Purpose: To study the treatment of metastasis of late digestive tract cancer?Methods:58 patients with late digestive tract cancer were divided into two groups. One group (reference group) of patients 28 cases were underwent chemotherapeutic treatment while another (treatment group) 30 cases were treated with DDP by CHPP. Results:Through DDP by CHPP (treatment group) the treatment show effectiveness as much 63.3% higher than that of reference group as 39.3%. This indicates the fact that there were significant differences between the groups ( P 0.05)Conclusions: DDP with Cisplatin by CHPP on patients with late digestive tract cancer, especially those patients followed by ascites, can evidently enhance the effectiveness of the treatment.

Objective:To analyze the failure factors in root canal therapy(RCT)by analysis of the failed cases.Methods:215 teeth of 206 patients were analyzed according to former treatment records,clinical examination,pretreatment radiographs,and root canal exploration during endodontic retreatment.Results:67.9% of failed teeth showed apical radiolucency,12.6% showed under-filled canal material without apical radiolucent area,and 8.4% involved coronal leakage.When examined with X ray,84.2% of teeth indicated under-filling,and most canals of premolars and molars had poor taper.Most missed root canals were found in maxillary first molars and premolars.18.1% of teeth had complications such as ledge and apical transportation.Conclusions:The factors associated with RCT failure involve cleaning,obturation and poor seal of root canal system resulted from inadequate shaping.Coronal leakage and missed canals also contribute to the endodontic treatment failure.

OBJECTIVE: To establish an HPLC method for the determination of the concentration of vancomycin in human serum. METHODS: Serum samples were centrifuged after serum protein was precipitated by 20% metaphosphoric acid. The separation was performed on Hypersil C18 column with mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-0.012 5 mol?L-1 potassium dihydrogen phosphate buffer (10 ∶ 90) at flow rate of 0.8 mL?min-1. The detection wavelength was set at 236 nm and column temperature was set at 25 ℃. RESULTS: The average relative recovery rate of vancomycin in low, medium and high concentrations (2.5,30.8,150.4 mg?L-1) were 99.8%, 101.1% and 98.9% respectively. The inter-day and intra-day RSD were less than 2.5%(n=5). The limit detection of vancomycin in serum was 2.0 mg?L-1. The linear range was within 2.0～170.0 mg?L-1(r=0.999 8). CONCLUSION: The method is simple, accurate, and rapid for the monitoring and phamacokinetic studies of vancomycin in human serum.

Objective: To explore the advantage of RR-Lorenz plot (RR-LP) in analyzing the patients of sinus rhythm with long RR interval.
Methods: A total of 308 RR-LP patients with long RR interval were retrospectively studied. The patients were divided into 7 groups according to the type of long RR intervals. ① Sinus bradycardia with arrhythmia group, n=63,②Repeated transient sinus arrest group, n=16, ③Ⅱ° sino-atrial block group, n=14, ④Ⅱ° atrial ventricular block (Ⅱ° AVB) group, n=47, ⑤ Un-passed atrial premature beats (APB) group, n=28, ⑥ Atrial premature beats group, n=72 and ⑦ Premature ventricular beats group, n=68. We analyzed the patients of RR interval greater than 1500 ms with ambulatory electrocardiogram record.
Results: ①RR-LP of sinus bradycardia with arrhythmia group showed a single distributing area with 1500 ms for the origin of transverse and longitudinal axis with B line slope at 1, tilt angle of 45°.②RR-LP of repeated transient sinus arrest,Ⅱ° sino-atrial block,Ⅱ° AVB and APB groups showed special four distributing areas with B line slope at (0.51 ± 0.01), tilt angle of (23.04 ± 0.50) °, B line slope at 0.6, tilt angle of (27°), B line slope at (0.57 ± 0.21), tilt angle of (25.69 ± 9.59)° and B line slope at (0.50 ± 0.01), tilt angle of (22.59 ± 0.54) ° respectively.③RR-LP of premature beats groups showed special four regional distributing areas, B line slope for atrial premature beats was at (0.38 ± 0.12), tilt angle of (17.06 ± 5.22) ° and B line slope for ventricular premature beats was at (0.07 ± 0.05), tilt angle of (3.02 ± 2.39) °.
Conclusion: RR-LP in patients of sinus rhythm with long RR interval had speciifc morphology and distribution features, the local abnormality could be found in a plane via all RR intervals which provided a differential diagnosis for repeated occurrence of short RR interval.

Mitochondria DNA was isolated from darkgrown shoots of Xi Feng A according to the procedure reported previously. Mitochondria DNA was digested with EcoR1 completely, and ligated with pUC19 vector DNA which was digested with EcoR1. The ligated DNA was transformed into E. coli JM101. The transformants were selected on LB medium which containing ampicillin 50ug/ml. All of the bacterial clones were hybridized with 32P-labelled maize 26S rRNA gene, seven positive clones were obtained. The plasmid DNAs were isolated from the clones and digested with EcoR1 and southern transferred to NC paper. The membrance was hybridized with maize 26S rRNA probe. One clone which a shortest hybridization band (1.3kb) was named pXMT1.

Objective To explore the efficacy of multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA)combined with fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)and comparative genomie hybridization (CGH)combined with FISH in genetic analysis of chorionic villi specimen(CVS)of spontaneous abortion.Methods CGH+FISH and MLPA+FISH were used for genetic analysis of 29 CVS from spontaneous abortion and 6 normal CVS from selective abortion,in the mean time,those results were compared with conventional eytogenetic karyotyping.Results The report time were 40 hours in MLPA+FISH and 120 houm in CGH+FISH.The mean time of chorionic villi culture was(240±72)hours.The successful rate of specimen analysis were 97%(34/35)in CGH,100%(35/35)in MLPA,100%(35/35)in FISH and 91%(32/35)in conventional cytogenetic karyotyping.Apart from 1 case failed in CGH analysis,the results from MLPA+FISH were almost similar to that from CGH+FISH,however,that 1 specimen failed in CGH were detected successfully by MLPA+FISH.The discrepancy rate were 13%(4/31)in CGH+FISH and 12%(4/32)in MLPA+FISH respectively when compared with conventional cytogenetic analysis.Conclusions MLPA+FISH analysis present shorter detecting time and achieve 100%tale of successful report.This combined method was an important adjuvant approach to conventional cytogenetic karyotyping in CVS from spontaneous abortion.

Object To investigate the antagonistic effect of scutellarin on the toxicity of selenium in human liver cells L-02. Methods MTT method was used to observe the effects of scutellarin and selenium on cell growth. The morphological changes of cells were observed by fluorescent microscope. The MDA level, thiol content, and total antioxidative capacity of cells were also measured. Results The optimum condition for scutellarin to promote cell growth was 0.5 mmol/L in 48 h culture period. Comparing with the only selenium treated group, 0.5 mmol/L scutellarin significantly antagonized the inhibition of cell growth caused by 1 and 5 ?mol/L selenium, suppressed the selenium-induced cell damage and the increase of MDA content, as well as increased the thiol content and cell antioxidation capacity. Conclusion Scutellarin markedly antagonizes the toxicity of selenium in human liver cells L-02 by inhibiting lipid peroxidation and promoting cellular antioxidation capacity.
