Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma 2014;23(12):757-760
Chimeric antigen receptor-transduced-T (CAR-T) cells shows strong cytotoxicity to the tumor with specific antigen by CTL effects and cytokines releasing without MHC-restriction.As multiple clinical trials from cancer centers around the West countries reported recent years,anti-CD19-CAR T cells can not only induce complete remission of B-cell malignancies resistant, but also eliminate the minimal residual disease (MRD) at the molecular level. It is believed that the obstacles from bench to clinic will be cleared and CAR will become one of the main cancer therapies with breakthroughs in comprehensive treatment of tumors.
5.Epidemiological characteristics of rubella in Wuxi City from 2015 to 2023
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2025;37(1):65-68
Objective:
To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of rubella in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province from 2015 to 2023, so as to provide the basis for rubella prevention and control.
Methods:
Data of rubella surveillance cases and laboratory tests were collected through the Chinese Measles Surveillance Information Report Management System. The temporal, regional and demographic distribution of confirmed rubella cases were analyzed using the descriptive epidemiological method.
Results:
A total of 2 167 rubella surveillance cases were reported in Wuxi City from 2015 to 2023, including 154 confirmed rubella cases, with an average annual reported incidence of 0.25/105. All the confirmed cases were laboratory-confirmed, and the positive rate of laboratory testing was 7.11%. The main clinical symptoms were rash (96.75%) and fever (86.36%). The incidence of rubella peaked in 2015 and 2019, with sporadic cases in other years. Rubella incidence exhibited a distinct seasonal pattern, and the prevalent months were from February to May. Xishan District and Huishan District had the higher reported incidences, at 0.44/105 and 0.42/105, respectively. There were 101 male confirmed rubella cases and 53 female cases, with a male-to-female ratio of 1.91∶1. The incidence was higher in males than in females (0.32/105 vs. 0.18/105, P<0.05). The majority of cases were aged 19 to <46 years, with 112 cases accounting for 72.73%. There were 43 workers (27.92%) and 27 housekeepers and unemployed individuals (17.53%). The rubella containing vaccine immunization rate among the confirmed rubella cases was 12.99%, which was lower than the 36.20% among the cases excluding measles and rubella (P<0.05). The majority of the individuals aged 19 years and above had unknown immunization histories.
Conclusions
The reported incidence of rubella in Wuxi City remained low from 2015 to 2023. The disease was prevalent in winter and spring, and the cases mainly distributed in Xishan District and Huishan District. Individuals aged 19 to <46 years, males and workers were key populations for prevention and control.

Objective To investigate the expression levels of miR-146a in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells ( PBMCs ) of patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy ( DPN ) and their correlation with the disease severity. Methods The expression levels of miR-146a in the PBMCs were measured by using real time PCR in 62 patients with type 2 diabetes (32 patients without DPN, 30 with DPN) and 33 healthy individuals. The correlation of miR-146a expression with clinical parameters was analyzed. Results The expression level of miR-146a in patients withtype2diabetesmellituswassignificantlylowerthanthatinthehealthyindividuals((1.92±1.99vs4.15±1.56, P<0. 05). Furthermore, the miR-146a level was significantly lowered in diabetic patients with DPN as compared with thosewithoutDPN(1.22±1.61vs2.51±2.00,P<0.05). TheexpressionlevelsofmiR-146ainpatientswithDPN were positively correlated with duration of diabetes, blood glucose, and Toronto clinical scoring system scores. Conclusion The decreased expression of miR-146a in patients with DPN is correlated with the severity of DPN.
10.Se-Hg Dual-element Labeling Strategy for Selectively Recognizing Selenoprotein and Selenopeptide

Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2015;(9):1265-1271
An endogenous element-label plus exogenous element-tag strategy was proposed for inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry ( ICP-MS) to screen and discriminate a family of ultratrace but biological important biomolecules. The feasibility of this novel idea has been demonstrated when setting seleno ( SeCys) and Se-containing ( SeMet) proteins ( peptides) as an example. Se-label naturally occurring in the biomole-cules acts an identifier for picking them up out of large amount of various coexisting proteins ( peptides) , and CH3 Hg-tag that can bind to SeCys but not SeMet fulfills the task of discriminating seleno and Se-containing ones based on the Se and Hg signals on ICP-MS. After confirmed using SeCys and GPx1, the Se-Hg dual-element labeling strategy together with ICP-MS was applied to screen and discriminate seleno and Se-contai-ning proteins ( peptides) in the water-soluble extracts of Se-enriched yeast, and seven selenoproteins ( pep-tides) were detected with both 202 Hg and 82 Se signals out of fifteen Se-containing species using RPLC/ICP-MS, providing valuable information for further identification using a high-resolution structure-selective mass spectrometer. This endogenous element-label plus exogenous element-tag dual-element approach implies that ICP-MS is not only able to quantify targeted proteins ( peptides) but also helpful to recognize targeted proteins during a discovery-based proteomic study.
