1.Relationship between plasma interleukin-18 concentration and cardiovascular risk factors in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2014;(11):1428-1430
Objective To explore the relationship between interleukin-18(IL-18)and cardiovascular risk factors in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods A total of 59 female SLE patients were divided into three groups, according to the IL-18 concentration:≤200 pg/mL(group A),>200-350 pg/mL(group B),>350 pg/mL(group C).The cardiovascular risk fac-tors including body mass index(BMI),systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure(DBP),fasting insulin and glucose, blood lip-id,brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity(baPWV),and plasma homocysteine(Hcy)were determined in all patients. Results Compared with group A patients whose plasma IL-18 level was the lowest, the levels of insulin, triglyceride,Hcy and values of homeostasis model assessment insulin resistance(HOMA-IR)were significantly higher in SLE patients of group C,whose plasma IL-18 level was the highest(P <0.05).Conclusion In patients with SLE,the synergistic effects of hyperinsulinaemia, insulin resistance,hyper-homocysteinaemia,and vascular stiffness most likely contribute to the elevation of plasma IL-18 concentrations.
5.Prognostic value of combining red cell distribution width with serum uric acid levels in acute coronary syndrome patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention
International Journal of Laboratory Medicine 2015;(19):2854-2856
Objective To evaluate the prognostic value of combing pre-procedural red cell distribution width(RDW)with serum uric acid(SUA)levels in patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS)undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Meth-ods A total of 1 52 consecutive patients with ACS who underwent successful PCI within 12 hours after onset of symptom were en-rolled.RDW and SUA were determined within 12 hours before PCI.The patients were divided into 3 groups according to the cut-off values showed by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve:73 cases in group I,RDW<14.5% and SUA<402 μmol/L;50 cases in group Ⅱ,RDW< 14.5% and SUA≥ 402 μmol/L,RDW≥ 14.5% and SUA< 402 μmol/L;29 patients in group Ⅲ,RDW>14.5% and SUA>402 μmol/L.The pre-procedural RDW and SUA status associated with 30 days any cause mortality and major adverse combined cardiac events including revascularization,non-fatal recurrent myocardial infarction, secondary heart failure,rehos-pitalization and death were analyzed. Results Pre-procedural RDW and SUA level predicted 30 days cardiac mortality,RDW and SUA level correlated linearly(r=0.336,P =0.001).30 days major adverse combined cardiac events and any cause mortality were significantly different among the three groups(P =0.031,P =0.012).Conclusion Pre-procedural RDW≥ 14.5% and SUA≥402μmol/L indicates poor prognosis in ACS patients underwent successful PCI.Therefore the combination of RDW and SUA measure-ment should be taken into consideration for risk stratification to decide about the management strategies in ACS patients.
6.Clinical Observation of Scopolamine Butylbromide in the Adjuvant Treatment of Gastric Ulcer
China Pharmacy 2015;(27):3782-3783
OBJECTIVE:To observe the efficacy and safety of scopolamine butylbromide in the adjuvant treatment of gastric ul-cer. METHODS:The data of 160 patients with gastric ulcer were retrospectively analyzed and randomly divided into tradition group and combination group. Tradition group was orally treated with acid suppression, hemostasis and other conventional treatment. Based on the treatment of tradition group, combination group was treated with Scopolamine butylbromide for injection 20 mg by in-tramuscular injection, once a day,for continuous 7 d,continue conventional treatment after 7 d. The treatment course was 8 weeks. The clinical efficacy, different complete relief patients with abdominal pain in different time, and the recurrence rate after 1 year in 2 groups were observed, and the incidence of adverse reactions were recorded. RESULTS:The total effective rate in combination group was significantly higher than tradition group, recurrence rate was significantly lower than tradition group, different complete relief patients with abdominal pain in different time were significantly better than tradition group, the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05). There were no obvious adverse reactions in 2 groups during treatment. CONCLUSIONS:Based on the conven-tional treatment, scopolamine butylbromide can be used in the adjuvant treatment of gastric ulcer. It can obviously shorten the time of abdominal pain in patients with gastric ulcer and reduce the recurrence rate, with good safety.
7.Efficacy and safety analysis of safflower yellow injection in the treatment of stable angina pectoris
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2016;23(14):2205-2208
Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of safflower yellow injection in the treatment of sta-ble angina pectoris. Methods 70 patients with stable angina pectoris were selected and divided into observation group and control group by random number table method,35 cases in each group. The observation group used injection of safflower, and the control group used Xuesaitong. The effect was compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.3%,which was higher than 74.3% of the control group, the differ-ence was statistically significant(χ2 =5.285,P <0.01).The clinical indexes of the two groups after treatment were significantly improved than before treatment, the differences were statistically significant (t =13.021,25.407,3.376, 3.930,7.119,10.163,18.044,3.765,3.124,6.096,all P <0.05).The angina attack times of the observation group was less than that of the control group ,the dosage of nitroglycerin was lower than that of the control group ,the differences were statistically significant(t =4.686,6.568,all P <0.05).The incidence rate of adverse reaction was 5.7% in the observation group, compared with the control group of 8.6%,the difference was not statistically signifi-cant(χ2 =0.729,P >0.05).Conclusion The injection of safflower yellow pigment in the treatment of stable angina pectoris has high safety.
8.EFFECTS OF UNSATURATED FATTY ACIDS OF PINUS KORAIENSIS ON LIPID METABOLISM AND BRAIN FUNCTION IN OBESE RATS
Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 2004;0(06):-
Objective To study the effect of unsaturated fatty acid of Pinus koraiensis on lipid metabolism in rats. Method Unsaturated fatty acid was extracted and concentrated from Pinus koraiensis by supercritical fluid extraction and urea inclusion method. 40 rats were divided into 8 groups randomly. Except normal control group, the other groups were fed high fat diet. Normal control and obesity control groups were fed i.g. normal saline,Seed oil control group was fed i.g. pine nut oil and the other groups were fed i.g. 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, 1.6 and 2.0 g/kg bw unsaturated fatty acid. Body weights were weighed every week. After 4 w, the rats were killed, the serum total triglycerides(TG), total cholesterol(TC), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and hepatic lipase(HL), lipoprotein lipase(LPL), liver lipofuscin (LP) were assayed. Results Compared with obesity control group, the body weight, body fat ratio, serum TG, LP and TC level were reduced remarkably. HL and total lipase (LA) level enhanced remarkably. Conclusion The unsaturated fatty acid of Pinus koraiensis could enhance the lipid metabolism in obese rats.
