OBJECTIVE:To improve the quality of pharmacist consultation, provide real-time,precise and whole-process medi-cine guidance and to promote rational drug use. METHODS:The functions of electronic pharmacy consultation system(EPCS)in our hospital were introduced, and its effects were evaluated. RESULTS:The system had several modules as multiple dimensional knowledge assistant system,real-time prescription checking engine, electronic consultation record method, pharmacist workload and quality statistical analysis. EPCS provided convenient information access, prescription auditing, consultation record and statisti-cal analysis so as to improve consultation efficiency and accuracy. Compared with before using EPCS,EPCS had enhanced speed of inquiring information by 3.75 times, prescription auditing by 4 times, consultation record by 6 times and statistical analysis by 20 times;return visit rate to potients increased from 0.03% to 0.34%. The number of consulting questions increased month by month. The type of consultation question, the identity of the consultant and others could be classified statistically based on the sys-tem. CONCLUSIONS:EPCS helps pharmacist to build a more scientific and effective consultation platform, and promotes rational drug use in the hospital.

Objective:To investigate the content rationality of antimicrobial agent thimerosal in chloramphenicol eye drops. Meth-ods:Chloramphenicol eye drops with thimerosal at different concentrations were prepared, and the antimicrobial activity was studied. Results:When the test solution contained 0. 02 mg·ml-1 thimerosal, the antimicrobial activity could achieve the requirement in the pharmacopoeia. Conclusion:Thimerosal at different concentrations in the commercial chloramphenicol eye drops all can reach the anti-microbial effect. However, the thimerosal concentration in some eye drops is unreasonably high, which should be reduced.

The effective components are the material basis for efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), also the core of its quality control. This paper focused on two key scientific issues that how do the effective components form?, How can we improve the effective components?, combining with examples of our group's research, to dis-cuss the research thoughts, technical methods for TCM quality-design. This paper provided a methodological refer-ence for the study of TCM quality-control.

Objective To study the characteristics of susceptibility weighted imaging (SWI) and it's role in glioma classfication. Methods 45 glioma patients with pathologically confirmion, underwent preopera-tive plain MRI, enhanced MRI and SWI examination. By using double blind method, the score of T1 WI, T2WI, enhanced T1 WI, SWI and enhanced SWI were acquired to display enhancing tumor, peritumoral edema, tumor hemorrhage and tumor vein. The tumor volume of low signal areas was measured by using measurement software to acquire the bleeding of tumor. Results In 26 cases of high grade gliomas,18 patients with intratu-moral, multiple patchy low signal cords in varying degrees, which were proved by pathology as tumor hemorrhage and tumor blood vessels; in 19 case of low grade gliomas, 10 cases occured a few spots, linear low signal in tumor, which were proved by pathology as tumor hemorrhage; the bleeding of high grade gliomas was higher than that of the low level group ( P < 0.05 ). SWI was superior to T, WI, T2 WI on displaying tumor hemorrhage and tumor vein(P<0. 05). Conclusion Different grades of glioma show obvious different display on SWI, and SWI probably be helpful for evaluation of glioma grading preoperatively.

Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(10):797-800
Objective To study the characteristics of diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in brain tumor and it's diagnosis and differential diagnosis value. Methods Thirty-nine patients with brain tumors proven by pathologically (10 meningioma,17 glioma,12 metastatic tumors) were enrolled,by using Philips Achieva 1.5 T MRI,conventional MRI and DTI were underwent on them, fractional anisotropy (FA) maps, apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) maps and three dimensional white matter fiber bundle map were reconstructed in the workstation. The core substance of the tumor area and the contralateral mirror area were selected as the region of interest, and FA and ADC values of them were measured, and t test was performed. Results The FA values of meningioma, metastases tumors and gliomas were 0.36 ± 0.08,0.28 ± 0.03,0.18 ± 0.06,respectively,and the differences among them were significant( P < 0.05).The ADC values of meningioma, metastases tumors and gliomas were 1.72 ± 0.10,1.52 ± 0.22,1.34 ± 0.14,respectively,and the differences among them were significant( P < 0.05).Conclusion DTI has high clinical value in identification of meningiomas, metastatic tumors and glioma.

Object To investigate the nootropic activity of emodin 8 O ? D glucopyranoside, the active principle of Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata(PMEG), and its mechanism of action Methods Nootropic activity was evaluated with step down test of mice, and its nootropic mechanism studied by its antiacetylcholinesterase (anti AchE) effect on mice brain in vivo and in vitro as determined by pectrophotometry Results PMEG (ig) significantly improved the learning and memory of both normal and intelectual deficit mice induced by scopolamine PMEG showed dose dependent inhibition of AchE, and the antiacetylcholinesterase effect is reversible both in vivo and in vitro In acute experiment, the half recovery time of AchE is 115 min, and 165 min in chronic experiment Conclusion PMEG showed good nootropic activity, and it is a reversible AchE inhibitor

OBJECTIVE:To explore the role of clinical pharmacists providing pharmaceutical care for hemodialysis patients complicated with subacute infective endocarditis(IE). METHODS:Clinical pharmacists participated in the anti-infection treatment for a hemodialysis patients complicated with subacute IE,according to the antimicrobial spectrum, laboratory and imaging find-ings,and patient’s condition changes, assisted physician to optimize the regimen, clinical pharmacists suggested to give imipenem cilastatin sodium after hemodialysis, adjust the initial dose of teicoplanin and give 1 g vancomycin firstly, and maintained 0.5 g af-ter hemodialysis, then adjust its dose based on blood plasma concentration;during treatment, clinical pharmacists closely observed the treatment effect and adverse reactions, providing blood plasma concentration monitoring, medication reminding and medication education. RESULTS:Physicians adopted parts of suggestions of clinical pharmacists,no fever was found, hemogram returned to normal,no abnormal echocardiography, and patient discharged. CONCLUSIONS:Clinical pharmacists guarantee the safety and ef-ficacy of drug use by adopting dose of anti-infection drugs, evaluating efficacy, monitoring adverse reactions and vancomycin plas-ma concentration, and assisting physicians to optimize treatment regimen.
