1.Relationship between liver X receptor (LXR) expression and hepatic glucose metabolism in the insulin resistant obese rats
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2011;27(8):677-679
Twenty-seven male SD rats were assigned to 3 groups: control, obese, and obese with diabetes groups. Serum corticosterone was determined and euglycemic-hyperinsulinemic clamp was carried out. Expressions of liver X receptor ( LXR), 11 β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 1 ( 11 β-HSD1 ), and glucocorticoid receptor (GR) were determined by real-time PCR. Both groups of obese rats were insulin-resistant, with up-regulated LXR mRNA and down-regulated 11 β-HSD1 mRNA( both P<0.05 ).
2.The expression of LXR and its impacts on hepatic glucose metabolism in different glucose metabolic statuses in rats
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2011;27(2):148-151
Objective To investigate the mechanism of liver X receptor(LXR)signal pathway in regulating glucose metabolism by observing the variety of LXR expression and its impacts on regulating the mRNA expression of PEPCK and GCK, the key enzyme of hepatic glucose metabolism in various glucose metabolic status in rats. Methods SD rats were chosen and divided into four groups:the CON group, the induced DM group, the OB group, and the induced OB+DM group. For each group of rats, body weight, blood glucose, serum triglycerides, and cholesterol were measured. Then the rats were sacrificed and the livers were collected and studied. Real-time PGR was used to measure the expressions of LXR mRNA, PEPCK mRNA, and GCK mRNA in the livers. Finally, the Western Blot assay was used to measure the liver LXR protein expression. Results The expression of LXR mRNA was significantly higher in DM,OB, and OB+DM groups than in CON group(P<0.05).The Western blot results showed that the levels of protein were in accordance with the mRNA expression. Comparing to the CON and the OB groups, the PEPCK mRNA expression of the OB+DM and the DM groups was significantly higher, while the GCK mRNA expression of these two groups was significantly lower(P<0.05). Comparing to the CON group, the PEPCK mRNA expression of the OB group was significantly lower, while the GCK mRNA expression of OB group was significantly higher(P<0.05).Conclusions During non-diabetic phase, LXR could act as a protective receptor for glucose metabolism and keep glucose homeostasis by regulating the key enzymes of the hepatic glucose metabolism. While in the diabetic phase, the protective receptor LXR failed to reverse the change of the related enzymes caused by insulin deficiency, and finally the plasma glucose level was raised.
4.Study on Computed Tomographic Brain Scan Quantitative Evaluation on Newborn of Abnormal Prognosis with Perinatal Hypoxic Brain Damage
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(21):-
Objective To analyze the relation between the CT changes of ventricular volume and prognosis in newborn of perinatal hypoxic-ischemic brain damage. Methods From Jan. 2002 to Dec. 2006, 105 newborns with perinatal hypoxic-ischemic brain damage (moderate to severe) were divided into 2 groups (group A with nervous system sequel and group B without nervous system sequal). Brain CT was performed in 24 hours after admission in all cases and at 1 and 3-month time point in some cases according to their convalescence condition. Huckman index, the third ventricular width on CT images of various time points were measured and calculated by radiologist. The relations between the values and prognosis were analyzed statistically. Results The huckman index increased gradually with rehabil (P

Objective:To investigate the application value of thromboelastography (TEG) in choosing antiplatelet drug for patients with cerebral arterial thrombosis. Methods: 100 new patients with cerebral arterial thrombosis, who received single antiplatelet therapy after received dual antiplatelet therapy (aspirin and clopidogrel) in acute stage (14d), were randomly divided into observation group (50cases)and control group (50cases). According to different method of choosing drug, patients of control group randomly were implemented different single antiplatelet drug, while patients of observation group received more sensitive antiplatelet drug based on TEG results. The follow-up observation about recurrent situation of cerebral arterial thrombosis for the two groups were carried out in further study. Results: In one year, the recurrence rate of cerebral arterial thrombosis of observation group (6%, 3/50) was significantly lower than that of control group (20%, 10/50) (x2=4.332,P<0.05). The differences of recurrence rate between different antiplatelet drug in intra-group were not statistically significant. Conclusion: TEG can efficiently evaluate the therapeutic effect of antiplatelet drug, and guide the selection for drug so as to reduce the recurrence rate of cerebral arterial thrombosis.
7.The effect of intrauterine growth restriction on the development of brain function in premature infants
Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2017;35(7):525-528,536
Objective To explore the effect of intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) on the development of brain function in premature infants. Methods A total of 110 premature infants of gestation age of 32-36 weeks were monitored by NicoletOne neonatal cerebral function monitor within 72 hours after birth during January 2015 to February 2016. There were 50 small for gestational age infants (SGA) and 60 appropriate for gestational age infants (AGA). They were continuously monitored for 4-6 hours every time, and the indices of aEEG continuity, sleep wake cycle (SWC), inter-burst interval (IBI), minimum and maximum voltage were compared between two groups. Results The frequency of aEEG continuity, the rate of SWC, and the maximum and minimum voltage in SGA group were all lower than those in AGA group, while the IBI was longer than that in AGA group, and there were significant differences (P<0.05). The frequency of aEEG continuity, the rate of SWC, IBI, and the minimum and maximum voltage were similar (all P> 0.05) among birth weight

Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 2003;0(01):-
Objective To compare the clinical results between living related and cadaveric donor renal transplantation in the same immunosuppressive regimen and HLA match. Methods Twelve cases of living related donor renal transplantation and 22 cases of cadaveric donor renal transplantation were analyzed retrospectively. The 1-, 3-year patient/graft survival rate, renal function and 1-year acute rejection rate were analyzed respectively. Results No renal function injury and surgical complications were found for living donors during the follow-up period. In living donor group and cadaveric donor group, 1-year acute rejection rate was 16.7 % and 22.7 % respectively (P 0.05). Renal function in living donor group was better than that in cadaveric donor group (P

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2014;(6):550-553
Intracranial artery stenosis is one of the main causes inducing transient ischemic attack (TIA) or cerebral ischemic stroke. Being a minimally-invasive and reliably-effective technique, intracranial artery stent angioplasty has brought about a new approach for the treatment of intracranial artery stenosis , and thus provides more opportunities to the patients who are not suitable for intracranial vascular bypass surgery. However, the higher occurrence of perioperative complications caused by stent angioplasty should be seriously taken into consideration by clinical physicians. In order to reduce the occurrence of complications , in this paper the perioperative complications of stent angioplasty for intracranial artery stenosis are analyzed , and the therapeutic strategies as well as the proper approaches are discussed.
