AIM: To discuss the complications and prevention of phacoemulification in primary angle-closure glaucoma after trabeculectomy.
METHODS:Retrospective analysis of 33 cases (37 eyes) phacoemulification in primary angle-closure glaucoma after trabeculectomy in our hospital between January 2008 and June 2012, followed up 12-33mo, intraoperative and postoperative complications were observed.
RESULTS: Compared with pre-operation, intraocular pressure hadn't increased in follow-up 6mo. Iris was injured in 5 eyes, corneal edema was in 14 eyes, anterior chamber inflammation was in 16 eyes, all symptoms were improved in 3-7d. And no case with posterior capsule rupture or vitreous loss.
CONCLUSION: Phacoemulification is an effective way for the treatment of cataract after angle-closure glaucoma trabeculectomy, careful preoperative examination, intraoperative prevention can reduce or avoid the occurrence of surgical complications.

Objective To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture plus early rehabilitation training on the function recovery after surgery for cervical spinal cord injury. Methods Sixty patients with cervical spinal cord injury undergone anterior cervical decompression and internal fixation were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened by electroacupuncture plus rehabilitation training, while the control group was by rehabilitation training alone. The Frankel’s grading (FG), Barthel Index (BI), and Functional Independence Measure (FIM) were adopted for evaluation before and after intervention. Results The FG was not significantly changed after intervention in both groups (P>0.05). After intervention, there was no significant difference in comparing FG between the two groups (P>0.05). The BI and FIM scores were significantly changed after intervention in both groups (P＜0.01). There were significant differences in comparing BI and FIM scores between the two groups (P＜0.05). Conclusion Electroacupuncture plus early rehabilitation training can promote the function recovery after surgery for cervical spinal cord injury, and improve the quality of life.

The process of late lung development is disturbed in bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD).One of the keys in late lung development is secondary septation, in which secondary septa arise from primary septa, producing plenty of small alveoli, which significantly increase the surface area of gas exchange.Secondary septation,together with architectural changes to the vascular structure of the lung which minimize the distance between the blood and the inspired air, are the targets of late lung development.BPD is a disease of premature infants in which development of the alveoli is stunted caused by many factors including volutrauma,inflammation,and oxygen toxicity.Compared with early lung development, the later development of the immature lung remains unclear.This paper is to emphasize remarkable latest research of arrested late lung development and BPD.

Objective To survey the status and influence factors of radiology department nurses self-protection behavior. Methods The radiology department nurses′self-protection behavior questionnaire compiled by the researchers were used to conduct a questionnaire survey of 100 nurses in different grade hospitals. Results Scores of the item body fluid of patients with contact contaminated were wearing glovesof second-class hospital and third-class hospital were (3.695±0.73) points and (3.73±0.74) points, and there was no statistically significant different between them (P> 0.05). The other items about self-protective behavior of nurses from different levels of hospitals had some differences (t=-4.24-2.43, P<0.05). Conclusions Self-protective behavior of radiology department nurses is affected by many factors. Nursing managers should take effective measures to improve nurses′self-protective consciousness and ability.

Objective To evaluate the role of the expression of protein kinase Cγ and Cα in spinal dorsal horn in the metabotropic glutamate receptor subtype 5 (mGluR5)'s participation in the development of morphine tolerance in rats. Methods Thirty-two male SD rats in which the intrathecal (IT) catheter was successfully placed were randomly divided into 4 groups (n = 8 each): control group (group C), morphine tolerance group (group M), antisense oligodeoxynucleotide (ODN) plus morphine group (group ANT) and mismatch ODN plus morphine group (group MIS). Rats in group M received 0.9% normal saline (NS) 5 μl twice a day for 8 days, and IT morphine 15 μg was injected simultaneously at 6, 7 and 8 days twice a day. Rats in group ANT and MIS received IT antisense and mismatch ODN 30 nmol (in 0.9% NS 5 μl) twice a day for 8 days respectively and IT morphine 15 μg was injected simultaneously at 6, 7 and 8 days twice a day. Rats in group C received NS instead twice a day for 8 days. Paw-withdrawl threshold (PWT) to thermal and mechanical stimulation was measured at 6, 7 and 8 days after ODN injection (T1-3). The animals were killed on 9th day (T4) and the lumbar segment of the spinal cord was removed for determination of the expression of mGluR5, PKCα and PKCγ mRNA (by RT-PCR), PKCαand PKCγ ( by Western blot). Results PWT to thermal and mechanical stimulation was significantly higher at T1.2in group M and MIS and at T1.3 in group ANT, the expression of mGluR5 mRNA, PKCα and PKCγ was significantly higher at T4 in group M and MIS, and mGluR5 mRNA expression was significantly lower at T4 in group ANT than in group C ( P ＜ 0.05). PWT to thermal and mechanical stimulation was significantly higher at T2.3, while the expression of mGluR5 mRNA, PKCα and PKCγ lower at T4 in group ANT than in group M ( P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion The expression of protein kinase C in spinal dorsal horn plays an important role in the mGluR5's participation in the development of morphine tolerance in rats.

