Objective In the prosthetic socket design process, the high cost and radiation deficiency caused by CT scanning which is a routine way to obtain the cross section image of the residual limb remain problems. Ultrasonic measuring approach is proposed to gain the bones and skin contour of the residual limb. MethodsAn ultrasonic measuring device to get the multiple ultrasonic images of the residual limb was developed firstly, a compound algorithm to reconstruct the multiple images into 2D image was designed, and then the feature extraction on the bones and skin was made. Results Conclusion Comparing with the like-kind cross sectional scanning technique, the ultrasonic measuring method has the characteristic of no radiation and low cost.

Objective To explore the clinical head nurses'effective competence through interviewing nursing supervisors by in depth interview method and to provide reference for constructing training content for clinical head nurses in Macau and Guangzhou. Methods In depth interview was carried out among 8 nursing supervisors from 2 hospitals in Macau and 9 nursing supervisors from 2 tertiary hospitals in Guangzhou.Content analysis was utilized through organizing records and then forming written documentations. Results The themes were drawn after the interview, which were good moral character accomplishment, good communication skill, prospective and creative thinking, favorable executive ability.Forwardlooking and innovative were significantly different in Macau and Guangzhou. Conclusions The effective clinical head nurses' competence is multi-faceted,the results can provide reference for selection, evaluation and training for head nurses.

Objective To investigate risk factors and prognosis of hemorrhagic transformation(HT)in acute cerebral infarction patients treated by intravenous thrombolysis with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator(rt-PA).Methods All 128 patients with acute cerebral infarction were treated with intravenous rtPA within 6 hours from stroke onset. The clinic records and laboratory datas of pre-and post-treatment were statistically analyzed between HT group and non-HT group to find potential risk factors to HT and contributors of prognosis. Results HT occurred in 29 patients(22.66%),including 16 patients with symptomatic ICH(12.50%)and 2 patients died(6.90% of HT).Logistic regression analysis showed that history of atrial fibrillation(OR =1.293,95% CI 1.224-1.589,P =0.001),CT density changes with mass effect or edema(OR =2.452,95% CI 1.132-3.309,P =0.034),diastolic blood pressure ≥ 100 mm Hg before thrombolytic therapy(1 mm Hg =0.133 kPa,OR =9.265,95% CI 1.435-59.836,P =0.019),blood glucose ≥ 11.1 mmol/L(OR =3.037,95% CI 0.252-57.593,P =0.047),NIHSS score > 15 points (OR =8.752,95% CI 1.035-30.285,P =0.023)and thrombolysis time > 3 h(OR =98.74,95% CI 5.067-186.120,P =0.002)are independent risk factors for HT; among these factors, baseline blood glucose(OR =3.265,95 % CI 0.435-59.863,P =0.045),NIHSS score(OR =10.453,95 % CI 5.647-38.185,P =0.003)and thrombolysis time(OR =2.541,95% CI 1.098-51.086,P =0.017)also are prediction factors of the prognosis of HT.Conclusion Risk factors associated with HT are diastolic blood pressure before thrombolysis, glucose level, degree of neurological deficits,CT early changes, atrial fibrillation and thrombolytic time.Glucose level, neurological deficits and thrombolysis time affects the prognosis of patients.

ObjectiveTo investigate clinical features and outcomes in acute ischemic stroke patients with remote symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICHr) after intravenous thrombolysis.MethodsThe acute ischemic stroke patients with sICHr after intravenous thrombolysis therapy were enrolled retrospectively. The clinical data were collected and the related literature was analyzed and summarized.ResultsA total of 6 acute ischemic stroke patients with sICHr were enrolled, including 4 males.Three patients had a history of using antiplatelet agents, 2 with atrial fibrillation, 4 with hypertension, 3 with previous stroke history, 4 with smoking history, and 4 had sICHr at 2 h after intravenous thrombolysis.Of the 14 hemorrhagic foci (except in the infarct areas), 10 were in the cerebral cortex.Three patients died within 1 week, and 1 was in a persistent vegetative state. Conclusions SICHr after intravenous thrombolysis in patients with acute ischemic stroke is mainly located in the cerebral cortex. The outcomes in acute ischemic stroke patients with SICHr after intravenous thrombolysis are poor, and the mortality is high.

Aminopeptidase H (APH) is an universally distributed aminoendopeptidase in the tissue of many organism. However, it is hard to investigate its mechanism underlying the catalysis and the function in cell. In this paper, the full DNA sequence of this enzyme was cloned from chicken liver, then subcloned to the vector pET22 b(+). The recombined vector was transformed into E. coli Rosetta(DE3), and the APH gene was expressed by the induction of IPTG. It was found the recombinant protein exhibited same mo lecular weight as authentic APH on SDS-PAGE analysis; the expression level increased with induction time and approached maximum of 94.7 mg/L till 6 hours, which contained 16.7% of the total protein. Moreover, this recombinant protein showed similar prop erties of subunit composition, thermal stability and optimum pH with native APH, based on the enzymatic assay, purification and analysis of enzymological properties. Therefore, it is confirmed that APH was expressed in this prokaryote system with a high-level of 1636 u/L aminopeptidase activity. These results would help to elucidate the catalysis mechanism and biological function of APH by providing enough material.
