Objective To study the effects of recombinant human growth hormone(rhGH) on the treatment for valve replacement postoperative in rheumatic heart disease associated cardiac eaehex. Methods Fortytwo patients with rheumatic heart disease associated cardiac eachexia were divided into two groups.Group one(n=20,rhGH group) received standard enteral nutrition (15 kal·kg-1 · d-1)with rhGH 10U injection subeutaneously from postoperation day 7 to day 14 and group two(n = 22,eontrol group) received standard enteral nutrition (15 kal·kg-1· d-1) for the same period.Haemoglobin, serum total protein, serum albumin, blood glucose, handgrip exercise and triceps skin_fold thickness were determined.Meehanieal ventilation, hypostatie pneumonia incidence rate, and length of stay were observed. Results The levels of serum total protein, serum albumin and blood glucose eoneentration in the rhGH group at the 14th day were inereased significantly compared to that in the control group(P <0.01).Haemoglobin, triceps skinfold thiekness and handgrip exercise in rhGH group were significantly different from those in the control group(P <0.05).Postoperative meehanieal ventilation time, intensive care unit time, hospital stay time were signifieantly shorter than those in the eontrol group (P < 0.05), and hypostatie pneumonia was significantly lower than that in the eontroi group(P < 0.01).Conclusions The rhGH can obviously improve anabolie effects of patients with rheumatic heart disease associated cardiac eachexia whieh can reduce hypostatie pneumonia and shorten postoperative hospital stay time.

Objective To evaluate the curative effect of potassium magnesium aspartate on arrhythmia and heart function in valve replacement postoperative patients of rheumatic heart disease. Methods Two hundred and eighty patients with rheumatic heart disease were divided into 2 groups in random, with no statistical significance. Treatment group (n=155) were received i.v. potassium magnesium aspartate 40 ml every day and control group (n=125) were only given conventional therapy. At the same time they were given same treatment. Blood magnesium level, blood potassium levels, arrhythmia incidences and heart function were also observed. Results Blood magnesium and potassium levels of the treatment group were higher than those of the control group (P

80%). The resulting bulk cultures were mainly comprised of a CD56~- subset of ??T cells. The expression of V?1, V?2 and V?3 gene families in the ex vivo multiplied ??T cells from TIL and PBMC of patients with NPC, and PBMC of normal control was demonstrated by RT-PCR. Conclusion The ??TIL of NPC can be multiplied in vitro for the first time. The subsets (V?1, V?2 and V?3) of ??T cells from PBMC of healthy individuals, PBMC and TIL of patients with NPC, can also be multiplied in vitro, and the experiment lays an experimental foundation of using ??T cells for the cellular adoptive therapy in patients with NPC.

Alzheimer disease (AD) is a significant threat on health in elderly people. Many traditional Chinese herbs and their prescriptions show fairly good effect in treatment of AD.We review the results on treatment of AD from three aspects of AD' s pathogenesis, in which the natural herbs were mainly used, and present the way to the problem to be solved.

Acta Universitatis Medicinalis Anhui 2015;(11):1693-1695
We built rats model of endometriosis applying autologus endometrial transplants to compare the graft vol-ume of the modeling rats before and after dosing, serum tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α)levels in rats, and the expressions of vascular endothelial cell growth factor(VEGF)in ectopic endometrium. To compare with the control group, the graft volume of DingKunDan group was reduced and the serum TNF-αlevel declined ,and also the ex-pression of VEGF in ectopic endometrium was reduced.Their differences were statistically significant (P <0.05). DingKunDan can inhibit the growth of ectopic endometrium in endometrosis model rats. The mechanism may be re-lated to the decrease of the serum TNF-αlevel and the VEGF expression.

Objective To summarized the management of Fournier’s gangrene. Methods This series included 16 patients with Fournier’s gangrene (all male;mean age,51 years).Of them,13 cases had scrotal gangrene and 3 had dermal gangrene of penis.Bacterial culture was performed in 14 cases and 9 were positive. All the 16 patients underwent surgical treatment including incisions, aggressive debridement, drainage, irrigation, and antibiotic therapy;of them 4 patients received hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Results Thirteen patients underwent phase Ⅱ suture and recovered.Three patients died;of them 2 died of septicemia and 1 elderly patient who had earlier developed renal dysfunction died of multi-organ failure. Conclusions Mangement of Fournier’s gangrene primarily consists of early and aggressive debridement, administration of broad-spectrum antibiotics and sufficient local drainage if available, hyperbaric oxygen therapy may be used to promote the healing of tissue wound.

Objective To evaluate short term effects of a single photodynamic therapy (PDT) treatment with visudyne (CIBA Vision Corp.) for choroidal neovascularization (CNV) in age ralated macular degeneration (AMD). Methods Thirty cases (35 eyes) diagnosed as AMD patients with classic CNV were treated with PDT. The data of visual acuity testing, fluorescein angiography (FFA), indocyanine green angiography (ICGA) and optic coherence tomography (OCT) were used to evaluate the effects of a single treatment of PDT before and 1 week, 1 ,3 month after treatment. Results The visual acuity of 34 eyes were stable or improved in 3 months follow up;and the visual acuity of 1 eye was decreased. Decrease or dispearance of fluorescein leakage from CNV was noted in 19 eyes. No serious complication occurred. Conclusion Single treatment of PDT for CNV in AMD can achieve short term decrease or cessation of fluorescein leakage from CNV without loss of visual acuity.

Objective To study the clinical effects of low dose mifepristone together with methyltestosterone on the treatment of climacteric dysfunctional uterine bleeding(DUB).Methods Seventy patients with DUB were underwent dilatation and curettage of the uterus and divided into treatment group(n=35) and control group(n=35).The patients in the treatment group were treated with mifepristone and methyltestosterone, and those of the control group were treated with norlutin. The amenorrhea, the changes of endocrine and the pathology of endometrium were observed. Results All the patients were amenorrhea during the period of taking medicine and the regular menses was recovered after the treatment.Eight patients were menopause after the treatment. The levels of FSH,LH and P were decreased. The endometrium were atrophied and the anemia was improved. Conclusion Low dosage of mifepristone with methyltestosterone can prevent endometrial hyperplasis and it is safe and effective for the treatment of climacteric dysfunctional uterine bleeding.

Tianjin Medical Journal 2015;(6):690-693
Hypoxia and hypoxia-induced factors (HIFs) are main regulators for tumor stem cells, metastasis-initiating cells and their differentiated progenies to adapt to the environment which lacks oxygen and nutrient in the process of cancer development. HIFs are up-regulated in many tumors, including leukemia, glioblastoma, melanoma, prostate cancer, breast cancer and pancreatic cancer, in where they are especially highly expressed in hypoxic regions. HIFs activation can induce expression of numerous stem cell related genes and multidrug resistance genes, which may play important roles in tumour and stem cell-mediated self-renewing, energy metabolism alternation, invasion, metastasis, angiogenesis and treatment resis?tance of neoplastic cells. Consequently, it will provide new clues for cancer therapy after investigating the role of HIFs in tar?geted regulation and metabolic pathway modulation in various stem cell-mediated tumor cells.
