ObjectiveTo enhance the fund efficiency of dental research programs supported by National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) and to reveal the achievements and progresses of the funds.MethodsThe data of programs in dental and craniofacial field supported by NSFC from 1999 to 2006 and completed between 2003 and 2009 were collected based on the final reports by the investigators. The data of personnel training, research publication, patent, awards, and academic communication at domestic and international levels were all collected and analysed. Results There were 307 grants in total, including 185 general programs,73 Young Scientists Funds,13 regional funds,3 Key Programs,1 National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and 32 others. An average of 4 postgraduate students was trained by each program. In general, the outcomes of general programs were better than those of Young Scientists Fund, and the latter was better than regional fund. There was steady increase each year in the amount of papers published in SCI journals, and about half of the investigators published SCI papers. In addition,9 patents were registered and 13 prizes were won, and the investigators participated 610 domestic and international exchanges. Conclusions The continuously increase of NSFC support in dental field has led to substantial achievement, although patent application, the quality of papers and novel ideas need to be improved.

Nitric oxide (NO), which is involved in the regulation of the cardiovascular system, nervous system, immune system, reproductive system, digestive system and other physiological activities, is an important biological substance with activity. Under normal physiological conditions, neuronal nitric oxide synthase (nNOS) can precisely regulate the nervous system NO production, release, diffusion and inactivation processes. But an excess of NO associates with the development of cerebral ischemia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's psychosis nervous system diseases, while inhibition of nNOS activity can regulate the content of NO in vivo, and produce a therapeutic effect on some of the nervous system diseases. This review mainly describes the structure and regulation of nNOS and recent developments of small molecule inhibitors of nNOS.

OBJECTIVE To study characteristics of changing T lymphocytes in epidemic hemorrhagic fever(EHF) patients during acute phase and find out the pathogenesis,in order to elevate the level of early diagnosis.METHODS The anticoagulant blood from 30 cases of EHF patients and 50 normal healthy blood donors was collected.T lymphocyte subsets were detected by flow cytometry.RESULTS Compared with those of normal persons,CD4+ T cell counts of EHF patients decreased,CD8+T cell and double CD4+CD8+ cell(double positive cells,DP cell) counts of EHF patients increased obviously, and 25 cases of EHF in recovery stage returned to normal. And in comparison with HIV,CMV and EBV patients,DP cell counts of EHF patients increased obviously.CONCLUSIONS T lymphocytes of EHF decrease obviously but could be resumed, detection of amounts of lymphocyte subsets and CD4+CD8+ cells can provide an early diagnosis method to EHF.

Practice abilityoriented professional quality training is an important part of thethree orientation talent training mode in Qiqihar Medical School, and it is the key link of the reform and inno-vation of talent training mode. This article mainly expounds the connotation of training mode in the three orientation under the guidance of medical personnel and medical research ability, and the training objec-tives cover innovative thinking ability and scientific research ability, including five aspects of training strat-egy such as reforming the teaching mode of the traditional theory course, setting up scientific research related courses, carrying out academic lecture, reforming the teaching mode of experiment course and con-structing the scientific research team of teachers and students by the scientific research project as well as seven aspects of the evaluation system, such as the literature review, the title of the report, academic report and research application writing, scientific research (comprehensive) experiment report, thesis writing and comprehensive performance, and deeply analyzes the close relationship between the practice ability and the medical research ability of medical students.

Journal of Zhejiang University. Medical sciences 2010;39(2):193-197
OBJECTIVETo investigate possible causes of micromotion in distal femoral prosthesis.
METHODSBased on the assumption that the femur and prosthesis were considered as concentric cylinders with completely bonded interface, a theoretical model simulating the interfacial stress transfer was established. The distributions of the interfacial shear and radial stresses with the changing of z were obtained through mathematics and mechanics deducing.
RESULTSThe maximum interfacial shear stress occurred at the position of z=0, namely, the cross section of the femur neck. The interfacial shear stress sharply decreased with the increasing of z and came to nearly zero at the range of z> 0.1 m. While the interfacial radial stress increased with the increasing of z,at the range of z >0.05 m it was constant and reached the maximum.
CONCLUSIONThe micromotion in distal prosthesis is caused by the interfacial radial stress.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2017;38(11):133-136
Objective To explore the advantages and disadvantages of magnetic resonance susceptibility effect applied clinically and countermeasures. Methods The application range of susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) technique and the harm of susceptibility artifact were introduced with considerations on MRI clinical application and experiences, and then some countermeasures were put forward accordingly. Results SWI technique could be used for the diagnoses of multi diseases, and susceptibility artifact could be suppressed by sequence, parameter and corresponding techniques. Conclusion Susceptibility effect contributes to extending the clinical application of MRI, and references are provided for the development and reform of other new techniques.

We present an unusual case of an unstable pelvic fracture during pregnancy period, who suffered fetal death and splenic rupture simultaneously which developed massive delayed hemorrhage in abdomen. When considering potential causes of fetal death, direct trauma to the uterus, placenta, or fetus was not associated with a higher fetal mortality rate, compared with maternal hemorrhage. A cesarean section and splenectomy could rescue the maternal life from the hemorrhage situation. Successful treatment of these rare cases is possible with careful pre-, peri-, and post-operative evaluation of the mother and fetus by a multidisciplinary team.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect of operative treatment of scapular fractures through modified Judet approach.
METHODSFrom January 1997 to October 2005, 21 patients (15 females, 6 males; mean age 34 years) of scapular fractures were treated by open reduction and internal fixation through the modified Judet approach. According to Hardegger classification system, there were 11 patients of scapular body fractures, 10 patients of scapular neck fractures, 8 patients of glenoid rim fractures, 7 patients of glenoid fossa fractures, 9 patients of scapular spine fractures, and 6 patients of scapular acromion fractures.
RESULTSEighteen patients were followed up with an average of 21 months (range 6 months-4 years). According to Rowe scores system, 12 patients showed excellent, 3 showed good, 2 showed fair, and 1 showed poor.
CONCLUSIONSThe modified Judet approaches have the advantages of wide exploration, safety, and easy fixation. It is a good choice to the operation for most types of scapular fractures through the modified Judet approach.
