Objective To determine the levels of vitamin D in the peripheral blood of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods Seventy-eight cases of SLE were selected as SLE group,42 cases of chronic nephritis (CN) were as CN group,and 40 cases of healthy persons were as control group.Vitamin D levels were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbant assay.The correlation of vitamin D levels in patients with SLE and 24 h urinary protein excretion,SLE disease activity (SLEDAI) score,anti-ds-DNA antibodies,complement C3 were analyzed,and the relationships between vitamin D levels and kidney damage were estimated.Results The vitamin D levels in SLE group were (13.3 ± 6.2) μ g/L,significantly lower than those in CN group [(21.4 ± 9.7) μ g/L] and control group [(20.8 ± 9.5) μ g/L] (P ＜ 0.05),and the difference was not statistically significant between CN group and control group (P ＞ 0.05).The vitamin D levels in SLE and lupus nephritis (LN) patients were significantly lower than those in SLE and non-LN patients [(9.8 ±6.1) μg/L vs.(15.9 ±7.8) μg/L,P ＜0.05].Vitamin D levels in SLE patients were negatively correlated with SLEDAI score,anti-ds-DNA antibodies and 24 h urinary protein excretion (r =-0.712,-0.682,-0.769,P ＜ 0.05),and were positively correlated with complement C3(r =0.608,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The vitamin D levels in SLE patients decrease significantly and have close relationship with disease activity.It can not only reflect disease activity,but also act as a useful marker to predict visceral involvement.

Objective:To explore therapeutic effect of neuromuscular electrical stimulation combined swallowing training in dysphagia after stroke.Methods: A total of 86 stroke patients during recovery period were selected.According to random number table, they were randomly and equally divided into pure training group (received swallowing training based on rehabilitation treatment and nursing care) and combined training group (received neuromuscular electrical stimulation based on routine training group).Therapeutic effects, scores of video fluorography (VFG) and swallowing quality of life (SWAL-QOL) questionnaire before and after treatment were compared between two groups.Results: After treatment, total effective rate of combined training group was significantly higher than that of pure training group (95.35% vs.69.77%, P=0.006).Compared with pure training group after treatment, there was significant rise in VFG score [(5.74±1.86) scores vs.(6.88±2.32) scores], and significant reduction in SWAL-QOL score [(762.66±27.22) scores vs.(648.22±29.62) scores] in combined training group, P=0.025, 0.001 respectively.Conclusion: Compared with swallowing training alone, neuromuscular electrical stimulation combined swallowing training possesses better therapeutic effects, which is better for recovery of swallowing function.

Objective To explore the risk factors of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in diabetic foot .Methods 136 patients with diabetic foot were divided into infection group (n=12) and control group(n=124) according to whether Pseudomonas aerugi-nosa infection existed .Their age ,gender ,body mass index (BMI) and complications were recorded ,and their hemoglobin ,fasting plasma glucose (FPG ) ,two hours postprandial blood glucose (2hPBG ) ,glycosylated hemoglobin A1c (GHbA1c) ,cholesterol , triglycerides ,low density lipid(LDL) ,high density lipid(HDL) ,serum albumin(SALB) were detected .Logistic regression analysis was employed to analyze the risk factors of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection .Results Incidence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infec-tion in diabetic foot was 8 .8% .Among them ,the infection incidences of elderly patients and patients with diabetic nephropathy were 11 .6% and 12 .7% ,respectively .Univariate analysis showed that male ,advanced age ,BMI ,duration of diabetes ,history of heart disease ,diabetic nephropathy ,FPG ,2hPBG ,GHbA1c ,low hemoglobin and low SALB were associated risk factors of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection(P<0 .05) .After correction of confounding factors such as male ,BMI ,history of heart disease ,2hPBG and low hemoglobin ,advanced age ,duration of diabetes ,diabetic nephropathy ,GHbA1c and low SALB were independent risk factors for Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection(P<0 .05) .Conclusion Advanced age ,duration of diabetes ,diabetic nephropathy ,GHbA1c and low SALB are independent risk factors for Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection .

Objective To understand the correlation between operating room nurses′cognition of patient safety culture and hospitals responsibility,so as to provide basis to establish patient safety measures. Methods A total of 98 operating room nurses participating the meeting were investigated by convenience sampling method with Nurse′s Organizational Climate Scale and Patient Safety Culture Assessment Scale. Results The mean score of nurses′ cognition of patient safety culture was 3.58 ± 0.30,which showed a high level. The mean score of operating room nurses′perception of psychological contract was 2.17 ± 0.58,which was below the middle level. There was a negative correlation between nurses′cognition of patient safety culture and psychological contract (P<0.05). Conclusions Hospitals responsibility need to improve urgently. Nursing administrators should improve resource guarantee, management support and team behavior,in order to promote positive nurses′consciousness and behavior of patient safety and ensure the safety of patients .

