1.Study on rhTSH-aided radioiodine treatment with 131 I therapy in children and adolescents with differen-tiated thyroid cancer
Practical Oncology Journal 2016;30(4):309-313
Objective The study is mainly on the effect and outcome of 131 I treatment for children and adolescents with differentiated thyroid cancer .Methods We compared the difference between rhTSH -aided ra-dioiodine treatment and L -thyroxin withdrawal .Our study collected 87 patients in a retrospective study .In order to analysis the effect,we divided into two groups. The experimental group has 46 patients, and control check has 41 patients. We compared the basic characteristics and mortality in different groups by χ2 -test,t-test and F-test based on data type .Results The thyroid stimulating hormone concentrations of experimental group patients have significant differences in the first ,the third and the sixth day after the injected of rhTSH ,the third day is the highest. The TSH concentration has significant difference between the two groups before 131I treatment(t=2.362, P=0.023).For the Tg(thyrobolulin)negative patients,Tg concentration in control check is higher than the third day after injected of rhTSH in the experiment group (1.5 ±1.2 vs.0.7 ±1.4,P=0.034).Whole body image has been done by scintigraphic after 3~8 months of 131I treatment.Thirty four(84%)patients have no radioiodine up-take in experiment group, and 40(87%)patients have no radioiodine uptake in control check ,there is no differ-ence between the two groups (χ2 =0.277,P=0.599).There is no difference between the two groups on the rea-son for retreatment(P=0.875).Conclusion The outcome of rhTSH -aided radioiodine treatment is similar to L-thyroxin withdrawal in short -term recurrences ,and rhTSH-aided radioiodine treatment with 131 I therapy for children and adolescents with DTC is a better method .

OBJECTIVETo investigate the incidence of depression and its etiological factors in patients with cryptorchidism 6-16 years after surgical treatment.
METHODSUsing Self-Rating Depression Scale and Correlation Factor Questionnaire, we investigated the incidence of depression symptoms among 70 patients with cryptorchidism 6-16 years after surgical treatment and another 70 healthy males as controls, and analyzed the related factors of depression symptoms.
RESULTSThe incidence rate of depression symptoms was 50% in the cryptorchidism patients postoperatively, extremely significantly higher than 4.3% in the control group (χ2 = 23.5, P <0.01). Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the main risk factors of depression symptoms were worries about natural fertility (F = 15.8992, P <0.01), dissatisfaction with scrotal appearance (F = 4.6003, P <0.05), and the status of being married (F = 4.1002, P <0.05).
CONCLUSIONSymptoms of depression often occur in cryptorchidism patients after operation, and the major etiological factors are infertility, dissatisfaction with scrotal appearance, and the status of being married.

The biological!activities i.e. antineoplastic activities and antiviral activity of the two novel kinds of interferons: hIFN-?1 and hIFN-? were studied and compared. First the fusion expression vector: pcDNA3.1A-hIFN-?1-His and pcDNA3.1A-hIFN-?-His by PCR was constructed, then the two kinds of plasmids were transfected into WI-38 (human embryonic lung cells) with liposome. And cytopathic effect (CPE) suppression test was used to study and compare the antiviral activities of rhIFN-?1-His and rhIFN-?-His, meanwhile MTT assay was used to detect their antineoplastic activities. It was found that, antiproliferative activity and MxA protein induction shown by rhIFN-?1-His is more powerful than of rhIFN-?-His. The antiviral molecular mechanisms of both hIFN-?1 and hIFN-? are related to MxA.The foundation for further study on the bioactivities and mechanism of action of hIFN-?1 and hIFN-? was established.
