Objective To explore the application value of coaxial semi automatic biopsy gun in the biopsy of small pulnonary nodules.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 40 patients with small pulmonary nodules who underwent CT guided percutaneous pulmonary nodules biopsy.Taking postoperative pathology diagnosis or imaging follow-up results as gold standard,the accuracy,specificity,sensitivity,intraoperative complications and puncture techniques of biopsy were analyzed.Results All operations were successfully completed.There were 29 malignant lesions and 11 benign lesions confirmed by postoperative pathology diagnosis or imaging follow-up results.The sensitivity,specificity,accuracy rate of puncture biopsy in diagnosis of malignant small pulmonary nodules was 89.65％ (26/29),100％ (11/11),92.50％ (37/40).The main complications were pneumothorax and local hemorrhage.Conclusion Percutaneous biopsy of small pulmonary nodules using coaxial semi-automatic biopsy gun has high accuracy,specificity and sensitivity,is a safe and effective method.

Objective To explore the efficacy of percutaneous nucleus pulposus atherectomy combined with ozone injection in treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Methods A total of 60 patients with lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into 3 groups:20 patients were treated by ozone injection (group A),20 patients were treated by percutaneous atherectomy (group B),20 patients were treated by percutaneous atherectomy combined with ozone injection (group C).The changes of visual analogue scale (VAS) and clinical effects in three groups pre-and 1 week,1 month and 3 month postoperation were compared.Intraoperative and postoperative complications were analyzed.Results The VAS of postoperation in three groups were significantly lower than those of preoperation (all P＜0.017).The short term and long term VAS of group C were lower than those of group A and group B (all P＜0.017).But there was no statistically significant difference among three groups of recent and long-term excellent rates (all P＞0.017).related complications were mainly waist pain,lower limb soreness and pain.Conclusion Percutaneous nucleus pulposus atherectomy combined with ozone injection is a safe and effective method,which can improve the curative effect of operation.

In order to explore the clinical effect of the glass fiber-reinforced composite resin post core for severe defect restoration of front teeth,sixty-two teeth were restored for forty-one patients with severe defect restoration of front teeth by glass fiber-reinforced composite resin post core plus alumina all-ceramic crown.Through 0.6-2.0 years follow up,all the prosthesis worked very well without breaking or falling off,no gum coloring except two posts fell off after the restoration at sixth month.The patients satisfied with the restoration.

Objective To develop the human colon carcinoma(HT-29) liver metastasis model in nude mice,and to detect the expression of human telomerase reverse transcriptases(hTERT) mRNA in liver of nude mice. Methods Liver metastases were established in 30 Balb/c nude mice by intrasplenic injection of colonic cancer cells(HT-29),and the spleens were resected.After being sacrificed,the tumor growth was observed,and the pathological examinations were performed.The expression of hTERT mRNA in the livers of nude mice was detected by RT-PCR technique. ResultsHuman colon carcinoma(HT-29) liver metastasis model was developed in all the 30 nude mice,with the liver metastasis rate of 100%.The pathological results revealed the occurrence of liver metastases,and the expression of hTERT mRNA was positive in the liver tissues. Conclusion Intrasplenic injection of HT-29 cell is a reliable way for producing colonic cancer liver metastasis model,and the positive expression of hTERT mRNA in liver tissues indicates the significance of hTERT in the early diagnosis and treatment of colon carcinoma liver metastasis.

Hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury is an important restricting factor of clinical liver resection and liver transplantation.When the liver is transiently deprived of blood followed by repeffusion,a large number of various mediators are released that can lead to cellular and,eventually,organ dysfunction.This review summarizes the pathogenesis and the protection mechanisms of hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury.

Objective To compare the effectiveness of enteral nutritional emulsion (TPF-D) and enteral nutritional emulsion (TP) in patients with chronic wound and diabetes (CWD). Methods Totally 20 CWD patients in Beijing Jishuitan Hospital from June 2008 to June 2010 were enrolled in this study. Enteral nutritional emulsion (TP) was used for the first 5 days ( TP group) and enteral nutritional emulsion (TPF-D) was used for the second 5 days (TPF-D group). Changes of mean amplitude of glycemic excursions (MAGE), insulin dosage, and prealbumin (PA) were compared between TPF-D group and TP group. The adverse effects and post-operational complications were also observed. Results The every-day MAGE was (2. 56 ±0. 35) mmol/L in TPF-D group, which was significantly lower than that in TP group [ (3.23 ± 0. 42) mmol/L] ( P = 0. 01 ). The mean insulin dosage was (9.6 ± 1.7) U in TPF-D group, which was significantly lower than that in TP group [ ( 12. 2 ± 2. 5 ) U ] ( P =0.03 ). The increase of PA showed no significant difference between TPF-D group [ ( 12.7 ± 3. 3) mg/L] and TP group [ ( 13.4 ± 2. 8 ) mg/L ] ( P = 0. 08 ). No enteral nutrition-related adverse effect or post-operation complication was noted. Conclusion Compared with TP, TPF-D is more suitable for the CWD patients.

