Tianjin Medical Journal 2015;(7):813-817
Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinaseⅡ (CaMKⅡ) has multiple functions, which made it play a central role in cardiovascular disease. Especially it activates numerous downstream targets in various signaling pathways that promotes vascular disease, heart failure, myocardial hypertrophy and arrhythmias. CaMKⅡcan impact calcium balance and increase calcium leak in myocardial cell via phosphorylating L type calcium channel, Ryanodine receptor (RyR 2) and phos?pholamban (PLN), and regulate ATP sensitive potassium current (IKATP) and late sodium current by affecting sodium channels and potassium channels. In addition, It can directly regulate transcription via activating the silk crack the original activated protein kinases (MAPKs) and acetylation enzyme (HDAC). These mechanisms have important roles in myocardial hypertro?phy, heart failure and arrhythmia. So we focus to demonstrating the structure and action mechanism of CaMKⅡto improve a new therapy of cardiovascular disease.

Tianjin Medical Journal 2014;(10):1043-1047
Cardiac contractile dysfunction and arrhythmic genesis are resulted from disturbed intracellular Na+and Ca2+ handling under condition of oxidation stress. Stress-induced intracellular signaling regulated mechanisms in which many activated stress kinases, such as cAMP-dependent protein kinase A, protein kinase C , Ca/calmodulin-dependent pro-tein kinaseⅡand classical pathways, are known to be involved. However, it is becoming increasingly evident that reactive oxygen species may directly oxidize these kinases, Na+and Ca2+channel protein and transporters, which lead to changing of intracellular Na+and Ca2+accumulation, and to trigger of arrhythmias.

Objective To study the effect of baclofen and physical therapy on spasticity after cerebral traumatic injury.Methods20 Patients accepted Baclofen and physical therapy for 3~6 months.Blood and urine routine test, hepatic and renal function were monitored before and every 2 months after treatment.Modified Ashworth scale and Modified Barthel Index(MBI)were used for evaluation.ResultsTheir muscular tension was significantly improved(P<0.01)after treatment,as well as the MBI(P<0.01).1 case was very effective,9 cases were effective,8 cases were improved,2 cases were not effective. No side-effect was observed.ConclusionBaclofen and physical therapy is effective on spasticity after cerebral traumatic injury, especially intervening at the early stage.

Objective To explore a reasonable therapeutic plan for treating HIV/AIDS with traditional Chinese medicine plus western medicine. Methods Twenty-nine patients with HIV/AIDS were selected and recruited into a HIV group and a AIDS group according to the clinical diagnosis. Each group was further divided into comparison stage and treatment stage. In HIV group, observations and statistics of observation indexes were performed during the comparison stage; while TCM treatment was applied in the treatment stage. In AIDS group, HAART was applied in the comparison stage, and HAART combined with TCM therapy were used in the treatment stage. Both comparison stage and the treatment stage lasted 12 months. Results In HIV group, self control results showed that immune and virus indexes did not have significant changes, but also with no side or toxic effects, In the AIDS group, contrasting between the comparison stage and the treatment stage showed that there were significant improvement of symptoms (χ2=4.9231, 2.5000, P<0.05) , anti-toxic effects (χ2=9.333、 16.4091、10.2273, P<0.01) and immune indexed(t=3.1990,P<0.01) after treated additionally with traditional Chinese medicine. Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine could improve the immunity function and clinical symptoms, reduce side effect of HAART medicine and stabilize CD4+ T cells of patient with HIV/AIDS.

International Eye Science 2016;16(11):2107-2108
AIM: To evaluate the case-based learning ( CBL ) in ophthalmology teaching practice.
METHODS: A total of 88 students were taught by the combination of lecture-based teaching with CBL form of sensory organs in Jinzhou Medical Teaching Classes. After class, the questionnaire was filled by each student to evaluate the CBL teaching mode.
RESULTS:The description of the data was analyzed as a percentage of each option. All the students were taught by CBL at the end of the class, most of the students could accept the teaching mode, it was helpful for students to understand the principle of clinical treatment, increased the interest in the process of teaching. And it was conducive to review the knowledge and exercise clinical case analysis ability. And it could recognize the ophthalmic diseases and special auxiliary examination. CBL teaching mode could stimulate students' interest in learning ophthalmology, it was beneficial to the cultivation of theory combined with practice and clinical thinking.
CONCLUSION: CBL teaching mode can be used as an auxiliary teaching lecture-based learning teaching.

Objective To analyze and summarize the clinical , pathological features of 16 patients with centronuclear myopathy. Methods All of the 16 patients performed clinical examination and sporadic patients and a proband with family history ( n=6 ) performed serum creatine kinase , electromyography and open muscle biopsies , and the specimens were used for a standard series of histological and histochemical stainings. The clinical and pathological features of these patients were analyzed. Results The proportion of centronuclear myopathy in suspected myopathy cases was 0.127%(6/4 724) in our department. The onset time ranged from infancy to adulthood. The common initial symptoms included mild to moderate weakness of lower limbs and bilateral ptosis ( n =4 ).The other symptoms were facial weakness ( n =1 ) and ophthalmoplegia (n=1).There were 12 patients performing distal weakness exceeding proximal weakness . One family with autosomal dominant inheritance of 11 patients had a later age of onset than the sporadic ones and manifested bilateral ptosis , bilateral lower limbs weakness , especially in distal muscle.Muscle biopsies showed pronouncedly increased amount of fibers with centrally placed nuclei with predominant type Ⅰfibers and a clear perinuclear halo surrounding the centrally placed nuclei and an appearance of spoke of a wheel in some fibers. Conclusions This series of centronuclear myopathy patients manifest clinical heterogeneity.Muscle biopsies show features of centralized nuclei pronounced increase , type Ⅰfibers predominance , etc. These can provide evidences for the diagnosis of the disease.
