysis and expressions of Fas and Caspase were examined by immunohistochemistry in 18 leukemia patients.Results Thirteen cases in peripheral blood mononuclear cell survivin positive expression was detected in 18 leukemia patients(72.2%), but no survivin expression in 10 normal persons. 0bjectlve To examine the metaphase II spindle and chromosome configurations of human oocytes cultured for different times after thawing.MethodsUsing slow.cooling and raid—thawing protocol combined with 0.3 mol/L sucrose and 1.5 mol/L 1,2-propanedio 1(1,2-PROH)to cryoprotect human mature oocytes(n=102),the 64 survival oocytes without abnormal zona pellucida and cytoskeletal were randomly assigned to three groups after thawing:group A:culture 1 hour(n=20),group B:culture 3 hour(n=22),group C:culture 5 hours(n=22),the flesh oocytes served as control group(n=18).Immunocytochefifical staining and fluorescence microscopy were used to assess the morphology of the metaphase II spindle and chromosome.Results(1)The normal spindle rates of groups A,B and C were 10%(2/20),46%(10/22)and 41%(9/22)respectively,significantly decreased compared with control group(83%,15/18;P<0.05).The rates of absent spindle in group A(45%,9/20)was significantly higher than control group(6%,1/18;P<0.01).Also,the rates of absent spindle in group A was higher than groups B(14%,3/20)and C(14%,3/20;P<0.05).However,no significant differences were observed in groups B and C(P>0.05).(2)A significant increase in abnormal chromosome rate was observed in group A(30%,6/20)compared to groups B(68%,15/22),C(64%,14/22)and control group(78%,14/18;尸<0.05).No differences in chromosome morphology were observed in groups B,C and control group(P>0.05).Conclusions The cryoproteetant protocol leads to a deleterious effect on the organization of the meiotic spindle and chromosome at MI stage.The 3—5 hours post—thawing incubation could permit restoration of the meiotic spindles and chromosome.
