Objective To compare the treatment effects and side events between chemoradiotherapy and radiotherapy alone for patients with primary cervical cancer. Methods Totally 197 patients with primary cervical cancer in our hospital from 2000 to 2006 were studied. They were divided into two groups: radiotherapy alone(RT)or cisplatin-based chemoradiotherapy(CRT).Group of RT included 100 patients who received external irradiation by ~(60)Co and intracavitary irradiation by ~(192)Ir.Group of CRT included 97 patients who received cisplatin-based chemoradiotherapy. The RT regimen was the same as group RT.Results The local control(CR+PR)in two groups had no statistic difference(P=0.500).The total 5 year survival rate in the two groups were 82% and 79%,with no significant difference(P=0.177);however,there was a significant difference for stage Ⅲ squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix, the 5 year survival rate being 56% and 84%,respectively(P
2.The radiation dose and protection during percutaneous vertebral augmentation
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;19(21):3409-3413
BACKGROUND:A large number of literatures have shown that surgeons expose to a higher radiation dose during puncture and bone cement injection in percutaneous vertebral augmentation. OBJECTIVE:To review the research progress in radiation doses and safeguard procedures in percutaneous vertebral augmentation. METHODS: By using percutaneous vertebral augmentation, radiation doses, radiation protective as key words, we retrieved articles related to radiological protection during percutaneous vertebral augmentation published from January 1995 to December 2014 in Wangfang database and PubMed database. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:One basic principle of radiation protection is that the radiation dose decreases rapidly with distance from the radioactive sources. Surgeons should maximize the distance from the radioactive sources as far as possible in case there is no effect on the operation. To optimize the setting and position of C-arm machine, wear protective devices and put lead shields as wel as computer navigation and radiation training in surgeons al can help to reduce the radiation doses during percutaneous vertebral augmentation. Remote bone cement injection device is easy to control but not increases the radiation doses. In addition, the influence of surgery bed on radiation dose remains to be further studied. We believe that with the in-depth research on radiological protection, vertebral augmentation technique wil be safer in clinical application.

Objective To study the expression and clinical significance of Survivin and PTEN in cervical carcinoma. Methods The expression of Survivin and PTEN in 60 cases of cervical carcinoma, 15 cases of CIN Ⅰ , 15 cases of CIN Ⅱ, 15 cases of CIN Ⅲ and 15 cases of normal cervical tissues were detected by immunohistochemical staining. Results The expression positive rates of Survivin were 86.67 %, 80.00 %,33.33 %, 20.00 % and 0, respectively, and those of PTEN were 21.67 %, 40.00 %, 80.00 %, 86.67 % and 100.00 % in cervical carcinoma, CIN Ⅲ, CIN Ⅱ, CIN Ⅰ and normal cervical tissues, respectively. The expression positive rates of Survivin were increased along with normal cervical epithelium, CIN Ⅰ, CIN Ⅱ,CIN Ⅲ and invasive carcinoma of cervix;while those of PTEN were inverse order.Compared with the expression positive rates of Survivin and PTEN protein in the CIN Ⅱ group, those in the CIN Ⅲ group had significant differences (P <0.01 and P <0.05, respectively). Expressions of Survivin and PTEN were correlated to the size of focus(P <0.05), the depth of tumor and pelvic lymphnode metastasis (P <0.05), but not to clinical staging, pathological types, pathological grading and age(P >0.05). There was a negative correlation between the expression of PTEN and Survivin in cervical carcinoma. Conclusion The expressions of Survivin and PTEN are correlated with invasion and metastasis of cervical carcinoma, and be related to clinical pathotology.Survivin and PTEN may play a important role in the formation, proliferation, differentuation and metastasis of cervical carcinoma. They may be used as markers of early diagnose, efficacy and prognosis evaluation.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2021;23(1):146-149
Gastric cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in China, and its pathogenesis is complex. At present, there is no good method for the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer. However, studies have shown that microRNA (miRNA) has abnormal expression in gastric cancer, which participates in the regulation of gastric cancer related genes, and has an impact on the occurrence, development, diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer. This paper aims to review the relationship between miRNA and the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer, as well as the drug resistance in the treatment, so as to lay the foundation for the follow-up research and clinical diagnosis and treatment.

BACKGROUND: Some studies in vitro have reported that there are CD30 positive T cells in immunological response of allogenic transplantation.OBJECTIVE: To detect the relationship between the level of serum CD30 (sCD30) and clinical rejection in the patients with or without kidney transplantation, and analyze the importance of sCD30 in the estimation of immune state, monitor of acute rejection, and judgment of prognosis. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: Clinical case analysis study was performed at Jiangsu People's Hospital between April 2004 and March 2007. PARTICIPANTS: 153 kidney transplantation cases comprising 103 males and 50 females, averagely aged 37 years. METHODS: 3 mL peripheral blood was obtained from recipients before transplantation (without immunosuppressive agent) and at 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, 14, 21, and 28 days. Serum was isolated from obtained blood and placed at -20 ℃. Soluble CD30 levels were detected using CD30 cytokine ELISA kit supplied by BenderMedSystems. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE: The relation between the soluble CD30 levels and rejection prior to and following transplantation.RESULTS: There was a significant relation in the sCD30 level between the patients with (n=17) and without acute rejection (n=136). The CD30 levels were 113.2 U/mL in the rejection group and 83.2 U/mL in the non-injection group (P < 0.01). No significant difference was determined between both groups in 5 days following surgery (P > 0.05). Significant difference were detected between both groups from 5 days following surgery (P < 0.01). There was no relation between the soluble CD30 level and the time of rejection and release after kidney transplantation (P > 0.05). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve demonstrated that soluble CD30 levels on day 5 post-transplantation could predict acute rejection (area under ROC curve: 0.850). Meanwhile, 100 U/mL was the optimal operational cut-off level to predict rejection (specificity: 85.0%; sensitivity: 83.6%). The patients with positive of soluble CD30 level showed a lower survival rate than those with negative CD30 level (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: The soluble CD30 levels contributed to predictive the acute rejection and prognosis of kidney transplantation.
