Journal of Chongqing Medical University 1986;0(04):-
Objective: To determine if HIFU is secure and effective for the treatment of intracranial neoplasm by observing pathological regression at the focus in normal New Zealand Rabbits' brain tissue after ablation. Methods: We selected suitable doses of exposure to ab-late 12 rabbits' brain tissue, and sacrificed them successively at 1,3,7,14,28 and 60 days(d) after sonication, observing target lesions grossly and microscopically to identify the biological characteristic and pathologic changes. The ultra-structural changes were also observed immediately after sonication. Results: We took the 5s and 10s for each exposure time in the studies.Different ranges of lesions were pro-duced after different exposure time, especially on 28d,although grossly and microscopically the lesion were almost the same in early period. Finally the 10s sonicated area regressed to scar of glia, but no apparent lesion was found in the 5s area.Ultra-structural examination showed the integrity of cell and vascular structure were destructed in 10s area, but remained intact in 5s area. Conclusion: HIFU could ab-late deep localized brain tissue with little effect on the superficial brain tissue. The restoring mode of sonicated lesion is correlated with ex-posed doses, and it is reversible when using suitable dose of exposure. In conclusion,it is secure and effective to use suitable dose of HIFU in the treatment of intracranial neoplasm and some experimental data are provided for future clinical investigation.

Objective To explore the feeling of parents of children with strabismus. Methods A semi-structured interview was conducted among 20 parents of children with strabismus. The data were analyzed based on Colaizzi phenomenotogical research methods. Result The parents' feeling was classified into 4 themes:negative emotional experience, parent-child relationship disorder, social communication disorders, and lack of support system. Conclusion According to the parents' real experience and feelings, medical staffs should pay attention to parents' psychological conditions, giving them necessary knowledge and psychological nursing so as to reduce the parents' psychological tension, improve the quality of life and promote the recovery after surgery.
4.The placement of Y-shaped titanium-nickel memory alloy stent in the carina: a fundamental study in experimental canines
Journal of Interventional Radiology 2010;19(2):117-120
Objective To investigate the pathological changes of local airway tissue after inserting Y-shaped titanium-nickel memory alloy stent in carina, and to evaluate CT three-dimensional reconstruction technique in postoperative and follow-up observation. Methods Twelve healthy adult canines were enrolled in this study. Based on the information of the carina obtained from CT three-dimensional reconstruction images, the preparation of Y-shape netlike stent was made by knitting method with single Ni-Ti memory alloy wire. The stent was then inserted in canine's carina with the help of a releasing system. After the operation fiberbronchoscopy and CT three-dimensional reconstruction were performed. The animals were sacrificed 12 weeks after the procedure and the bronchus of the stenting segment was removed and sent for histopathologic examination. Results Technical success was achieved in all canines with the stent fight in the carina. The airway remained unobstructed 12 weeks after the procedure. Histopathologic examination revealed that the stent became partial epithelialization. Conclusion The Y-shaped titanium-nickel memory alloy stent has good histecompatibility and physicochemical stability and no re-stenosis of the airway develops in the follow-up period of three months. The stent-releasing technique is easy and simple. As a non-invasive and convenient exam, CT three-dimensional reconstruction technique is of great value in postoperative follow-up observation.

Chinese Journal of Gastroenterology 2016;21(10):592-596
Background:Collagen triple helix repeat containing protein-1(Cthrc1)has been reported playing an important role in liver diseases, especially in liver fibrosis, however, its effect on hepatic stellate cells proliferation is not fully clear. Aims:To investigate the effect of Cthrc1 on proliferation of hepatic stellate cells. Methods:Recombinant adenovirus vector of Cthrc1 was constructed. After injecting Ad-Cthrc1 through tail vein,mRNA and protein expressions of Cthrc1 were determined by real-time PCR and Western blotting, respectively. Liver fibrosis model was established by bile duct ligation and fed with 3,5-diethoxycarbonyl-1,4-dihydrocollidine(DDC)in mice, respectively. The liver fibrosis mice were injected with Ad-Cthrc1 or Ad-GFP through tail vein. Immunofluorescence was used to determine number of hepatic stellate cells. Results:Recombinant Cthrc1-adenovirus vector was successfully constructed. Real-time PCR and Western blotting showed that mRNA and protein expressions of Cthrc1 were increased in Ad-Cthrc1 group than in control group. HE and Masson staining demonstrated that mice model of liver fibrosis was successfully established. Immunofluorescence showed that overexpression of Cthrc1 inhibited significantly the proliferation of hepatic stellate cells. Conclusions:Recombinant adenovirus vector of Ad-Cthrc1 constructed can express stably in vivo, and inhibit the proliferation of hepatic stellate cells. Therefore,Cthrc1 may become a potential target for treatment of liver fibrosis.