Objective To study the relationship between cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and ischemia modified albumin (IMA) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).Methods Ninety-six patients with T2DM were selected as T2DM group retrospectively,and 60 cases of healthy physical examination were selected as control group,the patient' s medical history data were collected,the IMA was detected and Doppler ultrasound examination was performed.The relationship between serum IMA level and some laboratory parameters were analyzed.Results Twenty-eight cases (29.2％,28/96) occurred CVD among 96 cases of T2DM patients.The level of IMA in T2DM group was higher than that in control group [(58.25 ± 11.84) kU/L vs.(23.38 ± 6.41) kU/L],there was significant difference (P ＜ 0.05).The levels of IMA in T2DM combined with CVD group (28 cases) and T2DM not combined with CVD group (68 cases) were(91.46 ± 13.63),(47.91 ± 9.38) kU/L; the level of IMA in T2DM combined with CVD group was higher than that in T2DM not combined with CVD group and control group,there was significant difference (P ＜ 0.05).All patients completed echocardiography,Spearman correlation analysis between IMA and echocardiography indicators showed that the level of IMA was positively correlated with left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (r =0.546,P =0.031),interventricular septal thickness (r =0.427,P =0.039),posterior wall diameter of left ventricle at end-diastolic (r =0.582,P =0.026) and left venifieular mass index (r =0.339,P =0.042),and IMA was negatively correlated with ejection fraction of left ventricle (r =-0.561,P =0.024).Multivariable Logistic regression analysis showed that IMA,high-sensitivity C reactive protein,diabetes duration,fasting blood glucose levels were independent risk factors for CVD.Conclusions Serum IMA level is significantly higher in T2DM patients.IMA level is a related risk factor for CVD.

Objective To investigate the correlation between homocysteine(Hcy) and atheroscIerosis (AS) in type 2 diabetic patients.Methods A total of 98 type 2 diabetic patients in Donghua Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yet-Sen University were enrolled in this study and served as diabetic group.Meanwhile diabetic patients were divided into aged group(aged ＞65 years old) and young and middle aged group(＜65 years old).Fortynine healthy volunteers were used as control group.Intima-media thickness(IMT) and atherosclerotic plaqlles of the extracranial common carotid artery were detected by high-resolution B-mode ultrasoograph.Fasting plasma glucose (FPG),postprandial 2 h glucose (2 hPG),glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1 c),total cholesterol (TC),total triglyceride (TG),high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),creactive protein(CRP) and Hcy were measured.Correlation analysis of Hcy and IMT with other parameters was performed.Results Hcy level in patients with type 2 diabetes were (34.15 ± 10.25) μmol/L,significantly higher than those in healthy control group((8.46 ± 3.62) μmol/L,P =0.014).Hcy level in age group((40.63 ± 11.78) μmol/L) was significantly higher than that of young and middle aged group((26.54 ±9.38) μmol/L,P =0.028).IMT value and plaque detection rate in elderly patients were (1.28 ±0.26) mm and 66.1％ (20/41),significantly higher than that in the young and middle aged group((1.02 ±0.20) mm and 38.9％,P =0.041,0.027).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that age (OR =1.46,95％ CI:1.18-6.36,P =0.029),duration of diabetes (OR =2.62,95％ CI:1.78-7.43,P ＜ 0.001),LDL-C (OR =1.54,95％CI 1.19-6.27,P =0.028),CRP(OR =1.38,95％ CI 1.11-4.84,P =0.032),Hcy(OR =2.45,95％ CI 1.34-6.61,P =0.018)) were independent risk factors for carotid AS.Conclusion The Hcy level significantly increase in type 2 diabetic patients.Hcy,age,duration of diabetes,LDL-C,CRP are independently risk factors of neck AS.

Objective To explore the significance and correlation between MCP-1 and cardiovascular complication of diabetes. Methods 65 patients with diabetes and 64 patents with IGT and 60 healthy persons as control group are chosen from a population of 1231residents at Jiangnan community in Guangzhou city. Ultrasonic inspection of carotid artery was applied to the intimae media thickness (IMT),and the levels of-MCP-1 were detected by Elisa. Result There was significant difference in the levels of MCP-1 among the normal control group, IGT group and DM group (P=0.000).The levels of MCP-1 in IGT complicated with AS patients were significantly higher than that in IGT alone patients. The levels of MCP-1 in DM complicated with AS patients were significantly higher than that in DM alone patients. The levels of MCP-1 were positively correlated with IMT in these patients. A forward LR Logistic regression analysis showed that IMT was a dependent variable, gender, MCP-1 and age are independently correlated with IMT. Conclusion MCP-1 is correlated with diabetes and its cardiovascular complication and it may be served as the target of therapy.

