Objective To investigate the species and distribution of Mussaenda L. in Guangxi, and provide basis for protecting, developing and utilizing the local plant resources. Methods By field survey, specimens collection and identification and literatures consultion, Mussaenda L. in Guangxi was investigated. Results Mussaenda L. in Guangxi contains 8 species, and the majority of them are Mussaenda pubescens Ait.f and Mussaenda eros Champ. Conclusion The investigation results provide some basis for protection, development and utilization of the resources of Mussaenda L. in Guangxi.

[Objective]To analyze the results of distal tibial pilon fractures treated with individual management based on severity of soft tissue injury.[Method]From January 2005 to September 2008,29 Pilon fractures were treated. There were 22 males and 7 females aging from 23 to 63,with an average of 41.4.According to Ruedi-Allgower classification system of Pilon fracture,16 cases were type Ⅱ,13 type Ⅲ.According to Tscherne-Gotzen graduation system of soft tissue injury,22 cases were close fracture,8 grade 0,4 grade 1,8 grade 2,2 grade 3,and 7 cases were open fracture,3 grade 1,2 grade 2,2 grade 3.Individual management was based on severity of soft tissue injury.[Result]All patients were available for follow-up at an average of 28.6 months(range,12 to 56 months) after surgery. There were 10 excellent,13 good,4 fair, and 2 poor results according to the ankle score of Mazur. The complications occurred in 5 patients(17.2%),including wound superficial infection(n=2),skin necrosis(n=1),deep infection(n=1),and pin tract infection(n=1) with external fixation.[Conclusion]Individual management based on severity of soft tissue injury for Pilon fracture has advantages of fewer complications and good function.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(19):-
Objective To detect the change of discharge phase of guinea pig hippocampal CA1 pyramidal cells during visual discriminative task with an effective and convenient program we designed. Methods Five guinea pigs were performed by extracellular single unit recording in vivo when they were performing visual discriminative task. Discharge signals of individual pyramidal cells were extracted from different frequency signals by wavelet transform (WT), which made it feasible to calculate discharge phase of pyramidal cells in terms of time correlation between discharge and ? rhythm. Results The discharge phase of CA1 pyramidal cells in the 1 to 5s interval before visual discriminative task (172??1.8?) was obviously earlier than that in the 6 to 10s interval after visual discriminative task (189??3.7?) ( P0.01). Conclusion The program we designed is capable of detecting discharge phase of pyramidal cells. Regular shift of discharge phase of hippocampal CA1 pyramidal cells emerges before and after performing visual discriminative task.

Objective To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of endoscopic sphincterotomy (EST) for treatment of choledocholithiasis. Methods The clinical data of 326 patients receiving EST from July 1990 to January 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. Long-term follow-up was performed in 195 of the 326 patients. Results The common bile duct stones were removed in 301 cases (92. 33%).The occurring rate of complications after EST was 6.13% (20/326). Of the 20 patients, 10 had pancreatitis (3.07%), 7 hemorrhage (2. 14%), 4 cholangitis (1. 220%) and 1 duodenal perforation (0.09%). Only 1 patient died. The follow-up showed that 20 patients had reflux cholangitis and 18 recurrence of common bile duct stones. Conclusion Therapeutic endoscopy is safe and effective for treatment of choledocholithiasis.

Objective To discuss the protective effects and mechanisms of dexamethasone and Shenfu sepa-rate and joint administration of flap after ischemia-reperfusion injury. Methods 40-month-old fairly healthy rats were randomly divided into 4 group as A, B, C, D, and to product the abdominal island flap, then blocking the flow of blood of the pedicle artery respectively before 30 minutes when injecting with normal saline (1 ml/kg), dexametha-sone (1 ml/kg), Senate (10 ml/kg), joint injection with dexamethasone (1 ml/kg) and Shenfu (10 ml/kg). 4 groups of animals' blood samples were collected from the pedicle vein before the time of I hour when blocking vascu-lar pedicle and reperfusion after the time of 1 h, 6 h, 12 h, 24 h, respectively. Then the plasma concentration of TNF-α was measured. Results The concentration of TNF-α in the treatment group was significantly lower than the blank group(P <0.01). And the group D and the group B、C has significant differences either(P <0.01). Conclu-sion Using Dexamethasone, Shenfu injection in early can reduce the concentration of TNFα in repeffusion injury of flap and has a protective effect on the flap, but make better effect in combined.

Objective To examine cognitive function of the HIV/AIDS patients in the hospitals measured by the neuropsychological tests battery, make an evaluation of cognitive function of the HIV/AIDS patients, and diagnose the patients with HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders(HAND).Methods Ninety-nine normal individuals and two hundred and thirty HIV/AIDS inpatients, who were sampled by multi-stage random stratified in Guangxi, were tested by the 12 items of the neuropsychological tests. Results HIV / AIDS patients with abnormal neuropsychological test entries proportion ranges located between 21.3%-58.7 %.The results of 12 items of the neuropsychological tests were associated with the results of clinical diagnosis.Among them, the results of SC time,SCW time, color attachment, and numbers of the contiguous error in WSCT tests were positively associated with the results of clinical diagnosis, and the correlation coefficient were 0.384,0.335,0.237 and 0.129,respectively.There was a negative correlation between the results of the rest assessment and the results of clinical diagnosis ; vocabulary fluency was the highest correlation coefficient, while numbers of the contiguous error in WSCT tests was the lowest. Conclusion A higher proportion of abnormal occurrence of Guangxi HIV / AIDS patients in the 12 neuropsychological test entry, and affect the subjects with or without HIV-related neurological assessment of cognitive impairment. The data suggest that a full neuropsychological tests can be better used for the preliminary study of the HIV ±/AIDS patients neurocognitive function.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(14):-
Objective To understand well this disease,8 children with familial periodic paralysis(FPP) were reported and the(rela)-ted literatures were reviewed. Methods The hereditary characters, clinical manifestations, auxiliary examination and managements were summarized retrospectively in 8 cases of FPP patients hospitalized from January 1996 to December 2005,and etiopathogenis and diagnosis were also analyzed. Results Six cases of FPP were diagnosed as hypokalemic periodic paralysis, and all occured as an autosomal dominant condition.During paralytic episodes, the patients showed obviously low serum potassium levels [1.9-2.8 mmol/L,(2.4?0.38) mmol/L)] and hypokalemic electrocardiogram findings, such as U-wave.The level of blood glucose was lower than normal range.Other 2 cases with normal serum potassium ion level at attack were diagnosed as normokalemic periodic paralysis with autosomal dominant pattern. One of the two cases, the level of blood glucose was lower.Thyroid functions, renal functions and electromyograms were all normal in 8 cases. Conclusions FPP is a group of relatively uncommon inherited disorders known as the skeletal muscle channelophathies. It can be diagnosed by hereditary characters, clinical manifestataions, auxiliary examinations.
