Objective To statistically analyze clinical research literature on acupuncture treatment of gouty arthritis, explore regularities in its point selection and provide a basis for clinical point selection and reasonable point combination.Method Gouty arthritis, acupuncture, warm needling moxibustion, electroacupuncrue and fire needling were used as key words. January 1990 to May 2014 China HowNet (CNKI) full-text database and Wanfang academic periodical full-text database were searched to retrieve, sort out and analyze clinical literature on acupuncture treatment of gouty arthritis at home and abroad. Acupoints included in the literature were sorted out. Statistical analysis was made of the categories, meridians, use frequencies and positions of selected acupoints.Result One hundred and thirty-five articles with a total of 120 acupoints were included. From the analysis of point selection, the acupoints most frequently used to treat gouty arthritis were, arranged in order, Taichong (91), Sanyinjiao (87), Zusanli (80), Yinlingquan (58), Quchi (52), Taixi (51), Yanglingquan (45), Xuehai (44), Taibai (44) and Hegu (44). From the analysis of pertaining meridians, the meridians of more frequently used acupoints were the spleen meridian of foot-taiyin (323), the stomach meridian of foot-yangming (209), the large intestine of hand-yangming (143), the liver meridian of foot-jueyin (140), the gallbladder meridian of foot-shaoyang (134), the kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin (84) and the bladder meridian of foot-taiyang (80). From the analysis of point selection from different places, the part where acupoints were most distributed was the lower limb. Conclusion For acupuncture treatment of gouty arthritis, local and along-meridian point selections are main ones, selected points are relatively scattered and often located in the lower limb, and point selection is partly combined with syndrome differentiation, which provide a clinical reference.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2015;35(11):1155-1158
OBJECTIVETo explore a safe and effective scheme of analgesic for labor.
METHODSEighty-four primiparas without contraindication of vaginal delivery were divided into an observation group and a control group, 42 cases in each one. In the observation group, the acupoint injection was given at Zusanli (ST 36) combined with electroacupuncture (EA) at Hegu (LI 4) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6) till the cervical opening at the end of first stage labor. In the control group, the routine respiratory instruction was applied. In 5 min, 10 min and 60 min of acupuncture (the same time points in the control group) as well as at the end of the first and second stage labor, the analgesic effect was assessed for the primiparas of the two groups. The labor stages, adverse reactions, postpartum hemorrhage, postpartum urine retention, newborn asphyxia rate and usage rate of oxytocin were compared between the two groups.
RESULTSIn the observation group, in 5 min, 10 min and 60 min of acupuncture as well as at the end of the first and second stages, the visual analogue scale (VAS) was lower apparently as compared with the control group at the corresponding time points (all P < 0.05). The differences in the time limit in the active period, the second and third stages were not significant between the two groups (all P > 0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions and the usage rate of oxytocin were lower than those in the control group [2.4% (1/42) vs 31.0% (13/42); 2.4% (1/42) vs 23.8% (10/42), both P < 0.05]. The differences in postpartum hemorrhage, postpartum urine retention and newborn asphyxia rate were not significant between the two groups (all P > 0.05).
CONCLUSIONThe combination of acupoint injection and EA is the effective analgesic scheme for labor. This scheme effectively alleviates labor pain and has no maternal and child complications.

8.Effects of Quercetin on Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cell Undergoing Endothelial-to-mesenchymal Transition Induced by TGF-β1
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2017;24(2):65-69
Objective To investigate the effectsof quercetin on human umbilical vein endothelial cell (HUVEC)-12 undergoing endothelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EndMT) induced by TGF-β1; To discuss its mechanism of action. Methods Cell activity of intervening by quercetin with different concentrations and TGF-β1 for 72 h was detected by CCK-8 method;RT-PCR and immunofluorescence staining were used to detect the transition of endothelial and stromal markers; Western blot was used to detect the signal transduction pathway; RT-PCR was performed to detect the transcription factors that play crucial roles in the process of transformation. Results The results of RT-PCR and immunofluorescence double staining showed that TGF-β1 (10 ng/mL) stimulated HUVEC-12 cells for 72 h to induce fibroblast phenotype, showing more interstitial markers and less endothelial markers;Western blot and RT-PCR results showed that quercetin inhibited the phosphorylation of smad2/3 in a concentration-dependent manner; After TGF-β1 stimulation, the downstream transcription factors EndMT of snail1, twist1, twist2, ZEB1, and ZEB2 significantly increased, while 100 μmol/L quercetin could down-regulate the five downstream transcription factors. Conclusion Quercetin has anti-fibrosis effects through inhibiting HUVEC-12 cells undergoing EndMT.
9.Therapeutic Observation of Scalp plus Body Acupuncture for Urticaria
Shanghai Journal of Acupuncture and Moxibustion 2017;36(1):77-80
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of scalp plus body acupuncture in treating urticaria.Method Eighty urticaria patients were randomized into a treatment group of 42 cases and a control group of 38 cases. The treatment group was intervened by scalp plus body acupuncture, while the control group was treated with conventional body acupuncture. The two groups were treated once every other day, 10 sessions as a treatment course. The symptoms and signs scores and serum immunoglobulin E (IgE) level were observed before the treatment and after 2 treatment courses, and the clinical efficacies were also compared between the two groups.Result The total effective rate and recovery rate were respectively 92.9% and 61.9% in the treatment group, versus 76.3% and 36.8% in the control group, and the between-group differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After the treatment, the symptoms and signs scores significantly declined in both groups (P<0.05), and the symptoms and signs scores in the treatment group were markedly different from those in the control group (P<0.05). The serum IgE level in the treatment group after the intervention was significantly lower than that before the intervention (P<0.05). After the treatment, the serum IgE level in the treatment group was significantly different from that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Scalp plus body acupuncture is an effective method in treating urticaria.