Objective To understand the clinical and pathological features of hepatitis B virus-associated glomerulonephritis(HBV-GN).Methods Twenty children with HBV-GN were analysed including 17 cases of nephritic syndrome (4 cases of simple nephrosis, 13 cases of nephritic nephrosis),2 cases of isolated proteinuria, 1 case of nephritic syndrome according to the clinical classification.Results On the basis of pathology of kidney biopsy, there were 15 cases of membranous glomerulonephritis(MN),3 cases of manbranoproliferative glomerulonephritis(MPGN),2 cases of mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis(MsPGN).Eight of 20 cases were treated with recombinated human alpha-interfeon. The average follow-up time was 5.7 years. As the result, complete remission clinically was on 5 cases,partial remission on 2 cases and ineffectiveness on one case. Besides, serum HBsAg, HBeAg were converted to negative on 3 cases , HBeAg disappeared and anti-HBe appeared on one case.Conclusion MN is common in childhood with HBV-GN.It also indicates the prognosis of the associated nephropathies is quite favorable.

Objective To investigate the mechanisms of tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis inducing ligand (TRAIL) combined with Triptolide in inducing the apoptosis of pancreatic cancer cells.Methods (1) The pancreatic cancer cells (MiaPaca-2 cells) were divided into 4 groups:blank control group (no drugs were added),TRAIL + Triptolide-group (only TRAIL was added),TRAIL-Triptolide + group (only Triptolide was added) and TRAIL+ Triptolide+ group (TRAIL and Triptolide were added).The vitality of cells in all the 4 groups was assessed by CCK-8.The expressions of poly ADP-ribose polymerase (PARP),cysteinyl aspartate specific proteinase-3 (Caspase-3) and Caspase-8 were detected by Western blot.The vitality of cells was detected by CCK-8 and the vitality of Caspase-8 was detected by Caspase-Glo assays after adding Z-IETD-FMK,a specific inhibitor of Caspase-8.The expressions of myeloid cell leukemia-1 (Mcl-1),Bcl-xL and Bcl-2 were detected by Western blot.(2) The MiaPaca-2 cells were divided into 8 groups:①TRAIL-Mcl-1 siRNA-group (no TRAIL was added and Mcl-1 siRNA cells were not transfected),TRAIL+ Mcl-1 siRNA-group (TRAIL was added and Mcl-1 siRNA cells were not transfected),TRAIL-Mcl-1 siRNA + group (TRAIL was not added and Mcl-1 siRNA cells were transfected)and TRAIL+ Mcl-1 siRNA+ group (TRAIL was added and Mcl-1 siRNA cells were transfected).②TRAIL-Bcl-xL siRNA-group (TRAIL was not added and Bcl-xL siRNA was not transfected),TRAIL+ Bcl-xL siRNA-group (TRAIL was added and Bcl-xL siRNA was not transfected),TRAIL-Bcl-xL siRNA + group (TRAIL was not added and Bcl-xL siRNA was transfected) and TRAIL+ Bcl-xL siRNA+ group (TRAIL was added and Bcl-xL siRNA was transfected).The vitality of the cells in all the groups was detected by CCK-8.The expressions of Caspase-3 and Caspase-8 protein were detected by Western blot.The measurement data with normal distribution were presented as (x) ± s.The comparison among groups was done by ANOVA,and the pairwise comparison was done by LSD-t test.Results (1) The vitalities of MiaPaca-2 cells in the blank control group,TRAIL + Triptolide-group,TRAIL-Triptolide + group and TRAIL + Triptolide + group were 100.0％ ± 1.1％,81.2％ ± 2.3％,78.6％ ± 3.6％and 40.1％ ± 2.5 ％,and the relative expressions of PARP protein were 0.510 ± 0.028,0.720 ±0.072,1.250 ±0.023 and 2.560 ± 0.220,the relative expressions of Caspase-3 were 0.080 ± 0.004,0.080 ± 0.003,0.110 ±0.005 and 2.720 ± 0.003,and the relative expressions of Caspase-8 were 0.070 ± 0.003,0.080 ± 0.005,0.120 ±0.003 and 0.990 ± 0.006,with significant differences among the 4 groups (F =203.607,1 457.785,332 421.900,35 437.218,P ＜ 0.05).The vitality of M iaPaca-2 cells in the TRAIL + Triptolide + group was significantly different from those in the blank control