Objective To investigate behavioral and endocrinal changes following the conflict-related stress. Method Male SpragueDawley rats were exposed to stressors using Vogel conflict test. Body weight and behavioral responses in open field test were investigated during the whole procedure. Serum corticosterone level was analyzed using immunoassay. Results Compared with the control, the rats of the 1-week, 2-week and 4-week stressed group showed significantly decreased body weight. There was increasing tendency or significant difference in locomotion between the 1 -week, 2-week and 4-week stressed group and their control. And the hormone levels for the stressed animal were reliably high. Conclusions The increased locomotion, and high corticosterone level and reduced body weight in stress animal, was consistent with the features of anxiety-like disorders. Furthermore, the behavioral and endocrine changes produced by conflict-related stress could maintain a long time. The conflictrelated stress paradigm may be used as psychological stress animal mode in the future.

The magnetic molecularly imprinted polymers (MMIPs), based on the surface of magnetic nanoparticles being modified by surface grafting, have been successfully synthesized, with dibutyl phthalate (DBP) as template molecule, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as cross-linking agent and azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as initiator. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and elemental analysis were employed to characterize the MMIPs. The structure and magnetic properties of the MMIPs were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometer. The BET surface area shows that MMIPs is 380 m2/g and MNIPs is 324 m2/g. A series of static adsorption experiments were conducted to analyze its adsorption performance, which followed pseudo-second-order model by the kinetic analysis with correlation coefficient (R2) 0.9797, and Sips equation with correlation coefficient (R2) 0.999 by the isothermal analysis. The imprinting factors of diallyl phthalate (DAP), DBP and di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) were 1.53, 2.21 and 1.39 respectively, showing that MMIPs had better recognition performance for DBP. The experiment of regeneration recycles with five times showed the regeneration ability of DBP was only reduced by 12.3%.

Neurology Asia 2013;18(2):183-189
Background: It is unknown if medication-overuse headache, clinically similar to chronic tension-type
headache, has pre-attentive problems which may be related to pain or substance abuse. Methods:
Auditory frequency deviance elicited mismatch negativity was recorded from 22 patients with chronic
tension-type headache, 26 with medication-overuse headache from underlying chronic tension-type
headache and 41 healthy volunteers as controls. Their depression and anxiety scores were noted.
Results: There were no signifi cant differences in the N1 latency or amplitude to both standard and
deviant stimuli for the different groups. However, the latency and amplitude of mismatch negativity were
signifi cantly shortened and reduced at Fz, Cz, and Pz in medication-overuse headache as compared to
chronic tension-type headache and normal subjects. Anxiety levels were elevated in chronic tensiontype
headache and medication-overuse headache subjects compared to healthy controls but were not
correlated with mismatch negativity latency or amplitude in a given group.
Conclusions: In medication-overuse headache subjects, the shortened mismatch negativity latency
indicates quick involuntary attention switching to auditory change, while its reduced amplitude
indicates poor accuracy in discriminating early stimuli, which may be related to medication overuse
rather than to the head pain experienced.

Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2019;35(2):130-133
Objective To learn the true experiences of clinical nursing leaders like the head of nursing department and head nurses of a hospital in their implementation and management of narrative care for reference in effective implementation. Methods This study used purposive sampling and snowball sampling of phenomenological research methods. 13 nursing managers were selected from 3 tertiary hospitals in Jiangsu and Hebei province for a semi-structure interview. The interview focused on implementation of such care. Results Following four themes emerged from original interview materials. Namely, the team building experience of narrative care (led by the hospital leader, the establishment of the nursing psychology committee, and the formation of the department narrative nursing team), nurse training of narrative care (phased training, test of learning effects, and qualifications of psychological counselors ), practical management of narrative care (encouragement first, and pressure as auxiliary means), and evaluation of nursing managers on the narrative care (active role, difficulties in implementation). Conclusions As an effective way of psychological nursing care, narrative nursing deserves nationwide application. Success of the application depends on emphasis and support of nursing managers who are expected to pay high attention and promote narrative nursing with teamwork power, so as to develop the narrative care ability of nurses.

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of anaphylatoxin C3a in induced sputum in patients with asthma. Methods The patients with acute exacerbation of asthma treated at our department between September, 2006 and February, 2007 were included in the study. The demographic data, medical history, levels of lung function and C3a levels in induced sputum were assessed. Results A total of 33 patients were included in the study. The level of C3a in induced sputum was significantly higher in patients with acute exacerbation of asthma (2.24 ng/ml, range 1.68-5.58 ng/ml) than that in patients with asthma remission (0.7 ng/ml, range 0.24-2.31 ng/ml, P<0.05). Sputum C3a levels in the remission patients were significantly higher than those in the healthy controls (0.12 ng/ml, range 0.07-0.39 ng/ml, P<0.05). The levels of C3a in patients with severe exacerbation (4.69 ng/ml, range 2.69-6.59 ng/ml) were significantly higher than those in patients with mild exacerbation (0.25 ng/ml, range 0.09-0.40 ng/ml) and moderate exacerbation (2.21 ng/ml, range 1.16-3.41 ng/ml) (P<0.01), and were significantly higher in patients with moderate exacerbation than in those in mild exacerbation (P<0.01). The level of C3a in induced sputum was positively correlated with the number of total cell count (r=0.718, P<0.05), eosinophils (r=0.495, P<0.05) and macrophages (r=0.600, P<0.05) in patients with acute exacerbation of asthma. Conclusion Induced sputum C3a level can serve as an important clinical biomarker for clinical asthma management.
