ObjectiveTo explore the influence factors of prognosis of spinal cord injury patients. MethodsFollow-up data of 121 cases with spinal cord injury was analysed with retrospective cohort study.ResultsThe highest recover rate was in the patients who accepted the special rehabilitation therapy,while that of recovering two class was in the patients who accepted the magnetic stimulation.Conclusions Special recovering cure and magnetic stimulation can surely promote recovery of spinal cord injury patients.

ObjectiveTo explore the correlation between open field test(OFT) and light-dark box (LDB),as two animal models of state anxiety in Kunming mice.MethodsThe behavior of adult,male,Kunming mice in OFT and LDB was recorded by sequence,for five minutes,with a one-week inter-trial interval.The following parameters were evaluated:percentage of time exploring in the OFT central area( OFT-Ctime％ ) ; percentage of squares crossing in the OFT central area( OFT-Ccross％ ) ; total number of squares crossing in OFT(OFT-Cross) ;total number of rears in the OFT(OFT-Rear) ; number of fecal boli in OFT(OFT-FB) ; percentage of time exploring in the LDB light area( LDB-Ltime％ ) ; percentage of squares crossing in the LDB light area( LDB-Lcross％ ) ;and percentage of rears in the LDB light area( LDB-Lrear％ ) ; transitions between two areas in LDB( LDB-Transition) ; total number of squares crossing in LDB(LDB-Croas) ; total number of rears in LDB(LDB-Rear) ; number of fecal boli in LDB (LDB-FB).Subsequently,factor analysis,cluster analysis and correlation analysis were calculated for these parameters.ResultsFactor analysis and cluster analysis of variances from either OFT or LDB revealed a three behavioral dimensions:anxiety factor ( loaded by OFT-Ctime％,OFT-Ccross％ or LDB-Ltime％,LDB-Lcross％,LDB-Lrear％ ),activity factor ( loaded by OFT-Cross,OFT-Rear or LDB-Transition,LDB-Cross,LDB-Rear) and emotionality factor(loaded by OFT-FB or LDB-FB).While all the variances from both OFT and LDB in combination were analyzed,it could be seen as five components:' LDB-anxiety factor ( loaded by LDBLtime％,LDB-Lcross％ and LDB-Lrear％ ),' OFT-anxiety factor ( loaded by OFT-Ctime％ and OFT-Ccross％ ),'LDB-activity factor (loaded by LDB-Transition,LDB-Cross and LDB-Rear),'OFT-LDB-emotionality factor( loaded by OFT-FB and LDB-FB) and 'OFT-activity factor (loaded by OFT-Cross and OFT-Rear).Good correlation were found between OFT/LDB factors alone and in combination,such as OFT-emotionality factor and LDB-emotionality factor(Pearson =0.383,P＜0.05),LDB-anxiety factor and 'LDB-anxiety factor( Pearson =0.989,P＜0.01 ),OFT-anxiety factor and 'OFT-anxiety factor( Pearson =0.934,P ＜ 0.01 ),LDB-activity factor and 'LDB-activity factor ( Pearson =0.956,P ＜ 0.01 ),OFT/LDB-emotionality factor and ' OFT-LDB-emotionality factor ( Pearson =0.835,P＜0.01 ;Pearson =0.696,P＜0.01 ),OFT-activity factor and 'OFF-activity factor( Pearson =0.926,P＜0.01 ).ConclusionEither OFT or LDB comprised three behavioral dimensions:anxiety factor,activity factor and emotionality factor; however,it was difficult to establish face validity as a point-to-point concordance between OFT and LDB.Attention should be paid to heterogeneity of animal models when OFT and LDB were in combination as a behavionomics to evaluate anxiolytics in Kunming mice.

To clarify the meaning, role and significance of the new idea of the modern basic theory of traditional chinese medicine, We clarified its origin and evolution starting from the basic concept of idea in this paper, re-vealed the basic connotation and relationship of ideas, scientific ideas, Chinese medicine ideas, and the new ideas of the modern basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine, and tried to give proper definitions; summarized three roles of scientific ideas. According to this basis, we demonstrated the new idea is the scientific ideas with core spirit run-ning through rational questioning, scientific testing, research and conclusion being accepted three-point line cen-tral interlocking; and have three roles changing the theory of traditional chinese medicine, guiding the innovative research on chinese medicine and elevating the scholars' thoughts. We proposed yin and yang to refer to the hypothesis of body's physiology and pathology and prevention and treatment effects, given an empirical analysis a feasible way of medicine and philosophy separation and yin and yang turning to medicine; displayed the guidance of new idea and to show the scientific connotation and scientific value of the theory of traditional Chinese medicine.

This article was aimed to study the factors associated with sleep quality of anger-out and anger-in population based on the frequent pattern-tree (FP-Tree) growing algorithm with data mining. The algorithm of structuring frequent model FP-tree and mining frequent itemsets were designed. The database information scanned was recorded by using FP-Tree growing algorithm through state-trees. The frequent itemsets met minimum support required was generated through reducing the search space of project sets and scanning database only one. The data mining of all factors associated with emotional diseases was actualized. The results showed that factors associated with sleep quality of anger-out and anger-in population were disturbance in respiration, cough or snoring, feeling cold, hot or nightmares. The total time for program analysis was 2 seconds. It was concluded that data mining algorithm based on FP-Tree frequent itemsets can effectively realize the useful information receiving from factors associated with emotional diseases.

