Objective To explore the efficacy of somatostatin and pantoprazole sodium in treatment of severe acute pancreatitis. Methods 124 cases with severe acute pancreatitis admitted in the People's Hospital of Zhoushan City from Jan 2011 to Jan 2014 were randomly divided into control group and combination group,each had 62 cases. Patients in control group were treated with pantoprazole sodium,while in combination group were treated with somatostatin and semi Pantoprazole sodium. Results The total effective rate in combination group was 95.16%,higher than 64.52% in control group. the difference was significant(P<0.05 ). The recovery time and the incidence of complication in combination group was significantly lower than control group (P <0.05 ). Conclusion Somatostatin and pantoprazole sodium can effectively improve the treatment efficiency of SAP patients,shorten recovery time,and reduce the incidence of complication.
3.Comparison of Effects of Compound Xueshuantong Capsule and Benazepril on Serum Inflammatory Cytokines in Early Diabetic Nephropathy

Objective To compare effects of compound Xueshuantong capsule and benazepril on inflammatory cyto-kines in type 2 diabetic patients with early diabetic nephropathy (DN), and its therapeutic mechanism thereof. Methods Ninety-four patients with type 2 diabetes were divided into diabetes without albuminuria group (DM,n=24) and early DN group (DN,n=70). DN group was then divided into three subgroups:group A (n=24) treated by benazepril alone, group B (n=22) treated by compound Xueshuantong capsule and group C (n=24) treated by compound Xueshuantong capsule combined with benazepril for 3 months. Levels of fasting blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, serum creatinine, blood urea nitro-gen, lipid profiles, fibrinogen and urinary albumin excretion rate (UAER) were examined before and after treatment. The se-rum levels of hypersensitive c-reactive protein (hs-CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) were determined as well. Results The serum levels of hs-CRP, IL-6 and TNF-αwere significantly higher in DN group than those of DM group (P<0.01). After treatment, the serum levels of UAER, hs-CRP, IL-6 and TNF-αwere significantly re-duced in groups A, B and C compared with those before treatment (P<0.01), and which were decreased more significantly in group C. The levels of blood lipids and fibrinogen decreased obviously in group C compared with those of group A and B ( P<0.01). Conclusion Compound Xueshuantong capsule combined with benazepril not only can improve the blood fat and high coagulation state in patients, but also impossibly retard the development of early DN through decreasing serum concen-trations of hs-CRP, IL-6 and TNF-αand inhibiting inflammatory reaction.
4.Application of Snodgrass Urethroplasty for Failure Hypospadias Repairment

Objective To evaluate the application of Snodgrass urethroplasty for failure hypospadias repairment.Methods Eighty-four cases of failure hypospadias were treated by Snodgrass urethroplasty from 2001 to 2005.The average age of patients was 3.7 years old.In the meantime,Duplay procedure was undertaken for other failure hypospadias with enough penile skin(76 cases).Results There were 64 cases cured,6 cases with urethral stricture and 14 cases with urethral fistula in 84 failure hypospadias cases.Sixty-one cases were cured in 76 cases used Duplay procedure.Conclusion Snodgrass is recommended for failed hypospadias cases with narrow urethral plate.

AIM: To investigate the levels of IL-18, IL-16, IL-8, eotaxin and the chymase activity in the sputum of asthmatics. METHODS: IL-18, IL-16, IL-8 and eotaxin levels were detected with sandwich ELISA procedures and chymase activity was determined spectrophotometrically (410 nm) by the rate of hydrolysis of N-succinyl-L-Ala-L-Ala-L-Pro-L-Phe-p-nitroanilide (SAAPP). RESULTS: The specific chymase activities in the severe and moderate asthmatics were higher than that in controls. Native protease inhibitors ?_1-antitrypsin (?_1-AT) and soybean trypsin inhibitor (SBTI) inhibited 71.9% and 72.1% enzymatic chymase activity, respectively. Aim To construct p27kip1 eukaryotic expression plasmid to investigate its influence on mononuclear cell proliferation and cell cycle for further researching the role of p27kip1 in disease prevention and treatment.Methods p27kip1 gene was cloned into pcDNA3.0 eukaryotic expression,then pcDNA3.0/p27kip1 mediated by liposome was transfected into mononuclear cell.MTT assay and flow cytometry were used to analyze cell proliferation and cell cycle.Results The mouse pcDNA3.0/p27kip1 eukaryotic expression plasmid were successfully constructed.The cells transfected with pcDNA3.0/p27kip1 expressed more p27 protein,and their proliferation was inhibited obviously.The percentage of the cells in G0/G1 phase increased,and that in S phase decreased significantly.Conclusions Mouse pcDNA3.0/p27kip1 eukaryotic expression plasmid could be expressed in mononuclear cells,and overexpression of p27 protein could inhibit mononuclear cell proliferation by restricting the cell cycle,making cell cycle arrest in G0/G1 phase.

9.Hospital-acquired Invasive Fungal Infections:Clinical and Etiological Analysis of 80 Cases

OBJECTIVE To study the prevalence,fungal species,therapy and prevention of invasive fungal infections in our Affiliated Hospital.METHODS From Jan 2004 to Dec 2005,all patients with positive results for fungal culture of blood and sterile fluid were reviewed retrospectively.The in vitro activity of antifungal agents against fungal isolates was determined.RESULTS Eighty-eight positive patients were collected in this analysis based on the diagnosis of invasive fungal infection in our hospital for two years,from them the majority were diagnosed as candidal infections(n=72,81.8%),the others were Cryptococcus neoformans(n=8,9.1%),Aspergillus(n=5,5.7%) and other different fungal infections.The most common was C.albicans(n=48,66.7%),C.glabrata(n=12,16.7%),and C.tropicalis(n=8,11.1%),C.parapsilosis and C.krusei were both the same results(n=2,2.8%).CONCLUSIONS Infections caused by Candida are the most common invasive fungal ones in our hospital,and C.albicans is the most common one.Fluconazole remains effective for treament of candidal infections,especially those caused by C.albicans.