group,the TRAIL + Triptolide-group and the TRAIL-Triptolide + group (t =34.583,355.936,36.271,P ＜ 0.05).The relative expression of PARP protein of MiaPaca-2 cells in the TRAIL+ Triptolide + group was significantly different from those in the blank control group,TRAIL+ Triptolidegroup and TRAIL-Triptolide + group (t =591.784,63.739,2 268.987,P ＜ 0.05).The relative expression of Caspase-3 protein of the MiaPaca-2 cells in the TRAIL + Triptolide + group was significantly different from those in the blank control group,the TRAIL + Triptolide-group and theTRAIL-Triptolide + group (t =3 266.153,9 145.228,1 738.713,P ＜0.05).The relative expression of Caspase-8 protein of the MiaPaca-2 cells in the TRAIL+ Triptolide +group was significantly different from those in the blank control group,the TRAIL+ Triptolide-group and the TRAIL-Triptolide + group (t =663.953,l 432.878,327.584,P ＜ 0.05).The vitality of caspase-8 in the TRAIL+ Triptolide+ group was 711.0％ ± 5.1％ before adding Z-IETD-FMK,and then the vitality of MiaPaca-2 cells and caspase-8 changed to 70.0％ ± 4.8％ and 73.0％ ± 2.4％,with significant differences (t =17.956,55.027,P ＜ 0.05).The relative expressions of Mcl-1 protein in the blank control group,the TRAIL + Triptolidegroup,the TRAIL Triptolide + group and the TRAIL + Triptolide + group were 1.68 ± 0.22,2.08 ± 0.11,0.73 ±0.15 and 0.58 ± 0.18,the relative expressions of Bcl-xL protein were 0.65 ± 0.03,0.47 ± 0.03,0.32 ± 0.03and 0.26 ±0.05,the relative expressions of Bcl-2 protein were 0.65 ± 0.03,0.67 ± 0.03,0.62 ± 0.05 and 0.67 ± 0.03,with significant difference among the 4 groups (F =55.178,88.683,3.411,P ＜ 0.05).The relative expressions of Mcl-1 protein of the MiaPaca-2 cells in the TRAIL-Triptolide + group and the TRAIL+ Triptolide +group were significantly different from those of the blank control group (t =23.506,47.631,P ＜ 0.05) and the TRAIL + Triptolide-group (t =58.457,37.115,P ＜ 0.05).The relative expressions of Bcl-xL protein of the MiaPaca-2 cells in the TRAIL-Triptolide + group and the TRAIL + Triptolide + group were significantly different from those of the blank control group (t =38.105,42.219,P ＜ 0.05) and the TRAIL + Triptolide-group (t =32.476,15.814,P ＜ 0.05).The relative expressions of Bcl-2 protein in the TRAIL-Triptolide + group and the TRAIL+ Triptolide + group were not significantly different from those of the blank control group (t =4.724,1.732,P > 0.05) and the TRAIL + Triptolide-group (t =3.464,0.000,P ＞ 0.05).(2) The vitalities of MiaPaca-2 cells of the TRAIL-Mcl-1 siRNA-group,TRAIL + Mcl-1 siRNA-group,the TRAIL-Mcl-1 siRNA + group and the TRAIL + Mcl-1 siRNA + group were 100.0％ ± 2.2％,79.3％ ± 1.8％,71.2％ ± 3.2％ and 37.3％ ± 5.4％,the relative expressions of Caspase-8 protein were 0.100 ± 0.003,0.100 ± 0.005,0.100 ± 0.003 and 0.350 ±0.005,and the relative expressions of Caspase-3 protein were 0.020 ± 0.003,0.060 ± 0.003,0.020 ± 0.003 and 0.590 ±0.004,with significant differences among the 4 groups (F =136.681,2 717.391,44 471.429,P ＜0.05).The vitality of MiaPaca-2 cells of the TRAIL + Mcl-1 siRNA + group was significantly different from those in the TRAIL-Mcl-1 siRNA-group,the =70.074,4 643.478,P ＜ 0.05).The vitality of MiaPaca-2 cells of the TRAIL + Bcl-xL siRNA + group was significantly different from those in the TRAIL-Bcl-xL siRNA-group,the TRAIL+ Bcl-xL siRNA-group and the TRAIL-Bcl-xL siRNA + group (t =24.416,41.170,18.136,P ＜ 0.05).The relative expression of Caspase-3 protein of the TRAIL + Bcl-xL siRNA + group was significantly different from those in the TRAIL-Mcl-1 siRNA-group,the TRAIL + Mcl-1 siRNA-group and the TRAIL-Mcl-1 siRNA + group (t =285.788,554.256,190.526,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion Triptolide could induce the apoptosis of MiaPaca-2 cells by inhibiting the expressions of Mcl-1 and Bcl-xL,sensitizing TRAIL and activating Caspase-8 and Caspase-3.

