Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2017;37(9):352-353,356
Objective To observe and analyze the characteristics and trends of the liver and gallbladder damage caused by long-term use of anti schizophrenia drugs through the observation of the abdominal ultrasound. Methods From August 2013 to April 2016, the patients diagnosed as schizophrenia and met criterions were enrolled in our hospital. The observation group I included patients taking anti schizophrenia drug for 3 to 5 years. The observation group II included patients taking anti schizophrenia drug more than 5 years. In addition, the control group recruited healthy person who were over 30 years old and had never taken anti-schizophrenia drug. The change in ultrasound of liver and gallbladder were recorded and analyzed. Results The rate of cholecystolithiasis, chronic cholecystitis in observation group II were higher than those in the other two groups (P<0.05), while there had no significant difference between observation group I and control group. The rate of pure fatty liver in observation group II were higher than those incontrol group (P<0.05), while there had no significant difference between observation group I and observation group II, and there had no significant difference between observation group I and control group. There had no significant difference among three groups regarding as the rate of hepatic cyst and hepatic cavernous hemangioma. Conclusion Long-term use of anti-schizophrenia drugs could increase the risk ofcholecystolithiasis, chronic cholecystitis and pure fatty liver .
2.Applicability of capacity of sexual self-defense assessment scale in psychiatric patients without mental retardation.
Journal of Forensic Medicine 2013;29(6):414-418
OBJECTIVE:
To explore the applicability of Capacity of Sexual Self-defense Assessment Scale (CSSAS) in psychiatric patients without mental retardation.
METHODS:
Eighty-seven cases required for assessment of the capacity of sexual self-defense were collected and evaluated by trained professionals according to CSSAS, and the results were compared to the experts' opinions.
RESULTS:
The scores of three grades of capacity of sexual self-defense (none, limited and whole) were 5.97 +/- 5.83, 32.22 +/- 10.15 and 61.60 +/- 13.02, respectively, which were statistically significant among them (P < 0.01). The correlation coefficients between items and total score were 0.59 to 0.91, the Cronbach's alpha value was 0.96, the spilt half Cronbach's alpha value were 0.94 and 0.91, respectively, and the relation coefficient between them was 0.94. According to the original cut off scores, the Kappa value between scale results and experts' opinions was 0.32 (P < 0.01). By redefining the cut off scores, the Kappa value was improved to 0.84 (P < 0.01). Two factors were extracted by means of the factor analysis. The explanation rates of variance were 46.15% and 28.93%, respectively. The accuracy of retrospective cumulative square was 94.30%.
CONCLUSION
The CSSAS could be applied in the psychiatric expertise of the capacity of sexual self-defense in psychiatric patients without mental retardation; however, the cut off scores and the factor weight should be redefined.

Objective To explore the effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction (BYHWD) on vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and its receptor, Fetal liver kinase 1 (Flk1) in rats after focal cerebral ischemia. MethodsRats were randomly divided into following groups including Sham group, model group, Nimodipine group, and BYHWD group. The model of focal cerebral ischemia in rats was repro-duced by middle cerebral artery occlusion. Rats were ig administered and killed after operated, then the expression of VEGF and Flk1 and protein level of VEGF in brain tissue of every groups were measured by immunohistochemisty and enzyme linked immunosorbent assay, and the nervous function deficit scores were evaluated. ResultsThere were a few VEGF and Flk1 positive cells in normal brain tissue of rats. After focal cerebral ischemia the VEGF and Flk1 positive cells were increased. Compared to model group, Nimodipine and BYHWD significantly improved the neurological behavior performance, increased the numbers of VEGF and Flk1 positive cells, and enhanced the VEGF protein level (P

Objective To investigate the neuroprotective effects and mechanisms of 5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide ribonucleotide formyltransferase/ IMP cyclohydrolase(AICAR) supplement (AMPK activator) in different stages of neonatal rats sufferring from hypoxia-ischemia encephalopathy ( HIE). Methods Neonatal rat hypoxia-ischemia brain injury model was employed in this study. A total of 160 neonatal rats were distributed into five groups: sham, model control,AICAR30 min, AICAR24 h and AICAR72 h. The neuroprotective effects of AICAR supplement (30 min, 24 h, 72 h post operation) were compared by cresyl violet staining; Expressions of P-AMPK,AMPK in the brain tissue were measured by Western blotting.Foot-faults method was used to evaluate the long-term prognosis of the rats. Results Compared with the sham group, the survival of rats brain in model control group was significantly decreased [(100.0± 0.1)% and (45.3± 6.3)%, P< 0.05]. AICAR had neuroprotective effects when treated at 30 min and 24 h post operation, while the protective effects disappeared when treated later (72 h post operation) (P>0.05). Compared with the sham group, the expression of P-AMPK significantly increased about three times, while ATP level decreased close to the same. Conclusion Early AICAR treatment can protect hypoxia-ischemia brain injury by increasing AMPK-ATP level.

Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery 2009;8(3):184-186
Objective To summarize the experience in prevention and management of delayed-diagnosed injury in choledocho-pancreatico-duodenal junction. Methods The clinical data of 5 patients with injury in chole-docho-pancreatico-duodenal junction who had received surgery from 2000 to 2007 in Peking Union Hospital was summarized and analyzed retrospectively. All the 5 patients were diagnosed 24 hours after the injury. The injury was caused after endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (or endoscopic sphincterotomy) +endovascular stent placement in 4 patients and by vehicle accident in 1 patient. Results All the patients were treated conserva-tively for 24-72 hours, and peritonitis was not alleviated, and were subsequently transferred to surgery. Three patients received gastrostomy +choledochostomy +jejunostomy. The abdominal pain was alleviated in 1 patient, and 2 died of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome 5-6 weeks later. Two patients received duodenal diverticulariza-tion + gastrostomy + jejunostomy + Roux-en-Y choledachojejunostomy + Roux-en-Y gastrojejunostomy, and had good prognosis. Conclusion Duodenal diverticularization is a proper choice for patients with perforation combined with severe intraabdominal infection.
