2.Pay much attention to neovascular glaucoma caused by hypoperfusion retinopathy
Ophthalmology in China 2006;0(05):-
Neovascular glaucoma is a rare and severe complication of hypoperfusion retinopathy. The appearance of hypoperfu- sion retinopathy complicating neovascular glaucoma in ophthalmolscopy and fundus fluorescein angiography shows a special feature. Neovascular glaucoma occurs when new fibrovascular tissues proliferate onto the chamber angle and obstruct the trabecular meshwork. The stenosis or occlusion of internal carotid artery is the most common reason of hypoperfusion retinopathy in elder people.Early recog- nition and treatment of patients with carotid occlusive diseases may prevent more serious complications.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1982;0(03):-
To investigate the effect of calcium concentration in dialysate on the QT interval (QT) and QT interval dispersion (QTd) during hemodialysis(HD) in patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD), Ca 2+ concentrations of 1 25mmol/L (dCa 2+ 1 25), 1 5mmol/L (dCa 2+ 1 5) and 1 75mmol/L (dCa 2+ 1 75) in dialysate were given to 15 ESRD patients for five times. The QT and QTd were measured before and after the five HD sessions. The results showed: With the dCa 2+ 1 25 HD, serum Ca 2+ and plasma calcium were decreased (1 22?0 08 vs 1 17?0 07 mmol/L and 2 43?0 34 vs 2 28?0 16mmol/L, P 0 05). The changes in the QT correlated inversely with the changes in serum Ca 2+ and plasma calcium ( P

Objective] To observe the clinical effect of Yiyuan Shengjing Decoction on similar climacteric syndrome of breast cancer after treated with tamoxifen. [Method] Choose 60 cases of breast cancer, randomly divide them into control group 30 cases and treatment group 30 cases, the control one were treated with tamoxifen and oryzanol, the treatment one, with tamoxifen and Yiyuan Shengjing Decoction. After 4w, evaluate the efficacy, compare their clinical symptoms score, hormone levels and endometrium thickness, and calculate the clinical relieving rate. [Result] After treatment, both groups clinical symptoms were relieved more than before treatment, with difference of statistical meaning; comparing on clinical symptoms scores, the treatment was much less than control one, with statistical meaning; on clinical relieving rates, the treatment group reached 83.33%, while 26.67% for control one, both had difference of statistical meaning. The comparison of reproductive hormone levels and endometrium thickness, the difference had no statistical meaning. [Conclusion] Yiyuan Shengjing Decoction treating breast cancer similar climacteric syndrome after treated with tamoxifen had marked cure effect, without influencing reproductive hormone level and endometrium thickness.

Chinese Journal of Trauma 2011;27(6):551-554
Objective To detect the effect of deep hypothermia on the function of mitochondria in hippocampus after global ischemia in rats and to explore the protection mechanism. Methods The animal model of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) was established in rats that were then randomly divided into three groups,ie,control group, normothermia ischemia group and hypothermia ischemia group, eight rats per group. The mitochondria was extracted from the hippocampus of each rats for observing the mitochondrial respiratory function, the activities of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH),the cytochrome oxidese(CCO),the lnembrane fluidity and the content of intramitochondria free calcium and MDA. Resuits The content of intramitochondria free calcium and MDA in the normothermia ischemia group was increased significantly compared to the control group and that in the hypothermia ischemia group wag decreased significantly compared with the normothermia ischemia group(P<0.05).Respiratory state Ⅲ (R3),respiratory state IV(R4),P/O ratio and oxidative phosphorylation (OPR) in the normothermia ischemia group were decreased significantly compared to the control group (P<0.05).R3,R4,P/O ratio and OPR in the hypothermia ischemia group were increased significantly compared with the normothermia ischemia group (P<0.05).Membrane fluidity in the normothermia ischemia group wag decreased significantly compared to the control group (P<0.01),while that in the hypothermia ischemia group was increased significantly compared with the normothermia ischemia group(P<0.05).The activities of SDH and CCO in the normothermia ischemia group were decreased significantly compared to the control group (P<0.01),while those in the hypothermia ischemia group were increased significantly compared with the normothermia ischemia group (P<0.05). Conclusion Profound hypothermia exerts a protective effect on the function of mitochondria in the hippocampus after global ischemia in rats.

Objective To investigate the expression of aquaporin-8(AQP8)and apoptosis associated bcl-2 protein in human cervical carcinoma and their relationship. Methods The expression of AOP8 and bcl-2 protein in 74 cases of cervical carcinoma (46 cases of squamous-cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix,28 cases of adenocarcinoma of the uterine cervix),34 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN)and 15 cases of normal cervices were detected by immunohistochemical technique, and their clinical significance were analyzed. Results The expression of AQP8 and bcl-2 protein were detected in intracytoplasm of atypia cells in CIN.squamous-cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma of the uterine cervix. The positive rates of AQP8 and bcl-2 in squamous-cell carcinoma.adenocarcinoma,CIN and normal cervical epithelium were 98%,74%;61%,71%;71%,53%;53%,20%respectively.There were significant differences between squamous-cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix and other groups in AQP8(P<0.01),but no significant differences were found in any other groups. There were significant differences between squamous-cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix and CIN or normal cervical epithelium in bcl-2.so were between adenocarcinoma of the uterine cervix. The expression of AQP8 was positively correlated with bcl-2 in human cervical carcinoma(rs=0.463,P=0.000).Conclusions There is a close relationship between high expression of AQP8 and development of human cervical carcinoma. The expression of AQP8 protein is positively correlated with bcl-2 protein in human cervical carcinoma. AQP8 protein may have anti-apoptosis function.although the detailed mechanism in human cervical carcinoma remaias to be clarified.