Diabetic retinal neurodegeneration is a serious complication of diabetes mellitus, manifested by apoptosis and gliosis, and its pathogenesis is closely related to the oxidative stress induced by high glucose levels. The increase in blood glucose in the body leads to excessive production of reactive oxygen species and the downregulation of antioxidant defense signaling pathways, which leads to oxidative stress in the body, which in turn induces apoptosis, mitochondrial damage and autophagy, resulting in diabetic retinal neurodegeneration. Antioxidant stress therapy with gene therapy, flavonoids, recombinant Ad-β-catenin carriers, and autophagy inducers to exert neuroprotective effects. In the future, more clinical trials are needed to explore the effective dosage and side effects of drugs, and to develop new drugs and treatment strategies for oxidative stress to prevent and treat diabetic retinal neurodegeneration and protect retinal nerve function.

Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy and patient satisfaction of 755 nm semiconductor laser for hair removal during different stages of auricular reconstruction. Methods: From July 2016 to September 2018, 86 patients who had ear reconstruction underwent 755 nm semiconductor laser for auricle hair removal in plastic surgery department of Tongji hospital affiliated to Tongji medical college of Huazhong university of science and technology. There were 39 males and 47 females with an average age 12 years old(from 6 to 28 years old). 28 cases were left ear, 58 cases were right ear. With random grouping, 40 patients underwent auricle hair removal treatment after posterior ear tissue expander implantation (post-operation of stage Ⅰ depilation group) and 46 patients underwent treatment after auricular reconstruction (post-operation of stage Ⅱ depilation group). Auricle hair removal treatments(pulse width 10-20 ms, wave length 755 nm, spot size 10 mm×15 mm, energy density 4-8 J/cm²) were respectively started at different intervention time. Each treatment time were 5-10 minutes. The end of the treatment was slight redness or edema of the local hairy follicle. The treatment was repeated every 4 weeks with a total of 5 times. The number of adverse reactions was recorded as while as the hair density, hair clearance rate and patient satisfaction before treatment and 6 months after the 5th depilation. Results: Patients in both groups successfully were completed the treatment and were followed up to about 6 months (23 to 25 weeks) after the last depilation treatment. There were only 2 cases with scratch in skin preparation and 2 cases with blisters in the postoperative of stage Ⅱ group. None of the other patients had adverse reactions. Hair density after treatment (27.63±7.75 bar/cm²) was less than before treatment (84.55±13.68 bar/cm²) in post-operation of stage Ⅰ depilation group. Hair density after treatment was 40.52±5.92 bar/cm² in post-operation of stage Ⅱ depilation group, less than before treatment (74.78±11.19 bar/cm²). The differences were statistically significant (both P<0.001). After hair removal, the hair density of post-treatment in the post-operation of stage Ⅰ depilation group was less than the post-operation of stage Ⅱ depilation group. The difference was statistically significant (P=0.000). The hair clearance rate of the post-operation of stage Ⅰ (67.32%) was higher than the post-operation of stage Ⅱ(45.81%). The difference was statistically significant (P<0.001). Patients’ satisfaction was 87.5% in the post-operation of stage Ⅰ and 69.5% in the post-operation of stage Ⅱ. The former was superior to the latter. Conclusions Auricle hair removal with semiconductor 755 nm laserstarted at stage Ⅰ that posterior ear tissue expander was implanted has more favorable clinical efficacy, and higher patient’s satisfaction rate.

There are a variety of post-transcriptional modifications in mRNA, which regulate the stability, splicing, translation, transport and other processes of mRNA, followed by affecting cell development, body immunity, learning and cognition and other important physiological functions. m⁶A modification is one of the most abundant post-transcriptional modifications widely existing in mRNA, regulating the metabolic activities of RNA and affecting gene expression. m⁶A modified homeostasis is critical for the development and maintenance of the nervous system. In recent years, m⁶A modification has been found in neurodegenerative diseases, mental diseases and brain tumors. This review summarizes the role of m⁶A methylation modification in the development, function and related diseases of the central nervous system in recent years, providing potential clinical therapeutic targets for neurological diseases.
