Effects of mannan-oligosaccharide (MOS) on the growth of Lactobacillus were investigated by pure culture of three swine originated Lactobacillus strains or co-culture with swine pathogenic E. coli. The pure culture results revealed that OD values and lactic acid concentration of three Lactobacillus strains in the MOS supplemented cultures were higher than those of the control group without MOS supplementation, a lower pH was observed for MOS supplement compared with that of the control group. Objective To observe the immediate hemodynamic effects of the intercoronary ischemic preconditioning on the coronary perfusion pressure.Methods The observational study recruited 17 patients who were hospitalized for stable coronary disease and had severe stenosis lesions (70％ ～ 85％ ) in one or two vessels per coronary angiography.They were randomized into ICPC ( n =8 ) group ( receiving two cycles of 1-min balloon inflation and 5-min reperfusion) and control group (n =9).Before interventional treatment,the ICPC group was given 2 cycles of intercomary ischemic preconditioning.The occlusive and non-occlusive pressures proximal and distal to the stenosis were collected before and after ICPC.Fractional flow reserve (FFR) was calculated upon the following equation:FFR =Pd/Pa ( Pa:hyperemic mean aortic pressure,Pd:hyperemic coronary pressure distal to the stenosis).Results Before and after ischemic preconditioning,coronary wedge pressure and FFR of ICPC group were significantly increased ( coronary wedge pressure was from [ 22.08 ± 19.14 ]mm Hg to [25.46 ±19.04]mm Hg,P=0.011;FFR.was from [70.30±16.05]％ to [77.53 ±13.42]％,P=0.001).The collateral flow was increased significantly.Coronary wedge pressure and FFR of control group did not improved obviously.There were significant differences in FFRs and coronary wedge pressures between ICPC and control groups.Conclusion Coronary ischemic preconditioning can improve coronary perfusion pressure,and rapidly increase the coronary pressure distal to the severe stenosis lesions.

OBJECTIVETo explore the diagnostic value of the radiologic characteristics of osteoporotic Kummell's disease.

METHODSTotal 16 patients with pathologically confirmed osteoporotic Kummell's diseases were reviewed from May 2010 to May 2012, including 4 males and 12 females with the mean age of 73.4 years (ranged, 67 to 83 years old). Radiologic imagings of all patients, including X-ray, CT and MRI, were analyzed retrospectively.

RESULTSIntravertebral linear clefts could be seen on the AP and lateral X-ray films of vertebrae. Sagittal and axial CT scans demonstrated the vacuum cleft phenomenon with liquid and air was identified within the vertebral body. Sagittal MRI showed the callapsed vertebral segment and the area of fluid signal with clear and intact border within the vertebral body. The fluid signal was low on T1-weighted images and high on T2-weighted images and stir images, which was corresponding to an intravertebral vacuum cleft.

CONCLUSIONThe radiologic characteristics of Kurmmell's diseases can provide valuable evidences for the early diagnosis.

Objective To provide valid data and useful genetic counseling in the clinical application of non‐invasive prenatal test (NIPT) ,fetal chromosomal disorder were screened by massive parallel sequencing and made a follow‐up study .Methods Preg‐nant women with Down screening in high‐risk were screened by NIPT ;NIPT verified high‐risk individuals were suggested for kary‐otyping ;and we follow up on whoever showed low risk by NIPT before and after their deliveries .Results (1)Totally 1 676 cases of pregnant women were tested by NIPT ,25 cases prompted to be abnormal ,with an abnormal rate of 1 .49% ,karyotype analysis re‐sults in 12 cases of abnormalit ,the accuracies of NIPT for T21 ,T18 ,XO ,XXY ,and XYY were 99 .93% ,100 .00% ,99 .66% , 100 .00% ,100 .00% respectively ;the accuracy of NIPT for women with advanced paternal age and twins were both 100 .00% ;kary‐otyping positive individuals underwent abortion ,which gives a prenatal intervention rate of 100 .00% .(2)Out of 1 651 cases of NIPT low risk testers ,1 468 cases were successfully followed up ,with a 88 .91% success rate .We found chromosome abnormality with one case of inversion of chromosome 9 (maternal) .(3)Ultrasound‐detection possessed 98 .17% accuracy and 7 .69% in detec‐tion rate;in high‐risk pregnant woman ,Down screening had an accuracy of 0 .88% and false positive rate of 99 .12% ;98 .71%women were avoided prenatal diagnosis via NIPT .Conclusion Compare to ultrasound and maternal plasma screening ,NIPT is a far more accurate prenatal screening approach .To build effective follow‐up and service systems of NIPT is necessary to reduce birth de‐fects in medical institutions .

OBJECTIVETo study the role of trisomy 8 in pathogenesis and progression of hematologic disease with trisomy 8.

METHODSThe clinical data on 38 cases with trisomy 8 were investigated retrospectively. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) using Spectrum Orange labeled chromosome 8 centromere specific probe was carried out to detect trisomy 8 in 10 cases.

RESULTSThirty-two of 38(84.2%) cases with trisomy 8, and fourteen of 17(82.4%) cases with trisomy 8 as the sole chromosome aberration were myeloid disorders such as myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), acute myelocytic leukemia (AML), chronic myelocytic leukemia (CML). The incidence of trisomy 8 was higher in myeloid disease than in lymphocytic disease (5% vs 1.3%); the incidence of trisomy 8 was higher in acute monocytic leukemia than in other AML (6.1% vs 2.4%), and the incidence of trisomy 8 in chronic myelomonocytic leukemia( CMML) was higher than that in other myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) (25% vs 13.2%); 17 cases had trisomy 8 as the sole chromosome aberration, 21 cases had other additional chromosome aberrations. The chromosome aberration was confirmed by FISH in 10 cases with trisomy 8 as the sole chromosome aberration. Eleven cases were treated with chemotherapy, among them only 10 cases data were available. Seven cases acquired complete remission but 3 of them were M3, the other 3 cases had no response after two courses of chemotherapy.

CONCLUSIONTrisomy 8 may play an important role in the pathogenesis and progression of the hematological disease, especially myeloid disease. Trisomy 8 might be related with differentiation abnormality of monocyte.

Objective To introduce the application experience of Leica CM1950 automatic constant temperature freezing microtome in frozen section.Methods Cooling time and temperature were determined based on the natures of submitted masses,and some techniques were involved in the rapid section staining and diagnosis.Results The submitted masses after using this microtome gained advantages in freezing speed,few ice crystal,easy operation and high quality,and facilitated accurate pathologic diagnosis.Conclusion Leica CM1950 automatic constant temperature freezing microtome has double compressor and semiconductor refrigeration units,can set corresponding freezing temperature for different organizations and provide high-quality frozen section for accurate and rapid intraoperative pathological diagnosis.