Objective To explore the application of bumetanide to inhibition of tumor cell proliferation.Methods In different cell lines, the expression of natrium,kalium, chloride cotransporter 1 ( NKCC1) was detected by Western blotting while the proliferation of different tumor cells was examined by CCK-8 kit.Results The target protein NKCC1 expression in lung cancer cell line ( A549 ) and colorectal cancer cell line ( HCT116 ) was significantly higher than that in chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line (K562), esophageal cancer cell line (Eca109), cervical carcinoma cell line (HeLa), T lymphocytic leukemia cell line (Jurkat) and breast cancer cell line (MCF7).IC50 Values of bumetanide were significantly lower in A549 and HCT116 than in K562, Eca109,HeLa,Jurkat and MCF7.Furthermore, the inhibiory rate and the target protein expression level were positively correlated.Conclusion Bumetanide can inhibit tumor cell proliferation and NKCC1 can serve as a potential target of anticancer drugs.

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of injectingPSby Scalp needle-induced tra-cheal catheter on treatment of neonatal hyaline membrane disease.Methods 26 cases were chosen as control group who were treated in our hospital NICU department during January,2013 to December,2013;the other 31 cases as improved group during January,2014 to January,2015.After administration therapy of drug,the injection time,chest X-ray and blood gas analysis were researched as observation indexes respectively.Results The amelioration of chest X-ray:29 cases in the improved group and 19 cases in the control group after 48 hours treatment,χ2 =4.457, P=0.035;The amelioration of blood gas analysis:pH:(7.38 ±0.08) in improved group and (7.26 ±0.04) in the control group,t=4.981,P=0.030;PaCO2 (mmHg):(39 ±6) in the improved group and (50 ±10) in the control group,t=5.897,P=0.019;PaO2(mmHg):(77 ±6) in the improved group and (67 ±10) in the control group,t=8.026,P=0.006.Conclusion The therapeutic effect of improved group is obviously better than the control group.

120 g?L-1. The estimated intraoperative blood loss was 1 000-1 500 ml. The patients were randomly divided into 3 groups ( n = 16 each): group Ⅰ lactated Ringer's solution (LR); group Ⅱ LR-6% HES and group Ⅲ colloid (6% HES). Blood was removed from radial artery after induction of anesthesia. The target Hct was 28% . The volume of blood removed = body weight (kg)?7.5 ? (preop Hct -target Hct) / 0.5?(preop Hct + target Hct). The removed whole blood was replaced with lactated Ringer's solution in a three to one ratio in group Ⅰ or with 6% HES in a one to one ratio in group Ⅲ. In group Ⅱ half of the removed whole blood was replaced with LR and the other half with 6% HES. The EVLW, HR, BP, Cardiac index (CI) and dp/dtmax were monitored by PiCCO and recorded before induction of anesthesia (T0), immediately after induction of anesthesia (T1), immediately after and 15 min after ANH (T2,3), immediately before and after reinfusion (T4,5) . Hct, colloid osmotic pressure and blood gases were also measured and recorded. Results The 3 groups were comparable with respect to M/F ratio, age, body weight and the volume of whole blood removed. MAP, HR, SpO2 and CVP were stable during operation in all 3 groups. Hct was significantly decreased after ANH as compared with the baseline at T0 in all 3 groups. The osmotic pressure was significantly decreased after ANH in group Ⅰ and Ⅱ and was significantly higher in group Ⅱ and Ⅲ than in group Ⅰ after ANH. CI and dp/dtmax were significantly decreased after ANH as compared to the baseline at T0 in all 3 groups. There was no significant difference in EVLW, PaO2 and [ HCO3- ] among the 3 groups. Conclusion Moderate ANH with crystalloid or colloid has little effect on EVLW and oxygenation in patients with normal cardio-pulmonary function.
