1.Changes of Serum Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor in Children with Henoch - Schonlein Purpura
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To investigate the changes of serum vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and its effects on pathoge nesis in children with Henoch - Schonlein purpura(HSP). Methods Serum VEGF was detected by sandwich ELISA in 20 children with HSP in acute phase and 15 children in remission phase and 16 normal children. Results The serum VEGF levels in children with HSP in acute phase(533.85? 127.63) ng/L were significantly higher than those in remission phase (160.47 ? 37.39) ng/L and normal control (68. 93 ? 19. 16) ng/L. One - way analysis of variance between them was significant difference ( F = 158. 86 P

Objective:To study the clinical significance of examining serum pyridinoline cross-linked N-telopeptides of type I collagen(NTx) and serum bone sialoprotein(BSP) in diagnosing bone metastasis of lung cancer and breast cancer. Methods:A total of 105 patients treated in the Oncology Department of Changhai Hospital were included in this study.Patients were divided into 2 groups:bone metastasis(n=50) and non-bone metastasis groups(n=55).The levels of serum NTx and serum BSP were measured by ELISA.Results:The levels of serum NTx and serum BSP in patients with bone metastasis were significantly higher than in those without bone metastasis(P

Journal of International Oncology 2010;37(9):672-675
Malignant gliomas are the most common intracranial tumors, with a highly invasive nature and a poor prognosis. The invasion of malignant gliomas is a complicate and consecutive multi-step process that includes adhesion, degradation and migration and involves various factors such as cell adhesion molecules, enzymes, and cytokines. Research on the invasive properties of malignant gliomas will advance our understanding of their underlying biological behavior and improve clinical treatment.

Objective:To assesss the effectiveness of dapoxetine in the treatment of premature ejaculation. Methods:Both English and Chinese studies involving men with prematrue ejaculation who were treated with dapoxetine from the Cochrane Library,MEDLINE,EMBASE and CNKI,CBM,VIP between 1979 and 2009.were included in the randomized controlled trials(RCTs) and the data processed by RevMan.Results:Five RCTs involving 4433 patients were included in the Meta analysis,of which 3 were of grade A and 2 were of grade B according to the quality evaluation of methodology.Intravaginal ejaculatory latency time(IELT),patient-reported global impression of change(PGI),satisfaction with sexual intercourse(SWSI),perceived control over ejaculation(PCOE),personal distress related to ejaculation(PDRE) were used for assessment.Meta analysis based on included studies of patients having been treated with dapoxetine for 9-24 weeks showed that:(1) the difference of the patients' IELT between treatment group and control group was statistically significan [P

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2000;0(04):-
Objective To investigate relationship between utrophin and dystrophin in muscle of patients suffered from several neurological muscular diseases. Methods Muscle biopsies of 26 cases of patients suffered from 8 categories neurological muscular diseases and 2 cases of control were analysed for utrophin and dystrophin by immunofluorescence experiments. Results In a majority of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) patients, their sarcolemma revealed absent, weak or discontinuous fluorescence for dystrophin. In non-DMD muscular dystrophies, lipid storage myopathy, myotonic dystrophy, inflammatory myopathies, neurogenic amyotrophy, polymyositis, mitochondrial encephalomyopathy, myogenic amyotrophy, immunofluorescence reactivity for dystrophin were strongly exhibited in entire sarcolemma. In normal biopsy sample, strong immunofluorescence reactivity for dystrophin was identified in entire sarcolemma, while weak and discontinuous fluorescence was identified on a minority of sarcolemma of DMD patients with severely reduced dystrophin. There was no immunofluorescence reactivity for utrophin in sarcolemma of DMD patients with moderate decreased dystrophin,non-DMD muscular dystrophies and other 6 categories of neurological muscular diseases, nor in sarcolemma of normal biopsies. Conclusions utrophin is expressed in sarcolemma of DMD patients, who have severely reduced dystrophin simultaneously. utrophin is absent in sarcolemma of other categories of neurological muscular diseases including non-DMD muscular dystrophies with normal dystrophin expression and DMD patients with moderately decreased dystrophin.

Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2002;0(08):-
Objective To evaluate the effects of Lipo prostaglandin E1(Lipo-PGE1) on the lower limb blood vessel in diabetic patients. Methods The study was performed in 36 patients with diabetes related lower limb vascular disease. Before and after Lipo-PGE1 treatment for 28 days, vascular diameter and blood flow velocity of femoral artery, popliteal artery, posterior tibial artery and dorsal pedal artery were measured by Doppler ultrasonography examination. Results After the treatment with Lipo-PGE1,the vascular diameters of femoral artery, popliteal artery, posterior tibial artery and dorsal pedal artery were dilated;and there were significant differences in posterior tibial artery and dorsal pedal artery. After the treatment with Lipo-PGE1,blood flow velocity of femoral artery, popliteal artery, posterior tibial artery and dorsal pedal artery were increased, however, there were no significantly statistical differences. After the treatment with Lipo-PGE1,all the patients feel well.Painless walking distance and maximal walking distance of 18 patients with intermittent claudication were increased. Conclusion Lipo-PGE1 causes a significant improvement of diabetes related lower limb vascular disease.Furthermore, the results demonstrated the major effects on posterior tibial artery and dorsal pedal artery.Lipo-PGE1 can dilate the smaller artery, which is important and helpful for patients to improve symptoms and signs.
