China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(07):-
Tiangui,a specific terms in TCM,is a special material that can regulate human reproduction and development. It stems from congenital kidney essence and is nourished by acquired nutrients with the nature of time-limit,rhythmicity and status. Tiangui promotes abundant CHONG meridian with unobstructed REN meridian, participates in the production and regulation of menstruation, and prepares for conception of women. According to the holism of TCM,person is a unified whole,Tiangui's generation and functional role must be completed under the condition of normal five viscera' function, especially the sufficient kidney essence, although the 'to'and 'exhaustion'of Tiangui is directly affected and regulated by congenital kidney essence. Therefore the synergistic effect of the five viscera can not be ignored on Tiangui, although the congenital kidney essence occupies an important position.

Objective To investigate the significance of the expression of serum LDH and β2-MG in predicting survival of NHL patients and there correlations with clinical parameters. Methods The serum levels of LDH and β2-MG of 429 patients with NHL were measured by rate method and immunoturbidimetry.Besides, the clinical reference of the patients such as gender, age,B symptoms, clinical stages, extranodal sites and Karnofsky evaluation were summarized and grouped. All patients' survival status were achieved via phone and letter. All statistical analyses were performed using the SPSS program for Windows (version 16.0).Results The levels of LDH and β2-MG in age,B symptom, the advanced stage, extranodal sites≥2,Karnofsky evaluation were obviously higher than their counterpart and the difference was significant (P<0.001). The median of LDH and β2-MG lever in age group was 229 U/L,190 U/L, 2.4 mg/L,1.7 mg/L. In B symptom was 260 U/L,192 U/L,2.3 mg/L, 1.7 mg/L. In clinical stage was 252 U/L, 175 U/L, 2.5 mg/L, 1.6 mg/L. In extranodal sites group was 278 U/L,195 U/L,2.4 mg/L,1.8 mg/L.In Karnofsky evaluation group was 250 mg/L,195 mg/L,2.2 mg/L,1.8 mg/L.LDH level of invasive lymphoma was significantly higher than that of indolent ones (median 211U/L,175 U/L,P=0.002),but there were no difference in the 32-MG level (P=0.937). There were no statistical significance about LDH and β2-MG levels in gender and cell type (P>0.05).Overall survival rates were different between the abnormal LDH group and the normal LDH group (χ2=119.029, P<0.001).Overall survival rates were different between the elevated β2-MG group and the normal β2-MG group (χ2 =104.733,P<0.001).Overall survival rates of the abnormal LDH/β2-MG group was significantly lower than that of normal group (x2=192.326,P<0.001).Multivariate analysis in Cox regression showed that LDH,β2-MG,age,clinical stages, extranodal sites, Karnmofsky evaluation and aggressive were independent prognostic factors. Conclusion The level of serum LDH and β2-MG can be taken as an auxiliary clinical index to evaluate the prognosis of the NHL patients.

Chinese Journal of Radiology 2017;51(4):304-307
Objective To compare the image quality and radiation dose of CTA of the kidney in patients using routine CT and the spectral imaging combination of different scanning protocols with the adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction 2.0 algorithm (ASIR 2.0). Methods A total of 90 patients who had undergone a CTA of the kidney were divided into three groups (A, B and C), with 30 patients in each group. Group A underwent a routine CT examination, and the scan parameters are:120 kVp, 30 to 650 mA, rotation time 0.5 s/r, scan FOV 50 cm × 50 cm;while groups B and C underwent spectral imaging protocol 1 and 2, the scan parameters of spectral imaging protocol 1 and 2 are:rapid dual kVp (80-140 kVp) switching in 0.25 ms, 375 mA and 360 mA, rotation time 0.7 s/r and 0.6 s/r, scan FOV 36 cm × 36 cm and 32 cm × 32 cm, respectively. All images were reconstructured using ASIR 2.0. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) of all images were calculated when the kidney CTA was completed. Each subjective image evaluation used a 5-point scoring method and was conducted by two independent radiologists. The CT dose index (CTDIvol) and dose-length product (DLP) were recorded, and the mean value was calculated. The DLP was converted to the effective dose (ED). All data were compared with Kruskal-Wallis test and one-way ANOVA. Results The energy level of 49 to 56 keV was found to provide the best CNR for displaying CTA of the kidney. There were significant differences in CT values, noise, SNR, CNR and subjective score between groups B, C and A (P<0.05), and there was no significant differences in CT values, noise, SNR, CNR and subjective score between groups B and C (P>0.05). There were significant differences in ED among groups A, B and C (P<0.05), and the ED of groups A, B and C were (8.2±1.2), (5.2± 0.9) and (4.4 ± 0.7) mSv, respectively. Conclusion Spectral imaging with different scanning protocols can more effectively reduce the radiation dose than the routine CT scan mode for a kidney CTA while still maintaining diagnostic image quality, and protocol 2 of spectral imaging in our study is recommended.

Objective To explore the relationship between glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency and type 2 diabetes and to provide reference for clinical diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of Type 2 diabetes. Methods Subjects were selected from our hospital, including 173 cases of healthy volunteers assigned to the control group;1 95 cases with type 2 diabetes conforming to the diagnostic criteria of WHO were assigned to the diabetic group.97 cases were diagnosed with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency in our hospital,of whom 82 cases were assigned to simple glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency group, and 1 7 cases were assigned to the diabetes with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency group. The correlation of glucose-6-phos-phate dehydrogenase activity and diabetes was measured by each detected value. Results Compared with the control group, the glu-cose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity and RBC count in diabetic group were higher(P <0.05).Positive correlations between glu-cose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity and RBC count in the two groups were significant(P <0.05).HbA1c and FBG showed a significant positive correlation in the control group, diabetic group and diabeties with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency group(P <0.05).But there was no significant correlation in the glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency group. The rate of screening for glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency in diabetes group was 3.6%,and the rate in the control group was 1. 1%.When HbAlc≥6.5%,the rate of screening for glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency in the diabetes group was signifi-cantly higher than that in the control group (χ2 =4.239,P =0.039).Conclusion The level of HbA1c is discordant with that of blood glucose in diabetic patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency group.Diabetes leads to the increasement of the rate of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. The glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity of diabetic patients with non-glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase dificiency is higher than that of the normal group. It may be associated with the level of RBC or increase of compensatory.Further more,glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase activity may be a good indicator for controlling diabetes, which remains to be further studied.
