1.Clinical observations of maintenance chemotherapy by pemetrexed on advanced non-small-cell lung cancer
The Journal of Practical Medicine 2015;31(15):2553-2555
Objective To observe the clinical effect of maintenance chemotherapy by pemetrexed in advanced non-small-cell lung cancer. Methods 60 patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (stage Ⅲb~ Ⅳ) were randomly divided into observation group and control group , all the patients showed complete or partial remission after receiving 4 cycles of induction chemotherapy. Observation group was given pemetrexed maintenance (500 mg/m2 on days 1 every 21 days) until first disease progression, control group was given best supportive care . Progression free survival ( PFS ) , overall survival ( OS ) and adverse reaction were observed . Results PFS and OS of observation group were significantly higher than control group, PFS was (7.3 ± 1.20) vs (3.5 ± 1.13) months, OS was (12.2 ± 1.14) vs (7.1 ± 1.23) months, the difference was statistically significant. The main side effects were fatigue and leucopenia which were tolerable. Conclusion Maintenance therapy with peme-trexed following initial therapy was feasible, and extended the PFS and OS, and shows a favorable toxicity profile.
2.Magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging for optic nerves and optic radiation in blind patients
Chinese Journal of Ocular Fundus Diseases 2010;26(4):349-352
Objective To observe the characteristics of magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging (MR-DTI)for optic nerves and optic radiation in blind patients. Methods The optic nerves and optic radiation of 20 blind patients (blind group) and 20 controls (control group) were scanned by MR-DTI.Fractional anisotropy (FA) and directional encoded color (DEC) maps were acquired through postprocessing with the aid of volume-one 1. 72 software. The signal intensity of optic nerves and optic radiation were then observed. The FA, mean diffusivity (MD), λ∥ and λ⊥ value of bilateral optic nerves and optic radiation in two groups were measured in the DEC maps. Results While the high signal intensity was found in bilateral optic nerves in FA and DEC maps in control group, the signal decreased markedly in the blind group. The FA and λ∥ value of optic nerves in the blind group were declined obviously compared to that in the control group. The difference was statistically significant (t= 16. 294, 14. 660;P=0. 000). The MD and λ⊥ value of optic nerves in the blind group were increased obviously compared to that in the control group, the difference was also statistically significant (t=8. 096, 8. 538;P = 0. 000). The high signal intensity was found in bilateral optic radiation in FA and DEC maps in both the blind and control groups. There were no statistic differences in FA and MD value in bilateral optic radiation between the blind and control groups (Left:t=1.456,1.811;P = 0. 152,0.076. Right:t = 0. 779,0. 073;P = 0. 440,0. 942). Conclusion A low signal intensity of bilateral optic nerves and a high signal intensity of bilateral optic radiation were found in blind patients.

Modern Clinical Nursing 2014;(12):32-34
ObjectiveTo explore the influence of 3C bolus wizard on postprandial glucose levels in diabetic patients. MethodFifty-eight patients with type 2 diabetes in our hospital were monitored with continuous glucose monitoring system(CGMS), continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion(CSII)and CareLink(3C for short)for 6 days. The function of “3C” bolus wizard was applied during treatment and all the patients were given dietary nursing and health education. The glucose level was observed.ResultThe level of P2hBG of the 58 patients was between 6.4~10.7mmol/L in 3~6 days.ConclusionsBolus wizard plays an important role in “3C” treatment. It can make the postprandial glucose of patients satisfactorily controlled in a short time only to avoid insulin hypoglycemia because of large doses of insulin. At the same time, health education on patients can achieve remarkable results as well.

Journal of China Medical University 2001;30(1):18-19
Objective: Our aim was to investigate whether the immune RNA (iRNA) can inhibit the endotoxin-induced uveitis (EIU). Methods: The EIU was induced by injecting endotoxin of E.Coli into rats hypodermically. iRNA was abstracted from the livers and spleens of the rabbits which had been injected by E.Coli six times. The iRNA was introduced intraperitoneally into the rats both at half an hour and 3 hours after the injection of endotoxin. The effect of iRNA was evaluated by protein determination and cell count in aqueous houmer(AH). Results: The appearance of EIU in the iRNA treated rats was delayed, about 3 hours later than the rats received only endotoxin injection. The AH protein decreased by 58.34% and cellular infiltration decreased by 27.62% in iRNA treated group at the 24 hours. Conclusion: The iRNA may partly prevent the development of EIU and significantly reduce the severity of EIU.

Objective To assess the evolution of gastric epithelial dysplasia (GED). Methods We reviewed the history of 239 of patients with gastric dysplasia diagnosed by endoscopic biopsy, and 195 were followed up for 61. 37 months. Results Among 239 cases of dysplasia (261 lesions) , there were 119, with mild dysplasia, 77 with moderate dysplasia, and 43 with severe dysplasia. The gastric dysplasia lesions are mainly in lesser curvature, and its endoscopic appearance mostly is localized erosion. In the follow - up group, regression of dysplasia was demonstrated in 86. 36% , 81. 25% , and 47. 62% of mild, moderate and severe dysplasia respectively. Progression to gastric cancer was detected in 8. 18% , 15. 63% , and 72. 09% of mild, moderate, and severe dysplasia, respectively. The relative risk (RR) of mild, moderate, severe dysplasia was 1. 96, 3. 74, and 17. 25 respectively. Conclusion Carcinomatous evolution of GED increases proportionally with its histological grade. Gastroscopy biopsy follow-up should be held up for all grades of GED, especially, in high grade GED, gastroscopy and biopsy should be taken as soon as possible.
