Perfusion computed tomography (CT) imaging is a kind of functional imaging technique to evaluate and determine the hepatic and portal blood flow noninvasively. It offers the significant clinical advantages in the early diagnosis, evaluation of treatment response, and prognosis assessment in chronic liver diseases. In this article,we reviewed the principle, scanning protocol, clinical applications, and advances in chronic liver diseases of hepatic perfusion CT imaging.
2.Application of transvaginal sonography and human chorionic gonadotropin for the final diagnosis of pregnancy of unknown location
Journal of Chinese Physician 2016;18(8):1127-1129,1133
Objective To evaluate the outcomes of pregnancy of unknown location (PUL) with serial of serum β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) and transvaginal sonography. Methods A retrospective study was performed to analyze the relationship between serial serum β-hCG and transvaginal sonography among 315 women who were diagnosed with nonvisible intrauterine pregnancy during Jan 2015 to Dec 2015.Results The pregnancy outcomes of 315 women included 254 intrauterine pregnancies,43 ectopic pregnancies, and 18 spontaneously resolving miscarriages or spontaneously resolving ectopic pregnancies. The serial serum β-hCG curve was classified as rising hCG levels, declining or plateauing hCG levels.Different pregnancy outcomes could exhibit as rising or declining hCG curves. Conclusions It is critical to perform two or more serial serum β-hCG examinations followed by transvaginal sonography to establish the correct diagnosis for PUL.
3.An experimental study of mild hypothermia via lateral ventricle perfusion of cool Ringer's solution in rabbits after traumatic brain injury
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(10):-
Objective To set up a new method of mild hypothermia via lateral ventricle in rabbits following traumatic brain injury (TBI). Methods Twenty-one New Zealand rabbits were used for this study. TBI was pro- duced with all the rabbits in anesthesia by using free-falling impact model. Animals were randomly divided into three groups: a TBI group, a mild hypothermia group (by perfusion of 25℃Ringer's solution via the lateral ventricle) and a control group. The contents of water and total sodium, potassium of the brain region close to traumatic brain tissue were detected and pathological changes were observed in three groups. Results The number of the injured neurons was increased significantly in both TBI group and mild hypothermia group than that in control group at 72 h after TBI (P

Journal of Audiology and Speech Pathology 1998;0(03):-
To study the effect of unilateral vocal cord paralysis on vocal vibration, EGG parameters of 46 patients were analysed. EGG of most patients were abnormal, CQ decreasing while CI, CQP and CIP increasing. The incidence of normal EGG in patients whose vocal cord located in the middle was higher than that in the para - middle. Inversely, the incidence of abnormal EGG - CQ of the former was lower than that of the latter. EGG of the group in the intermediate was abnormal. The position of paralyzed vocal cord had no effect on CI,CQP and CIP. EGG reflects the characteristics of per vibratory cycle, and is a potential technique to study the irregular vocal vibration.

Objective To analyze the cost-effectiveness of selective intraoperative laparoscopic cholangiography (LIOC) in the county level hospitals. Methods The medical costs and cost-effectiveness of 60 patients undergoing LIOC (group A) during laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) in 2014 and 52 patients undergoing LC (group B) only in 2013 at 3 county level hospitals were analyzed. Results The direct medical care costs of group A were less than that of group B significantly [(9 072 ± 1 282) Yuan vs.(10 941 ± 4 064) Yuan,t =-3.38,P =0.001],there were no significant different in indirect medical care costs between group A and group B[(2 039 ± 1 020) vs.(2 100 ± 1 172) Yuan,t =0.24,P =0.810].The cure rate was 100% in two groups;however, the cost per patient in group A was less than that in group B [(11 111 ± 2 348)vs.(13 041 ± 5 118)Yuan].The direct medical care cost of the patients who needed additional treatment in group A was significantly less than that in group B [(10 828 ± 1 101)vs.(16 533 ±1 733)Yuan,t =-11.45,P =0.000].There were no significant different in direct operational costs between group A (LIOC + LC) groups and group B (LC) [(8 378 ± 326) vs.(8 225-± 363) Yuan,t =1.96,P =0.054].Conclusions Selective LIOC is a cost-effective procedure and should be recommended in county level hospitals in which magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography is not available.

BACKGROUND: Reports of culture condition of olfactory ensheathing cells (OECs) vary. And some methods have bad reproducibility, not appropriate for actual application.OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of differential attachment, chemicals in combination with trypsin digestion to purify rat OECs in vitro and to compare the effect with differential attachment or chemicals alone.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: In vitro controlled observation of cytology was performed at the Laboratory of Department of Human Anatomy & Histology and Embryology, Fujian Medical University from June 2007 to June 2008.MATERIALS: A total of 8 SD rats, 2 days old, were provided by the Laboratory Animal Center of Fujian Medical University.METHODS: The OECs were dissociated from the postnatal rat olfactory bulbs under sterile condition, and seeded in poly-L-lysine-coated culture flask at a density of 4.0×10~8 /L for primary culture. The cells were divided into 4 groups: control group (not purified); chemicals group (5 μmol/L arabinose); differential attachement group (Nash differential attachement); combination group (Nash differential attachement to eliminate most of the fibroblasts, followed by arabinose; when the cells were confluent at 6 days, the cells were digested with 1.25 g/L trypsin for 1 minute until the processes were shrank, cells became round, with some cells floating).MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Morphological changes of the cultured OECs and NGFRp75 immunocytochemistry were observed.RESULTS: The OECs displayed a very characteristic morphological appearance. Most of OECs were bipolar or tripolar with long and slim processes. In the unpurified control group the rapidly proliferating fibroblasts were in the majority (60%) after 7 days in culture, and confluent at day 14. The OECs occupied the most in the other groups, and their appearance remained unchanged. The surviving bipolar or tripolar OECs were positive for NGFRp75. The purifity by chemicals and differential attacehment methods was low (75%), while the combination group was high (85%).CONCLUSION: The method of purifing OECs through a combination of differential attacehment, chemicals and trypsinization is effective.

Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) is a hereditary disease characterized by the progressive loss of photoreceptor cells. Disease pathology primarily affects rod photoreceptor cells first but light-insensitive cone photoreceptor bodies can survivor longer. Delivered by adeno-associated viral vector or lentiviral vector, expression of microbial-type rhodopsin, channelrhodopsin-2 or archaebacterial halorhodopsin in the survived retinal cells can substitute for the native phototransduction cascade in mouse models of retinitis pigmentosa. It can also restore light sensitivity and activate all retinal cone pathways and drive sophisticated retinal circuit functions. Thus, expression of channelrhodopsins or halorhodopsin might be a potential strategy for the restoration vision of patients with RP.