ObjectiveTo establish a novel rapid detection method based on PCR-single-strand-conformational polymorphism (PCR-SSCP) to determine mutation of streptomycin-resistance associated rpsL and rrs genes in isolates of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB).MethodsStreptomycin-resistance of 112 MTB isolates was detected using the routine drug susceptibility test,and a special PCR-SSCP assay was established.The mutations of rpsL and rrs genes in streptomycin-resistant MTB isolates were detected by PCR-SSCP and PCR direct sequencing (PCR-DS) ; the results from two techniques were compared.Results All isolates had both rpsL and rrs genes.Fifty-two isolates (46.4％) were streptomycin susceptible,in which only 1 isolate showed abnormal PCR-SSCP fragments from rrs gene,and the specificity of PCR-SSCP was 98.1％ (51/52).Sixty isolates (53.6％) were streptomycin-resistant,in which 46 (76.6％) and 11 ( 18.3％ ) isolates presented the abnormal PCR-SSCP fragments of rpsL and rrs gene,respectively.One streptomycin-resistant isolate showed abnormal PCR-SSCP fragments from both rpsL and rrs genes.The sensitivity of PCR-SSCP was 93.3％ (56/60).ConclusionThe PCR-SSCP that established in this study is a specific and sensitive method for rapid detection of the streptomycin-resistance associated mutations in rpsL and rrs genes of MTB.

Objective To explore the clinic value of the vocal acoustics on voice evaluation in larynx leukoplakia pa?tients. Methods Dr. Speech software was used to perform voice acoustic analysis and deduce EGG parameters in 48 sub?jects with larynx leukoplakia and 50 normal subjects. Voice acoustic analysis parameters (Jitter, Shimmer, NNE, HNR, SNR, MPT), EGG parameters ( EGG-Jitter、EGG-Shimmer、EGG-NNE、EGG-HNR、EGG-SNR, CQP,CIP) and EGG wave?form were compared between two groups. Results For voice acoustic analysis, Jitter, Shimmer, NNE in larynx leukoplakia group were higher than those in normal group while HNR, SNR in larynx leukoplakia group were lower than those of normal group. What’s more,MPT in larynx leukoplakia group was obviously shorter than that in normal group with, statistically sig?nificant difference (P<0.05). For EGG analysis, EGG-Jitter, EGG-Shimmer, EGG-NNE were higher in larynx leukoplakia group than those in normal group with significant difference (P<0.05). EGG-HNR and EGG-SNR in larynx leukoplakia group were lower than those in normal group. Furthermore, CQP and CIP in larynx leukoplakia group were higher than those normal group with statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Most patients’(72.9%) EGG waveform showed gradually ac?celerate phase velocity and fast close phase, which represent a spike-like shape. Conclusion Voice acoustic analysis com?bined with EGG provide objective indicators to assess degree of hoarseness, and to provide sonic evidences for prevention, recurrence, assessment and pronunciation correction of the larynx leukoplakia.

Objective To evaluate the reliability of autologous blood withdrawal during cesarean section. Methods Fifteen patients preoperatively diagnosed with pernicious placenta previa and∕or accrete by using ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging, aged 20-35 yr, weighing 55-75 kg, at≥36 weeks of gestation, were enrolled in the study. Blood containing amniotic fluid from the surgical field was collected, and the washed blood was processed using cell?salvage machine and then filtered using a leukocyte depletion filter during cesarean section. The 20 ml blood samples collected included maternal central venous blood after delivery of fetus, unwashed blood, washed blood and filtered blood. The fetal squamous cells were counted using papanicolaou staining. The concentrations of a?fetoprotein, tissue factor, endothelin?1 and histamine were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. The fetal red blood cells were counted using the acid elution method and HE staining. Results Compared with unwashed samples, the tissue factor concentrations were significantly increased, and the fetal squamous cell count, concentrations of a?fetoprotein and endothelial?1, and fetal red blood cells were decreased in the washed samples. Compared with washed samples, the fetal squamous cell count, concentrations of a?fetoprotein and fetal red blood cells were significantly decreased in filtered samples. Compared with maternal venous blood samples, the tissue factor concentrations were significantly increased, and the fetal squamous cell count and concentrations of a?fetoprotein and endothelial?1 were decreased in filtered samples. Conclusion Autologous blood withdrawn during cesarean section can be used for reinfusion in cesarean section.