Objective To explore the effect of chronic compound stress on serum adiponectin level and AdipoR2 expression in rats.Methods Forty male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into two groups:the stress group underwent chronic compound stress and the control group was fed normally.After 8 weeks of stress or feeding,the serum adiponectin,blood glucose ,insulin resistance and HbA1 C,HDL-C,LDL-C,triglyceride and total cholesterol were measured.Results ①After 8 weeks of stress,the score of open-field behaviors and 24-h urocortisol were significantly different between the stress and control groups (32.0 ± 8.6 vs.52.0 ± 12.7,5.8 ± 0.4 vs.(5.3 ±0.1 ) ng/L,repectively; P ＜0.05 or 0.01 ) ;②After 8 weeks of stress,the adiponectin,total cholesterol ,triglyceride,HDL-C,InIR and HbA1 C were significantly different between the two groups (P ＜ 0.05 or 0.01 ) ;③After 8 weeks of stress,there were significant difference on the expression of AdipoR2mRNA and protein between the two groups (P ＜0.01 ) ,with the expression of AdipoR2mRNA of 0.67 ±0.04 and 1.00 ±0.11 and the expression of protein of 0.73±0.02 and 1.00 ± 0.04 in the stress and control group,respectively.Adiponectin was negatively related with HbA1 C,LDL-C and IR ( r = - 0.26,- 0.88 and - 0.37,P ＜ 0.05 or 0.01 ),and positively related with HDL-C ( r =0.78 ,P ＜0.01 ).Conclusions In rats,chronic compound stress decreases the level of serum adiponectin and the expression of AdipoR2 in liver.

Objective To evaluate the effects of dexmedetomidine-propofol-fentanyl combined anesthesia on somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs) and motor evoked potentials (MEPs) in patients undergoing cervical spine surgery. Methods Thirty-six patients undergoing cervical spine surgery were randomly divided into 2 groups (n = 18 each): propofol-fentanyl combined anesthesia group (group C) and dexmedetomidine-propofol-fentanyl combined anesthesia group (group D). Anesthesia was induced with TCI of propofol and iv injection of fentanyl.After the consciousness disappeared, a laryngeal mask airway was placed and the patients were ventilated. In group D, dexmedetomidine 0.5 μg/kg was injected over 10 min after the consciousness disappeared, followed by an infusion at a rate of 0.5 μg·kg-1 ·h-1 until the end of surgery. In group C, the equal volume of normal saline was administered instead of dexmedetomidine. SEPs (P15-N20) amplitudes and latency were measured and recorded before dexmedetomidine administration and at 10 min of dexmedetomidine infusion. The no-elicitation of MEPs was recorded. Results Compared with group C, there was no significant difference in P15-N20 amplitudes and latency in group D. The no-elicitation rate of MEPs in two groups was 0. Conclusion Dexmedetomidine-propofol-fentanyl combined anesthesia does not affect SEPs and MEPs in patients undergoing cervical spine surgery.

Objective To investigate the clinical effects,feasibility,points for attention and complications of treating distal radial fractures through minimally invasive palmar locking plate.Methods A total of 22 patients with distal radial fractures managed by minimally invasive palmar locking plate from August 2009 to August 2010 were enrolled in the study.According to AO classification,there were five patients with type A2 fractures,three with type A3,four with type B1,seven with type B3,two with type C1 and one with type C2.Two vertical or parallel palmar incisions of 2 cm long were performed.The distal transverse incision was along the proximal wrist crease,while the distal and proximal vertical incisions were close to the radial side of flexor carpi radialis.Then,palmar locking plate was inserted through deep pronator quadratus.Results Follow-up period was 10-18 months(mean,12 months).According to Dienst function evaluation criteria,the results were excellent in 13 patients,good in six,fair in three and poor in zero,with excellence rate of 86％.Complications were as follows:one patient had delayed healing of proximal wrist crease incision;one patient had numbness of thenar eminence and the symptom was disappeared three months postoperatively;two patients remained pain on ulnar side of the wrist joint;two patients had limited function of the wrist joint.Conclusions Minimally invasive palmar locking plate is safe,mini-invasive and reliable when treating distal radial fractures,which is conducive to early functional exercise.Furthermore,the method achieves satisfactory appearance of the incision which meets the minimal invasion and thus deserves clinical practice.

Among them, part I contains 3 articles about new concepts, new theories, new disciplines; part II contains 5 articles about new ideas, new norms, how to clear concept, how to verify hypotheses, why to evaluate theory; part III contains 12 articles about concept of wholism updating, treatment based on syndrome differentiation development, viscera-state doc-trine innovation, pathogeny, etiology, pathogenesis, prevention, principle of treatment, knowledge structure, cogni-tion structure , monographic study , 5-year outlook . Published article on this issue is the first one belong to new concept of part I. In this paper, we want to describe the denotation and connotation of the new concept of the modern basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine from three aspects of a concept: a label , a theoretical definition , and an operational definition learning from the international academic understanding of scientific concepts, demonstrate the necessity of theoretical premise to the research and establishment of the modern basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine and the need to build on , illustrate the inevitable trend toward modern science . The whole article contains profound meaning and a certain breakthrough and innovation. We are expected to cause concerns and discusses of experts and scholars through this article .

We present that the modern basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine is a new science in this article. To demonstrate the problem new discipline faced and needed to be understood, firstly we want to clear the related concepts of discipline and traditional Chinese medicine from an international perspective achieving the original inten-tion of deepening the research field, forming a discipline branch and towards modern teaching. Secondly, we explore the discipline classification system and in which the location of traditional Chinese medicine and theory of traditional Chinese medicine discipline, and then explore the discipline overall regularity of occurrence, development and demise focusing on regularity and evaluation criteria reveal of medicine and traditional Chinese medicine disciplines. On this basis, we demonstrate the discipline property and location of new scientific disciplines of modern basic theo-ry of traditional Chinese medicine, subjects and fields, direction and meaning and then draw a credible conclusion in accordance with deductive reasoning.
