Objective By studying clinical features, treatment and prognosis of eosinophilic gastroenteritis of infants resulted from milk protein allergy an, to improve the diagnosis and treatment level of eosinophilic gastroenteritis. Methods 24 cases of infants which diagnosed eosinophilic gastroenteritis were chosen from June of 2010 to January of 2014 in children’s Hospital of XX province and By retrospective analysis clinical manifestations, endoscopic features, histopathology, treatment and prognosis of the 24 cases. Results The 24 cases who were vomiting, paroxysmal crying, abdominal distension (100.00%), which accompanied by haematemesis 23 cases (95.83%), 1case (4.17%) hematochezia, 17cases (70.83%) eczema, 21 cases (87.50%) mild to moderate anemia, 1 cases (4.17%) severe anemia, 19 cases (79.17%) the increasing of peripheral blood eosinophil cells, 8 cases (33.33%)the increasing of IgE of the serum and 4 cases (16.67%) the test of antibody of the Helicobacter pylori in Serum was positive; 3 cases (12.50%) were milk protein allergy by the detecting of food allergen-speciifc IgE antibodies, the endoscopic characteristics were hyperemia, edema, erosion, ulcer of gastric and duodenal mucosa. Among them, 24 cases (100.00%) were gastritis, 5 cases (20.83%) duodenitis and 1 cases (4.17%) duodenal ulcer. The histopathology of the 24 cases revealed that there were gastric or duodenal eosinophils infiltration (> 20/HPF) and were all associated with mast cell infiltration; By antisecretory, protection of the gastrointestinal mucosa and the obviating of milk protein had a satisfactory treatment effect, 24 cases of children with oral general formula milk test conifrmed that the milk protein allergy, The 3 cases of the patients were reviewed by 8~12 weeks after gastroscope, and the mucosa of the duodenum was smooth, Eosinophils were/HPF<8, mast cells were/HPF<5. Conclusion There are no speciifc clinical and endoscopic manifestations in eosinophilic gastroenteritis of infants resulted from milk protein allergy, gastrointestinal mucosa eosinophil inifltration and simultaneously are accompanied by abnormal mast cell inifltration;Mucosal type without the use of corticosteroids, through milk protein avoidance treatment can achieve satisfactory results, But definite diagnosis must rely on biopsy and eosinophils, combined with avoidance stimulation test of milk protein can further confirmed, But the excitation test should be at least 10 days of observation of children, and carefully recorded symptoms, so as not to delay the missed diagnosis of CMPA.

Liver fibrosis is a common chronic liver disease, which is a stress response process of liver cells affected by one or more pathogenies for long term or repeatedly. During the fibrosis process, massive accumulated extracellular matrix can form scar tissue, which results in liver dysfunction or failure and seriously endangers the health of people. According to many independent reports, stem cell therapy can facilitate the alleviation of liver fibrosis. During the stem cell therapy, stem cells migrate to the injury site of liver and alleviate the liver fibrosis by improving the microenvironment of the scar area via paracrine way. This article reviews the formation, treatment, and stem cell therapy of liver fibrosis.

Objective To study the radiation dose level and dose distribution of leakage and scattering radiation in a helical tomotherapy (TOMO) room, and to identify the dose distribution characteristic which is different from the conventional radiotherapy so as to provide scientific data for the radiation protection of TOMO.Methods A helical tomotherapy facility typed Tomotherapy Hi-Art was employed as the radiotherapy device. The air kerma from leakage radiation and scattering radiation distributed on the couch plane and in TOMO room were detected mainly by GR-200A TLDs of LiF(Mg,Cu,P),while 100 Gy were being accumulated under the condition of simulation radiation treatment. Then, the leakage radiation ratio and scattering-leakage radiation ratio (the ratio of site radiation dose to isocenter standard output dose) were calculated. Results The radiation level and dose distribution of leakage radiation and scattering radiation in the TOMO treatment room were in bilateral symmetry to the rotation isocenter and the treatment couch longitudinal axis, and the radiation level in front of the radiotherapy device was significantly higher than that of the rear of the TOMO equipment. In the plane of treatment couch, the maximum leakage radiation ratio at the position 100 cm away from the isocenter was only 1.3 × 10-4,and the mean value of the leakage radiation ratio at the position 300 cm away from the isocenter was lower than 2.0 × 10-5.The scattering radiation at 200-300 cm away from the isocenter was accounted for 25%-30% of the leakage radiation from the responding sites, and the indoor scattering radiation decreased faster than leakage radiation with the distance from the isocenter. Conclusions The radiation level of leakage and scattering in a TOMO room is significantly lower than that in a conventional radiotherapy room.

ObjectiveTo investigate the role of overexpressed proinflammatory cytokines in the pathogenesis of cerebral palsy (CP).MethodsLevels of tumor necrotic factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) in serum of 31 CP children, 20 healthy children (as controls), 37 neonates with CP risk factors such as hypoxic-ischemic injury and/or perinatal infection, and 20 healthy neonates (as controls) were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA) retrospectively.ResultsLevels of TNF-α and IL-6 of CP children and neonates with CP risk factors were significantly higher than that of healthy controls (P<0.05). TNF-α level of CP children was significantly higher than that of neonates with CP risk factors (P<0.05), but there was no significant difference in IL-6 level between two groups.ConclusionOverexpressed proinflammatory cytokines play an important role in the pathogenesis of CP and may be an independent risk factor of CP.

AIMTo investigate the effects of Angelica sinensis injection on the neuronal metabolites and blood flow speed within reperfusion in the ischemic cerebral injury of rats.
METHODSSixty-nine male Sprague Dawley rats with an average body weight of 150 to 170 g were used, and were randomly divided into three groups: sham operation group (n = 4), ischemia injury group (n = 30) underwent an operation of ischemic brain injury, Angelica-treated group (n = 35) underwent the same operation and received the treatment of Angelica sinensis injection (5 g/kg bw, i. p). The right middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) of both ischemia injury group and Angelica-treated group rats was induced by 5/0 nylon suture for 2 hours. The reperfusion was conducted for three to four hours and five to six hours respectively following MCAO. T2 weighted-imaging (T2WI) and 1H magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H MRS) were performed, to study the changes in imaging and neuronal metabolites N-acetyl aspartate (NAA), creatine/phosphocreatine (Cr/ PCr) and choline (Cho) following cerebral ischemia. The changes in blood flow speed were measured by laser Doppler flowmetry. The surface vascular density in right hemisphere were calculated.
RESULTSThe hyperintense signals and volume in the right cerebrum in Angelica-treated group decreased compared with those of the ischemia injury group, the T2 values were decreased, and the level of NAA increased, the ratio of Cr/NAA and Cho/NAA decreased. The blood flow speed in Angelica-treated group was improved. The length of brain surface vessels in group C increased.
CONCLUSIONThe Angelica sinensis injection enhanced the blood circulation in the ischemic brain, improved the neuronal metabolisms.
