1.The etiology and diagnosis of occupational asthma.
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(04):-
In this review, the pathogenesis, clinical presentations, diagnosis of occupational asthma(OA)are discussed. The agents that cause OA are more than 300 kinds of high and low molecular-weight substances. The diagnosis of OA is generally established on the basis of a suggestive occupational history, symptoms, abnormal lung function and lab examination.Specific inhalation of bronchial challenge(SIC)comes closest to a gold standard test for some agents causing(sensitizer-induced)OA.
2.Is atypical monkeypox a sexually transmitted disease?
China Tropical Medicine 2023;23(1):90-
Atypical monkeypox broke out in many non-endemic countries in 2022, and the cumulative number of cases worldwide reached 21 775 on July 11. Although most cases of atypical monkeypox outbreaks were related to sexual behavior, there was no clear consensus on whether monkeypox is a sexually transmitted disease, and the current guidelines issued in China for the diagnosis and treatment of monkeypox do not yet rule out monkeypox as a sexually transmitted disease. This review analyzed the evidence supporting atypical monkeypox as a sexually transmitted disease and other possible explanations from the perspectives of monkeypox case definition/diagnostic criteria, epidemiology, clinical features, laboratory examinations, and public health prevention and control measures, aiming to provide suitable recommendations for the prevention and control of monkeypox outbreaks in China.
3.Advance in the cardioprotective effects offered by remote ischemic preconditioning
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(04):-
Remote ischaemic preconditioning(RIPC)is defined as brief ischemia in one organ could confer resistance to subsequent lethal ischemia insults in remote organ.Accumulating data from either basic research or clinical trials had demonstrated the cardioprotective effect offered by RIPC,which is a safe and effective means of reducing ischemia reperfusion injury. The aim of the review is to summarize the advance in the clinical application of RIPC.
4.Research advance in role of ROS in cardioprotection offered by preconditioning or postconditioning
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(medical Science) 2010;30(2):229-232
Reactive oxygen species(ROS)play an important role in the cardiac ischemic and reperfusion injury. However, accumulating evidences have demonstrated that ROS are pivotal components of redox signaling cascade relevant to cardioprotection induced by either preconditioning or postconditioning. In this review, the definition, source and detection methods of ROS are introduced.Besides, the role of ROS in the cardioprotection offered by preconditioning or postconditioning and the effects of either preconditioning or postconditioning on ROS are summarized.

China Oncology 2016;26(3):201-207
Background and purpose:The prognosis of ovarian cancer is poor and the diagnosis is relatively late. It is needed to search for early diagnosis and treatment for ovarian cancer. This study investigated the expression of serum miRNAs in patients with malignancy or benign ovarian tumor preoperativey and analyzed its correlation with clinicopathological progress and prognostic features of epithelial ovarian cancer.Methods:Forty-eight miRNAs which have been reported to be related to ovarian cancer were ordered. The differential expression of 48 miRNAs in the serum of patients with malignant or benign epithelial ovarian tumors was detected by TaqMan low density array. The differentially expressed miRNAs were further confirmed by real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RTFQ-PCR). The relationship between the expression level of selected miRNA and clinical clinicopathological factors, progress and prognosis were analyzed. Results:TaqMan low density array and further RTFQ-PCR showed that only miR-125b was sig-nificantly increased in 135 ovarian cancer patients as compared with 38 individuals with benign tumor. The expression of miR-125b was higher in early stage patients than that in advanced stage patients (P=0.039). The patients without residual tumor expressed more miR-125b than patients with residual tumor (P=0.013). The high level of miR-125b was signifi-cantly correlated with longer progress free survival (PFS) (P=0.003), but not correlated with overall survival (OS) (P=0.069). Conclusion:MiR-125b may play an important role in the pathogenesis of epithelial ovarian cancer and prognosis. It may be a potential gene to predict the recurrence of epithelial ovarian cancer, but the change of gene expression at different stages and its underlying mechanism need further research.

Chinese Journal of Immunology 2010;26(2):129-131,135
Objective:To establish a multidrug resistance cell line from human laryngeal cancer cells by VCR.Methods:Human laryngeal cancer cells(Hep-2) were exposed in stepwise escalating concentration of VCR until the resistant cell(Hep-2/v) line was developed. The IC50 and the resistance folds of multidrug resistance were detected with MTT assay. The differences of cell cycle distribution and Rhodamine accumulation between Hep-2 and Hep-2/v cells were studied through flow cytometry. The MDR1 gene were detected through real-time quantitative RT-PCR, and the corresponding protein was detected through western blot.Results:Hep-2/v cells was established, which had stable resistance to VCR and a resistance index of 45;Hep-2/v cells exhibited cross resistance to many other chemotherapeutic agents and its doubling time was prolonged; The number of cells in G_0/G_1 phase was increased while in S phase decreased(P<0.05);Rhodamine accumulation in Hep-2 cells was much more than Hep-2/v cells(P<0.01);The expression of MDR1 were increased than that of Hep-2 cells(P<0.01).Conclusion:Hep-2/v cell line shows the typical multidrug resistance phenotype. It can be served as a model for the study of MDR.

Chinese Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2016;39(8):599-603
Objective To investigate the expression pattern of growth arrest-specific transcript 5 ( GAS5 ) in hepatocellular carcinoma and assess its pre-operation and post-operation levels. Methods Totally 243 patients were collected in Zhongnan Hospital in 2015, and were divided into 4 groups: pre-operation (117 cases), 1 weeks after operation (39 cases), patients with hepatitis B (55 cases) and cirrhosis ( 71 cases ) .Meanwhile, 129 controls were collected. The expression of GAS5 in plasma was detected by real-time quantitative PCR. The levels of GAS5 in subgroups were compared by Oneway ANOVA.The relationship between GAS5 and the clinical pathologic features, and its pre-operation and post-operation expression were analyzed by Student′s t test. Results GAS5 was downregulated in HCC plasma and the levels of GAS5 were associated with tumor differentiation ( R2 =0.219,P=0.011) and TNM stage (R2 =0.036,P=0.044).Compared with the levels in pre-operation group (3.958 ±0.282), GAS5 were upregulated after surgery (3.843 ±0.223),t=2.283, P=0.028.In addition, GAS5 expression in well and moderately differentiated HCC was higher than poorly differentiated ones before operation[(3.873 ±0.191) and(4.151 ±0.365),t=2.271,P=0.035], but there was no significant difference after operation[(3.880 ±0.154) and (3.879 ±0.246),t=0.032, P=0.975].The ROC curves indicated that GAS5 had a good sensitivity to differentiate HCC from the healthy ( 88%, 88/100 ) and the cirrhosis ( 90%, 90/100 ) . Conclusion GAS5 might be used to assess the treatment of HCC.

Chinese Archives of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery 2006;0(01):-
OBJECTIVE To investigate the role of TLR4 signaling pathway in secretory otitis media of rats.METHODS Rats SOM models were made by infusing FS and LPS to the middle otocysts. The rats were killed separately at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th,11th and13th day(5 rats each time). And then the expressions of TLR4, iNOS, IL-8mRNA of middle ear mucosae were detected. NF-?B was also detected through the method of immunohistochemistry. RESULTS The expressions of TLR4mRNA, iNOS and IL-8mRNA in middle ear mucosae of SOM group were significantly higher than that of control group. Immunohistochemistry method showed that the activation of NF-?B in middle ear mucosae was obviously increased in SOM. CONCLUSION The expression of TLR4 was obviously increased in SOM and it activates the NF-?B, promotes the expression of downstream IL-8. That maybe the mechanism which cause SOM.
